- the stator 1 can be obtained by assembling the cylindrical core 2.
- a stator manufacturing method for manufacturing a stator by winding a coil unit around a core using a cylindrical core and a coil unit constituting a coil is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2011-193597. Yes.
- a coil (a plurality of coil units) is wound around a core using a jig having a plurality of holding grooves formed on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical main body. - the coil is wound through a process of extruding radially and inserting the coil side portion of each coil unit into the slot of the core.
- two coil units in which the coil side portions are commonly accommodated in the same slot have the coil side portions of one coil unit unevenly distributed radially outward in the slot and the other coil unit.
- the coil side is unevenly distributed radially inward. Since these are unevenly distributed, it is possible to insert the coil side portions one by one, and the problem that the coil units interfere with each other when they are arranged on the radially inner side does not occur.
- the corners of the four corners of the rectangular wire 32 having a rectangular cross section in each of the pair of coil side portions 42 of the coil unit 4 are not a general symmetrical shape but an asymmetrical shape.

- the inner peripheral side corner 34 preferably has a radius of curvature that is, for example, twice or more (preferably three times or more) as compared to the outer peripheral side corner 36. If it does in this way, the twist load which each coil side part 42 receives in an insertion process can be controlled by relatively big rounding of the inner peripheral side corner part 34. More specifically, when the coil side portion 42 is twisted in the slot 23, the coil side portion 42 is inclined with respect to the side wall 23b of the slot 23, but the inner peripheral side corner portion 34 is greatly rounded. As a result, the corners of the coil side portion 42 are prevented from strongly hitting the side wall 23b.
- the radius of curvature of the inner peripheral side corner portion 34 is increased because the coil unit 4 is inserted while increasing the circumferential interval between the pair of coil side portions 42. This is because the circumferential side (winding center side) surface strongly hits the side wall 23 b of the slot 23.
- the radius of curvature of the inner peripheral side corner portion 34 which is the corner portion that strongly hits the side wall 23b, the stress when the coil side portion 42 hits the side wall 23b can be relieved. Therefore, the rectangular wire 32 and the insulating sheet 28 can be effectively prevented from being damaged, and the electrical insulation between the core 2 and the coil 3 can be ensured satisfactorily.
