Abstract

Description
本公开涉及一种像素电路、有机电致发光显示面板及显示装置。
有机发光显示器(Organic Light Emitting Diode,OLED)是当今平板显示器研究领域的热点之一。与液晶显示器相比,OLED具有低能耗、生产成本低、自发光、宽视角及响应速度快等优点。目前,在手机、PDA、数码相机等显示领域OLED已经开始逐步取代传统的LCD显示屏。与LCD利用稳定的电压控制亮度不同,OLED属于电流驱动,需要稳定的电流来控制发光。
目前,对于已知的驱动OLED发光的像素电路而言,由于工艺制程和器件老化等原因,会使各像素电路中的驱动晶体管的阈值电压存在不均匀性,这样就导致了流过每个像素点OLED的电流发生变化使得显示亮度不均,从而影响整个图像的显示效果。
因此,如何保证显示装置中驱动发光器件OLED的电流的均一性,从而保证显示画面的质量,是本领域技术人员亟待解决的问题。
发明内容
本公开实施例提供一种像素电路、有机电致发光显示面板及显示装置,用以解决现有技术中存在的显示装置中驱动发光器件OLED的电流均一性差,显示亮度不均的问题。
本公开实施例提供了一种像素电路,包括:发光器件、充电模块、驱动模块、测试模块;其中,
所述充电模块的输入端与数据信号端相连、控制端与扫描信号端相连、输出端分别与所述测试模块的第一输入端和第一输出端相连;
所述驱动模块的控制端与所述测试模块的第二输出端相连、输入端与第一参考信号端相连、输出端与所述发光器件的输入端相连;
所述测试模块的控制端与测试信号端相连、第二输入端与所述发光器件的输出端相连、第三输出端与第二参考信号端相连;所述测试信号端用于提
供在显示时间段和测试时间段之间切换的测试信号。
在显示时间段,所述测试模块用于导通所述充电模块的输出端和所述驱动模块的控制端,以及导通所述第二参考信号端与所述发光器件的输出端,使所述充电模块在所述扫描信号端的控制下向所述驱动模块提供驱动电压信号,所述驱动模块在所述驱动电压信号的控制下驱动所述发光器件发光。

在一种可能的实施方式中,本公开实施例提供的上述显示装置中,还包括:通过测试信号线与测试信号端相连的测试控制单元,以及通过数据线与数据信号端相连的补偿处理单元和驱动单元;
所述测试控制单元用于向所述测试信号端提供在显示时间段和测试时间段之间切换的测试信号;
所述补偿处理单元用于在测试时间段根据从所述数据信号端接收到的电流信号确定对各所述像素电路的补偿电压信号,并向所述驱动单元发送所述补偿电压信号;
所述驱动单元用于将所述补偿处理单元发送的补偿电压信号与从信号源接收的数据信号叠加后发送至所述数据信号端。

本公开实施例提供了一种像素电路、有机电致发光显示面板及显示装置,在像素电路中增加了测试模块,该测试模块接收在显示时间段和测试时间段之间切换的测试信号,用于在显示时间段导通充电模块的输出端和驱动模块的控制端,以及导通第二参考信号端与发光器件的输出端,使充电模块在扫描信号端的控制下向驱动模块提供驱动电压信号,驱动模块在驱动电压信号的控制下驱动发光器件发光,实现正常的发光功能;该测试模块还用于在测试时间段导通发光器件的输出端与充电模块的输出端,使充电模块在扫描信号端的控制下向数据信号端输出发光器件的电流信号,进而使外部补偿处理单元根据数据信号端接收到的电流信号确定对各像素电路的补偿电压信号,驱动单元将补偿处理单元确定的补偿电压信号与从信号源接收的数据信号叠加后发送至数据信号端,通过充电模块为驱动模块提供补偿后的驱动电压信号,实现外部补偿功能,最终实现每一个像素中驱动发光器件的电流信号达到均一性标准,进而使每一个像素的亮度显示均匀,从而保证了显示画面的质量。

下面结合附图,对本公开实施例提供的像素电路、有机电致发光显示面板及显示装置的具体实施方式进行详细地说明。
图1为一种已知的像素电路的结构示意图。如图1所示,该驱动OLED发光的像素电路包括:驱动晶体管M1、开关晶体管M2、存储电容C以及发光器件OLED;其中,驱动晶体管M1的栅极分别与开关晶体管M2的漏极和存储电容C的一端相连、源极分别与存储电容C的另一端和高电压信号端VDD相连、漏极与发光器件OLED的一端相连;开关晶体管M2的栅极与扫描信号端Gate相连、漏极与数据信号端Data相连;发光器件OLED的另一端与低电压信号端VSS相连;驱动晶体管M1驱动发光器件OLED发光时,驱动电流由高电压信号端VDD、数据信号端Data以及驱动晶体管M1共同控制,由于驱动晶体管M1在制作过程中无法做到完全一致,且由于工艺制程和器件老化等原因,会使各像素电路中的驱动晶体管M1的阈值电压Vth存在不均匀性,这样就导致了流过每个像素点OLED的电流发生变化使得显示亮度不均,从而影响整个图像的显示效果。
图2示出本公开实施例提供的像素电路的结构示意图。如图2所示,本公开实施例的像素电路包括:发光器件01、充电模块02、驱动模块03、测试模块04。
在图2所示像素电路中,充电模块02的输入端与数据信号端Data相连、
控制端与扫描信号端Gate相连、输出端分别与测试模块04的第一输入端a1和第一输出端b1相连;
驱动模块03的控制端与测试模块04的第二输出端b2相连、输入端与第一参考信号端Ref1相连、输出端与发光器件01的输入端相连;
测试模块04的控制端与测试信号端TEST相连、第二输入端a2与发光器件01的输出端相连、第三输出端b3与第二参考信号端Ref2相连;测试信号端TEST用于提供在显示时间段和测试时间段之间切换的测试信号。
可替换地,在显示时间段,测试模块04可用于导通充电模块02的输出端和驱动模块03的控制端,以及导通第二参考信号端Ref2与发光器件01的输出端,使充电模块02在扫描信号端Gate的控制下向驱动模块03提供驱动电压信号,驱动模块03在驱动电压信号的控制下驱动发光器件01发光。
可替换地,在测试时间段,测试模块04可用于导通发光器件01的输出端与充电模块02的输出端,使充电模块02在扫描信号端Gate的控制下向数据信号端Data输出发光器件01的电流信号。
在本公开实施例提供的上述像素电路中,增加了测试模块04,该测试模块04接收在显示时间段和测试时间段之间切换的测试信号,用于在显示时间段导通充电模块02的输出端和驱动模块03的控制端,以及导通第二参考信号端Ref2与发光器件01的输出端,使充电模块02在扫描信号端Gate的控制下向驱动模块03提供驱动电压信号,驱动模块03在驱动电压信号的控制下驱动发光器件01发光,实现正常的发光功能。该测试模块04还用于在测试时间段导通发光器件01的输出端与充电模块02的输出端,使充电模块02在扫描信号端Gate的控制下向数据信号端Data输出发光器件01的电流信号,为发光器件01的电流信号流向数据信号端Data完成测试提供了流通路径,以保证最终实现每一个像素中驱动发光器件的电流信号达到均一性标准,进而使每一个像素的亮度显示均匀,从而保证了显示画面的质量。
如图3a和图4a所示,本发明实施例提供的上述像素电路中的测试模块04,可以包括:第一开关晶体管T1、以及掺杂极性相同的第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3;第一开关晶体管T1分别与第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3的掺杂极性相反。
在图3a和图4a所示实施例中,第一开关晶体管T1的栅极、第二开关晶体管T2的栅极以及第三开关晶体管T3的栅极分别与测试信号端TEST相连;
第一开关晶体管T1的源极和第三开关晶体管T3的源极分别与发光器件的输出端相连;
第一开关晶体管T1的漏极和第二开关晶体管T2的源极分别与充电模块02的输出端相连;
第二开关晶体管T2的漏极与驱动模块03的控制端相连;
第三开关晶体管T3的漏极与第二参考信号端Vss相连。
具体地,采用上述第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3组成测试模块04时,结合如图3b和4b所示的工作时序图,其中图3b和图4b针对的是扫描一行像素电路,其工作原理如下:在显示时间段A,测试信号端TEST输入测试信号控制第一开关晶体管T1处于关闭状态,并控制第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3处于开启状态,使充电模块02输出驱动电压信号到驱动模块03,驱动模块03在驱动电压信号的控制下驱动发光器件01发光,在测试时间段B,测试信号端TEST输入与显示时间段A的测试信号极性相反的测试信号,控制第一开关晶体管T1处于开启状态,并控制第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3处于关闭状态,使发光器件01的电流信号流向充电模块02的输出端,充电模块02在扫描信号端Gate的控制下将发光器件01的电流信号输出到数据信号端Data,即在显示时间段A和测试时间段B像素电路中的电流流通方向相反,为完成驱动电流信号的测试与外部补偿提供了电流信号的流通路径,最终实现每一个像素中驱动发光器件01的电流信号达到均一性标准,进而使每一个像素的亮度显示均匀,从而保证了显示画面的质量。
本公开实施例提供的上述像素电路中,测试模块04要在显示时间段A和测试时间段B完成不同的工作,因此要求第一开关晶体管T1分别与第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3的掺杂类型相反。具体地,如图3a所示,可以将第一开关晶体管T1设置为N型晶体管,将第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3设置为P型晶体管。在此结构下,如图3b所示,需要测试信号端TEST在显示时间段A输入低电平信号,控制第一开关晶体管T1处于关闭状态,并控制第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3处于开启状态,在测试时间段B测试信号端TEST输入高电平信号,控制第一开关晶体管T1处于开启状态,并控制第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3处于关闭状态。也可以如图4a所示,将第一开关晶体管设置为P型晶体管时,将第二开关晶
体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3设置为N型晶体管,在此结构下,如图4b所示,需要测试信号端TEST在显示时间段A输入高电平信号,控制第一开关晶体管T1处于关闭状态,并控制第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3处于开启状态,在测试时间段B测试信号端TEST输入低电平信号,控制第一开关晶体管T1处于开启状态,并控制第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3处于关闭状态。这样,第一开关晶体管T1、第二开关晶体管T2和第三开关晶体管T3在测试信号端TEST的控制下分时开启,完成测试模块04在不同时间段的功能。
如图3a和图4a所示,本公开实施例提供的上述像素电路中,充电模块02可以包括:第四开关晶体管T4;第四开关晶体管T4的栅极与扫描信号端Gate相连、源极与数据信号端Data相连、漏极与测试模块04的第一输入端a1和第一输出端b1相连。
具体地,第四开关晶体管T4可以为P型晶体管,如图3a所示,也可以为N型晶体管,如图4a所示,在此不作限定。
当采用P型晶体管制作第四开关晶体管T4时,如图3b所示,在显示时间段A,扫描信号端Gate输入低电平信号,控制第四开关晶体管T4处于开启状态,开启的第四开关晶体管T4通过测试模块04将数据信号端Data上的驱动电压信号输出到驱动模块03的控制端,使驱动模块03在驱动电压信号的控制下驱动发光器件01发光,实现正常发光功能;在测试时间段B,扫描信号端Gate仍然输入低电平信号,控制第四开关晶体管T4处于开启状态,开启的第四开关晶体管T4将测试模块04输出的发光器件01的电流信号输出到数据信号端Data,为发光器件01的电流信号流向数据信号端Data完成测试提供了流通路径。
当采用N型晶体管制作第四开关晶体管T4时,如图4b所示,在显示时间段A和测试时间段B,扫描信号端Gate输入高电平信号,控制第四开关晶体管T4处于开启状态,开启的第四开关晶体管T4在显示时间段A和测试时间段B完成的功能与第四开关晶体管采用P型晶体管制作时相同,重复之处不再赘述。
如图3a和图4a所示,本公开实施例提供的上述像素电路中,驱动模块03可以包括:存储电容C1和第五开关晶体管T5;第五开关晶体管T5的源极与第一参考信号端Ref1相连、栅极与测试模块04的第二输出端b2相连、漏
极与发光器件01的输入端相连;在第五开关晶体管T5为P型晶体管时,存储电容C1并联在第五开关晶体管T5的源极和栅极之间;在第五开关晶体管T5为N型晶体管时,存储电容C1并联在第五开关晶体管T5的漏极和栅极之间。具体地,在显示时间段A,第五开关晶体管T5在驱动电压信号的控制下驱动发光器件01发光;在测试时间段B,由于存储电容C1放电,为第五开关晶体管T5提供驱动电压信号,因此第五开关晶体管T5仍处于开启状态,仍驱动发光器件01发光。
需要说明的是本公开上述实施例中提到的开关晶体管可以是薄膜晶体管(TFT,Thin Film Trans istor),也可以是金属氧化物半导体场效应管(MOS,Metal Oxide Scmiconductor),在此不做限定。在具体实施中,这些晶体管的源极和漏极可以互换,不做具体区分。
需要说明的是,本公开实施例提供的上述像素电路可以实现外部补偿的功能,也可以应用于具有内部补偿功能的像素电路中,以实现对驱动晶体管阈值电压的补偿,其实施方式与工作原理与本公开实施例提供的上述像素电路相似,重复之处不再赘述。
基于同一公开构思,本公开实施例提供了一种有机电致发光显示面板,包括多个呈阵列排布的本公开实施例提供的上述像素电路。由于该有机电致发光显示面板解决问题的原理与像素电路相似,因此该有机电致发光显示面板的实施可以参见像素电路的实施,重复之处不再赘述。
基于同一公开构思,本公开实施例提供了一种显示装置,包括本公开实施例提供的上述有机电致发光显示面板。该显示装置可以为:手机、平板电脑、电视机、显示器、笔记本电脑、数码相框、导航仪等任何具有显示功能的产品或部件。由于该显示装置解决问题的原理与有机电致发光显示面板相似,因此该显示装置的实施可以参见有机电致发光显示面板的实施,重复之处不再赘述。
图5示出本公开实施例提供的显示装置的结构示意图。如图5所示,在具体实施时,本公开实施例提供的上述显示装置中除了包括本公开实施例提供的上述有机电致发光显示面板之外,还可以包括:
通过测试信号线与测试信号端TEST相连的测试控制单元05,以及通过数据线与数据信号端Data相连的补偿处理单元06和驱动单元07;其中,
测试控制单元05用于向测试信号端TEST提供在显示时间段和测试时间
段之间切换的测试信号;
补偿处理单元06用于在测试时间段根据从数据信号端Data接收到的电流信号确定对各像素电路的补偿电压信号,并向驱动单元07发送补偿电压信号;
驱动单元07用于将补偿处理单元06发送的补偿电压信号与从信号源接收的数据信号叠加后发送至数据信号端Data。
具体地,本公开实施例提供的上述显示装置,在显示时间段,像素电路中的充电模块02通过测试模块04为驱动模块03提供驱动电压信号,控制驱动模块03驱动发光器件01发光,实现正常发光功能;在测试时间段,发光器件01输出端输出的电流信号经过测试模块04到达充电模块02的输出端,充电模块02在扫描信号端Gate的控制下将电流信号输出到数据信号端Data,进而补偿处理单元06根据从数据信号端Data接收到的电流信号确定对各像素电路的补偿电压信号,驱动单元07将补偿处理单元06确定的补偿电压信号与从信号源接收的数据信号叠加后发送至数据信号端Data,从而实现了补偿功能。
例如,本公开实施例提供的上述显示装置,在测试时间段补偿处理单元06结合扫描信号端Gate的选通作用,根据每一个像素单元的数据信号端Data接收到的电流信号,确定出相应的补偿电压信号,对确定补偿电压信号的像素单元通过驱动单元07实现外部补偿,然后再次测试每个像素单元的电流情况,直到所有像素单元的电流达到均一性标准,此时将补偿参数写入到驱动单元07中,例如第N行第N列像素单元需要补偿电压信号为-0.1V,则在以后的像素驱动过程中,此像素单元的驱动电压信号保持降低0.1V,这样最终实现了各像素单元的驱动电流达到均一性标准,保证了像素显示亮度的均匀性,从而保证了显示画面的质量。
在具体实施时,本公开实施例提供的上述显示装置中,补偿处理单元06和驱动单元07可以集成在同一芯片上。具体地,在进行产品设计时,还可以将测试控制单元05与补偿处理单元06和驱动单元07集成到同一芯片,这样的设计有利于以最小的占用空间实现对所有像素的同时控制,避免对产品的开口率产生影响,节省布局空间,降低生产成本。
本公开实施例提供了一种像素电路、有机电致发光显示面板及显示装置,在像素电路中增加了测试模块,该测试模块接收在显示时间段和测试时间段
之间切换的测试信号,用于在显示时间段导通充电模块的输出端和驱动模块的控制端,以及导通第二参考信号端与发光器件的输出端,使充电模块在扫描信号端的控制下向驱动模块提供驱动电压信号,驱动模块在驱动电压信号的控制下驱动发光器件发光,实现正常的发光功能;该测试模块还用于在测试时间段导通发光器件的输出端与充电模块的输出端,使充电模块在扫描信号端的控制下向数据信号端输出发光器件的电流信号,进而使外部补偿处理单元根据数据信号端接收到的电流信号确定对各像素电路的补偿电压信号,驱动单元将补偿处理单元确定的补偿电压信号与从信号源接收的数据信号叠加后发送至数据信号端,通过充电模块为驱动模块提供补偿后的驱动电压信号,实现外部补偿功能,最终实现每一个像素中驱动发光器件的电流信号达到均一性标准,进而使每一个像素的亮度显示均匀,从而保证了显示画面的质量。
显然,本领域的技术人员可以对本公开实施例进行各种改动和变型而不脱离本公开的精神和范围。这样,倘若本公开实施例的这些修改和变型属于本公开权利要求及其等同技术的范围之内,则本公开也意图包含这些改动和变型在内。
本申请要求于2014年8月22日递交的中国专利申请第201410419203.4号的优先权,在此全文引用该中国专利申请公开的内容作为本申请的一部分。
Claims (11)
- 一种像素电路,包括:发光器件、充电模块、驱动模块、测试模块;其中,所述充电模块的输入端与数据信号端相连、控制端与扫描信号端相连、输出端分别与所述测试模块的第一输入端和第一输出端相连;所述驱动模块的控制端与所述测试模块的第二输出端相连、输入端与第一参考信号端相连、输出端与所述发光器件的输入端相连;所述测试模块的控制端与测试信号端相连、第二输入端与所述发光器件的输出端相连、第三输出端与第二参考信号端相连,其中所述测试信号端用于提供在显示时间段和测试时间段之间切换的测试信号。
- 如权利要求1所述的像素电路,其中,在显示时间段,所述测试模块用于导通所述充电模块的输出端和所述驱动模块的控制端,以及导通所述第二参考信号端与所述发光器件的输出端,使所述充电模块在所述扫描信号端的控制下向所述驱动模块提供驱动电压信号,所述驱动模块在所述驱动电压信号的控制下驱动所述发光器件发光。
- 如权利要求1或2所述的像素电路,其中,在测试时间段,所述测试模块用于导通所述发光器件的输出端与所述充电模块的输出端,使所述充电模块在所述扫描信号端的控制下向所述数据信号端输出所述发光器件的电流信号。
- 如权利要求1-3之一所述的像素电路,其中,所述测试模块包括:第一开关晶体管、以及掺杂极性相同的第二开关晶体管和第三开关晶体管;所述第一开关晶体管分别与所述第二开关晶体管和所述第三开关晶体管的掺杂极性相反;其中,所述第一开关晶体管的栅极、所述第二开关晶体管的栅极以及所述第三开关晶体管的栅极分别与所述测试信号端相连;所述第一开关晶体管的源极和所述第三开关晶体管的源极分别与所述发光器件的输出端相连;所述第一开关晶体管的漏极和所述第二开关晶体管的源极分别与所述充 电模块的输出端相连;所述第二开关晶体管的漏极与所述驱动模块的控制端相连;所述第三开关晶体管的漏极与所述第二参考信号端相连。
- 如权利要求1-4之一所述的像素电路,其中,所述第一开关晶体管为N型晶体管,所述第二开关晶体管和所述第三开关晶体管为P型晶体管;或,所述第一开关晶体管为P型晶体管,所述第二开关晶体管和所述第三开关晶体管为N型晶体管。
- 如权利要求1-5任一项所述的像素电路,其中,所述充电模块包括:第四开关晶体管;所述第四开关晶体管的栅极与所述扫描信号端相连、源极与所述数据信号端相连、漏极与所述测试模块的第一输入端和第一输出端相连。
- 如权利要求1-5任一项所述的像素电路,其中,所述驱动模块包括:存储电容和第五开关晶体管;所述第五开关晶体管的源极与所述第一参考信号端相连、栅极与所述测试模块的第二输出端相连、漏极与所述发光器件的输入端相连;在所述第五开关晶体管为P型晶体管时,所述存储电容并联在所述第五开关晶体管的源极和栅极之间;在所述第五开关晶体管为N型晶体管时,所述存储电容并联在所述第五开关晶体管的漏极和栅极之间。
- 一种有机电致发光显示面板,其中,包括多个呈阵列排布的如权利要求1-7任一项所述的像素电路。
- 一种显示装置,其中,包括如权利要求8所述的有机电致发光显示面板。
- 如权利要求9所述的显示装置,其中,还包括:通过测试信号线与测试信号端相连的测试控制单元,以及通过数据线与数据信号端相连的补偿处理单元和驱动单元;所述测试控制单元用于向所述测试信号端提供在显示时间段和测试时间段之间切换的测试信号;所述补偿处理单元用于在测试时间段根据从所述数据信号端接收到的电流信号确定对各所述像素电路的补偿电压信号,并向所述驱动单元发送所述补 偿电压信号;所述驱动单元用于将所述补偿处理单元发送的补偿电压信号与从信号源接收的数据信号叠加后发送至所述数据信号端。
- 如权利要求10所述的显示装置,其中,所述补偿处理单元和所述驱动单元集成在同一芯片上。
