Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle air conditioner, and more particularly to a vehicle air conditioner including two compressors driven by an engine and an electric motor for compressing a refrigerant.
- an air conditioner for a vehicle uses an engine-driven compressor.
- the engine driven compressor stops during the idle stop. For this reason, air conditioning cannot be performed during idle stop.
- an electric motor driven compressor is arranged in parallel with the engine driven compressor in the refrigerant circuit, the engine driven compressor is used when the engine is operating, and the engine is stopped (at idle stop). Some use an electric motor driven compressor.
- the compressor has an oil separator function for separating oil from the refrigerant, so that the oil flowing out from the discharge side of the compressor to the refrigerant circuit is reduced.
- oil spillage into the refrigerant circuit is inevitable.
- the oil that flows out from the discharge side of the compressor to the refrigerant circuit circulates through the refrigerant circuit and returns to the suction side of the compressor.
- the oil cannot be pushed away by the refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit, so that the oil stays in the refrigerant circuit and the oil return to the compressor deteriorates.
- the motor-driven compressor is used only at the time of idling stop, high output is rarely required, and since it is used at a low refrigerant flow rate, the deterioration of oil return becomes remarkable.
- the motor-driven compressor has a problem that the oil in the compressor is gradually reduced, the lubrication is insufficient, and the durability is deteriorated.
- the motor-driven compressor is operated periodically for a predetermined time when the engine-driven compressor is operated.
- the flow rate is shared, the refrigerant flow rate returning to the motor-driven compressor cannot be increased, and improvement of oil return to the motor-driven compressor cannot be expected.
- the present invention has been made in view of such a situation, and an object thereof is to improve the oil return to the motor-driven compressor and improve the durability of the motor-driven compressor.
- the present invention provides a control device that controls the operation of an engine-driven compressor and an electric motor-driven compressor.
- the motor-driven compressor is held for a predetermined time while holding the engine-driven compressor in a stopped state. It is configured to operate and then to operate the engine driven compressor.
- the air conditioner In the summer season when air conditioning is required, when the engine is started, especially when the engine is started by manual operation such as key ON, the air conditioner is required to have a high output because the vehicle interior is hot. Accordingly, by temporarily operating the motor-driven compressor without operating the engine-driven compressor at this time, it is possible to give the motor-driven compressor an opportunity to operate at a high output. As a result, oil can be collected in the motor-driven compressor, oil in the motor-driven compressor can be secured, and deterioration in durability can be suppressed.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of a vehicle air conditioner shown as an embodiment of the present invention.
- the vehicle air conditioner according to the present embodiment uses an engine (internal combustion engine) 1 as a drive source, and has an idle stop function that automatically stops the engine 1 under a predetermined idle stop condition corresponding to a signal waiting or the like. Applies to vehicles.
- the HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) unit 2 is disposed in the vehicle interior of the vehicle, takes in the air in the vehicle interior (inside air) or air outside the vehicle interior (outside air), regulates the temperature, and blows it out into the vehicle interior.
- the HVAC unit 2 includes a blower 3 that takes in or out the inside air and blows it, an evaporator 4 that is a cooling heat exchanger disposed in a blower passage by the blower 3, and a blower passage downstream of the evaporator 4 (but can be bypassed)
- the heater core 5 that is a heat exchanger for heating disposed in the air heater and a blow-out port (not shown) that blows out the temperature-controlled air by heat exchange with the evaporator 4 or the heater core 5.
- As the outlet a differential outlet, a face outlet, and a foot outlet are provided.
- the refrigerant circuit 6 circulates the chlorofluorocarbon refrigerant.
- the outlet side piping of the capacitor 8 is connected to the evaporator 4 via the liquid receiver 9 and the expansion valve 10.
- the liquid receiver 9 temporarily stores the refrigerant and supplies only the liquid refrigerant.
- the liquid receiver 9 also contains a desiccant so as to be called RD (receiver dryer) and removes moisture mixed in the refrigerant.
- the expansion valve 10 is provided at the inlet of the evaporator 4 and depressurizes the refrigerant flowing into the evaporator 4.
- the expansion valve 10 also integrally includes a detection unit 10a that detects the outlet temperature and outlet pressure of the evaporator 4.
- the cooling circuit 6 further includes an electric motor driven compressor (hereinafter referred to as “electric compressor”) 11 arranged in parallel with the engine driven compressor 7.
- electric compressor electric motor driven compressor
- the engine drive compressor 7 is driven by the engine 1 through a pulley and a belt 12.
- the engine drive compressor 7 also has a clutch 13 interposed between a pulley driven by the engine 1 and a drive shaft of the compressor 7.
- the electric compressor 11 has a built-in electric motor (motor) and is driven by this motor. This motor is powered from the battery 14.
- the battery 14 is charged by an alternator 15 that is belt-driven by the engine 1.
- the engine coolant circuit 16 circulates coolant between the engine 1 (its water jacket) and the radiator 17.
- the heater core 5 is arranged in parallel with the radiator 17. Accordingly, in the HVAC unit 2, the heater core 5 can heat the air flowing through the engine cooling water (cooling water received by cooling the engine 1) as a heat medium.
- the refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit 6 is compressed by the engine-driven compressor 7 or the electric compressor 11, condensed by the condenser 8, expanded by the expansion valve 10, and supplied to the evaporator 4. After being evaporated, the flow returns to the compressor 7 or 11. Therefore, in the HVAC unit 2, the evaporator 4 takes heat of vaporization from the air flowing therethrough and cools the air. The air cooled by the evaporator 4 is blown out from an appropriate blow-out port, and is provided for cooling in the passenger compartment.
- the idle stop vehicle In an idle stop vehicle, the engine is automatically stopped under a predetermined idle stop condition corresponding to a signal wait or the like, and after the idle stop, the engine is used with a starter motor under a predetermined idle stop release condition corresponding to a start operation or the like. Is automatically started.
- the idle stop condition is, for example, when the following (1) to (3) are satisfied.
- Vehicle speed 0
- Shift position is non-traveling position (neutral position) or clutch is disengaged (clutch pedal switch ON)
- Brake pedal switch ON 0
- the idle stop cancellation condition is, for example, when any of the following (1) to (3) is satisfied.
- these conditions are examples, and other conditions It goes without saying that (or a combination) may be adopted.
- the engine driving compressor 7 is used to compress the refrigerant.
- the electric compressor 11 is used to compress the refrigerant.
- the electric compressor 11 is used only at the time of idling stop, high output is rarely required, and since it is used at a low refrigerant flow rate, the oil return to the electric compressor 11 is performed. Gets worse.
- the electric compressor 11 when the engine is started, particularly when the engine is started by manual operation such as key ON, the electric compressor 11 is operated for a predetermined time while the engine drive compressor 7 is held in a stopped state, and then the engine drive compressor 7 is operated. Is activated. This gives the electric compressor 11 an opportunity to operate at a high output so that the electric compressor 11 can collect oil.
- Such start-up control is executed by the control device 100 in FIG.
- the control device 100 is a control device for air conditioning, and naturally has a function of controlling the operation of the engine drive compressor 7 and the electric compressor 11.
- FIG. 2 is a flowchart of start-up control by the control device 100. This flow is started when the engine is started by manual operation such as key ON based on the driver's intention. Simultaneously with the start of this flow, the engine 1 is started and the alternator 15 is also turned on.
- various sensor values for air conditioning control are read. Specifically, the inside air temperature and humidity, the outside air temperature and humidity, the amount of solar radiation, the battery voltage, etc. are read.
- a control target value is calculated based on the air conditioning load detected by the various sensor values. Specifically, the target blowout temperature, the target blower air volume, etc. are calculated. Further, the target rotational speed Nec of the electric compressor 11 is also calculated.
- the target rotational speed Nec of the electric compressor 11 is compared with a predetermined rotational speed, and it is determined whether Nec ⁇ the predetermined rotational speed.
- the predetermined number of revolutions here is a threshold value for determining whether or not the electric compressor 11 is operated at a high output capable of returning oil.
- Nec the predetermined rotational speed
- the process proceeds to S4.
- the clutch 13 of the engine drive compressor 7 is disengaged, and the engine drive compressor 7 is held in a stopped state regardless of the operation of the engine 1.
- S5 the operation of the electric compressor 11 is started. Electric power is supplied to the electric compressor 11 from an engine-driven alternator 15 to suppress power consumption of the battery 14.
- the operation of the electric compressor 11 is continued and the “oil return operation” is performed.
- the “oil return operation” here is an operation at a rotational speed (Nec) corresponding to the air conditioning load.
- the air conditioning load is not a load under control aiming at energy saving, but a load based on high output control.
- the evaporator outlet temperature is set to 10 ° C., for example, and in the oil return control, the evaporator outlet temperature is set to 3 ° C., for example.
- the process proceeds from S7 to S8.
- the operation of the electric compressor 11 is stopped. And it progresses to S9, the clutch 13 of the engine drive compressor 7 is connected, and the driving
- the mode shifts to a battery charge priority mode in which the battery 14 is charged by the alternator 15.
- the process proceeds to S9 without performing S4 to S8, and the operation of the engine drive compressor 7 is started simultaneously with the start of the engine 1.
- the target rotational speed Nec of the electric compressor 11 at the start is less than the predetermined rotational speed, there is a possibility that the refrigerant flow rate is insufficient and the oil does not return sufficiently. For this reason, if the target rotational speed Nec of the electric compressor 11 is not equal to or higher than the predetermined rotational speed, the electric compressor 11 is not operated and the engine drive compressor 7 is operated.
- FIG. 3 is a flowchart of a compressor switching control routine in normal control.
- S11 it is determined whether or not idling is stopped. If the engine is not idling, that is, if the engine is operating, the process proceeds to S12. In S12, the electric compressor 11 is stopped and the engine drive compressor 7 is used (the clutch 13 is ON). If the engine is idling, that is, if the engine is stopped, the process proceeds to S13. In S13, the engine drive compressor 7 is stopped, so the electric compressor 11 is used.
- the engine drive compressor 7 and the electric compressor 11 are provided, and the engine drive compressor 7 is used when the engine is operated, and the electric compressor 11 is used when the engine is stopped. For this reason, it is possible to perform cooling by circulating the refrigerant even when the engine is stopped.
- the electric compressor 11 when the engine is started, the electric compressor 11 is operated for a predetermined time while the engine-driven compressor 7 is held in a stopped state, and then the engine-driven compressor 7 is operated. Thereby, it becomes possible to collect
- the electric compressor 11 when the electric compressor 11 is operated at the time of starting the engine, the electric compressor 11 is operated at the rotation speed (Nec) corresponding to the air conditioning load. As a result, the electric compressor 11 can be surely given an opportunity to operate at a high output.
- the engine-driven compressor 7 when the rotational speed (Nec) corresponding to the air conditioning load is less than a predetermined rotational speed, the engine-driven compressor 7 is operated without operating the electric compressor 11 when the engine is started. In this case, since there is a high possibility that the refrigerant flow rate is insufficient and the oil does not return sufficiently, wasteful consumption of battery power is suppressed.
- the electric compressor 11 in order to return the oil to the electric compressor 11, the electric compressor 11 is operated for a predetermined time when the engine is started by manual operation such as a key ON. Even when the engine is automatically started, the electric compressor 11 may be operated for a predetermined time.
- engine start by manual operation such as key-on includes engine start using various start buttons in a keyless system.
