Abstract

 本発明は、構造用鋼の摩擦撹拌接合に際し、被加工材の加熱不足による塑性流動不良を有利に解消して、十分な強度とともに、接合施工性の向上を図ることを目的とする。本発明では、構造用鋼の摩擦撹拌接合に際し、接合方向へ移動する回転ツール(1)の前方に設けた加熱手段(5)により、被加工材となる鋼板(3)を加熱する予熱処理プロセスを行い、当該予熱処理プロセスにおける加熱領域の表面温度や面積、位置などを厳密に制御する構成とした。
