本発明の一実施形態である包装体1Bの外観を図1に示す。この包装体1Bは、ポーション容器2(物品の一例)の全体を熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5(保護フィルムの一例)で包んだ中間包装体1A(図3を参照)の上面に更にタックラベル10を接着(連結の一例)したものである。

図3はポーション容器2を包装する際の途中段階で得られる中間包装体1A、すなわち、ポーション容器2を熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5によって包装した後の状態の外観を示しており、未だタックラベル10は接着されていない。
図5に示すように、タックラベル10は、タックラベル10の裏面に面状に設けられた接着部11によって、重複辺部5Lの大部分を覆うように中間包装体1Aの熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5に接着されるが、この接着部11は、タックラベル10を包装体1から除去する操作の比較的初期段階において、第2辺縁部5Bを第1辺縁部5Aから剥離させる剥離制御機構PMを備えている。
タックラベル10の第1領域RA側の軸心Xに沿った端部には、ポーション容器2の蓋体4から径方向外向きに長く延びた延長部10Eが設けられており、第2領域側にはこのような延長部は設けられていない。
ポーション容器2を熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5で包装して中間包装体1Aを作製する装置の一例を図7に示す。この包装装置40は、熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5のロール体5Rから引き出された熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5を表裏反転させて筒状に成形する成形部13と、筒状に成形された熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5に静電気を帯電させる帯電部17(静電シール手段)と、ポーション容器2を包囲した熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5をポーション容器2の後方の位置で溶断し、同時に溶着させる溶断溶着部18と、ポーション容器2を包囲した熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5を熱収縮させるシュリンクトンネル20とを有する。ポーション容器2は、その後端側が図7における手前側に向いた姿勢で、これらの各設備に沿って配置された搬送ベルト22A,22Bによって搬送される。
〈1〉図9に例示するように、熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5の重複辺部5Lは、第1領域RAから連接された第1辺縁部5Aがポーション容器2の後端側に向かって一回折り返されており、このように折り返された第1辺縁部5Aの上面に第2辺縁部5Bが重ね合わされた形態とされていてもよい。このような形態であっても、タックラベル10を包装体1Bから剥離すると、不均一連結力分布の作用によって、先ず、第2辺縁部5Bが第1辺縁部5Aから剥離されるため、熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5の破断を伴わない形で熱収縮性樹脂フィルム5の円滑な除去が進行する。尚、この形態の場合には、重複辺部5Lにも糊殺し面12を設け、重複辺部5Lを除く第2領域RBのみを全面的に通常の接着層を設けた第2接着部11Bとしておくと、タックラベル10の剥離に基づいて、第2辺縁部5Bが第1辺縁部5Aから剥離され易くなる。
