Description

同軸ケーブル、及びこれを用いたワイヤーハーネス
 本発明は、同軸ケーブル、及びこれを用いたワイヤーハーネスに関する。
 従来、内部導体の外周に絶縁体、フィルム、及び外部導体をこの順に設けると共に、外部導体の外周にシースを設けた同軸ケーブルが提案されている。また、同軸ケーブルにおいて外部導体には、銅線を網状に編んだもの(以下編組という)、銅線をスパイラル状に巻いたもの(以下横巻きという)、又は、銅やアルミ箔を巻いた上で箔上に編組や横巻きを設けた2層構造のものが提案されている(特許文献1,2参照)。

 ここで、特許文献1,2に記載の同軸ケーブルは積層される上記の層毎に切断され、切断後に端子圧着などの作業が行われる。しかし、特許文献1,2に記載の同軸ケーブルでは端末加工を行う際に、フィルムの切れ残り(電線の先端を皮むきした際に、皮むきが十分にされずにフィルム本体に残ったフィルムの一部)や切断されたフィルム(皮むきされてフィルム本体から切り離されたフィルムの一部)により、端子の接続不良や、同軸ケーブルを切断する切断機の根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性があった。
 すなわち、特許文献1,2に記載の同軸ケーブルにおいてフィルムの切れ残りがあった場合、その切れ残ったフィルムが外部導体上に位置した状態でアウター端子を接続することがある。このような場合、外部導体とアウター端子との間にフィルムが介在することとなり、接触抵抗が上昇して接続不良となってしまう。
 また、切断されたフィルムが内部導体上や外部導体上に位置した状態でインナー端子やアウター端子を接続した場合にも、上記と同様に接続不良となってしまう。
 さらに、切断されたフィルムは軽い絶縁物であるため、静電気により切断機に付着し易く、静電気により付着したフィルムが積み重なることにより根詰まりの原因となってしまう。
 本発明はこのような従来の課題を解決するためになされたものであり、その目的とするところは、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を低減することが可能な同軸ケーブル、及びこれを用いたワイヤーハーネスを提供することにある。
 本発明の同軸ケーブルは、内部導体と、前記内部導体の外周に設けられた絶縁体と、前記絶縁体の外周に設けられたフィルムと、前記フィルムの外周に設けられた外部導体と、前記外部導体の外周に設けられたシースとを備えた同軸ケーブルであって、前記フィルムは、少なくとも一部が前記絶縁体及び前記外部導体の双方と異なる色に着色されていることを特徴とする。
 また、前記フィルムは、フィルム基体及び識別層を有し、
 前記識別層は、前記絶縁体及び前記外部導体の双方と異なる色に着色されていてもよい。
 また、前記フィルムは、前記絶縁体及び前記外部導体の双方と異なる色に着色されているフィルム基体により構成されていてもよい。
 本発明の同軸ケーブルによれば、フィルムは、絶縁体及び外部導体の双方と色が異なる識別層を備え、又は、異なる色に着色されているため、端末加工時においてフィルムが剥ぎ取られたことを確認し易く、且つ、フィルムの切れ残りや切断されたフィルムを目視にて確認することもできる。これにより、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を低減することができる。
 また、本発明の同軸ケーブルにおいて、前記絶縁体と前記フィルムとの間に、前記絶縁体と前記フィルムとを接着させる粘着層をさらに備えることが好ましい。
 この同軸ケーブルによれば、絶縁体とフィルムとの間に、両者を接着させる粘着層を備えるため、フィルムは絶縁体から分離し難くなる。これにより、分離したフィルムが内部導体や外部導体に付着する可能性が低下され、接続不良が発生し難くなる。また、フィルムが絶縁体から分離し難くなることから、切断機にも付着し難くなり、切断機の詰まりの原因にもなり難くなる。従って、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を一層低減することができる。
 また、本発明のワイヤーハーネスは、上記に記載の同軸ケーブルを含む複数の電線を束にして集合部品としたことを特徴とする。
 本発明のワイヤーハーネスによれば、同軸ケーブルの端子接続時に接続不良が発生している状態でワイヤーハーネスが形成され、ワイヤーハーネスの導通検査において複数の電線から接続不良が発生している電線を見付け出す作業の頻度を低減することができる。
 本発明に係る同軸ケーブルによれば、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を低減することができる。また、本発明に係るワイヤーハーネスによれば、接続不良が発生している電線を見付け出す作業の頻度を低減することができる。

 以下、本発明の好適な実施形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図1は、本発明の実施形態に係るワイヤーハーネスの一例を示す斜視図である。図1に示すようにワイヤーハーネスWHは、複数の電線Wを束にして集合部品としたものであり、複数の電線Wの少なくとも1本が以下に詳細説明する同軸ケーブル1により構成されている。このようなワイヤーハーネスWHは、例えば図1に示すように電線Wの両端部にコネクタCを備えていてもよいし、複数の電線Wをまとめるためにテープ巻き(図示せず)されていてもよい。また、ワイヤーハーネスWHは、コルゲートチューブ等の外装部品(図示せず)を備えていてもよい。
 図2は、本発明の実施形態に係る同軸ケーブルを示す構成図であって、図2(a)は断面図であり、図2(b)は側面図である。図2(a)および図2(b)に示す同軸ケーブル1は、複数本の導体からなる内部導体10と、内部導体10の外周に設けられた絶縁体20と、絶縁体20の外周に設けられたフィルム30と、フィルム30の外周に設けられた外部導体40と、外部導体40の外周に設けられたシース50とを備えている。
 内部導体10は、例えば軟銅線、銀メッキ軟銅線、錫メッキ軟銅線、及び錫メッキ銅合金線などが用いられる。なお、本実施形態において内部導体10は複数本であるが、1本であってもよい。
 絶縁体20は、導体10上に被覆される部材であって、例えばPE(polyethylene)やPP(polypropylene)、又は発泡させたPEやPPが用いられる。この絶縁体20は、誘電率が3.0以下となっている。
 フィルム30は、絶縁体20の周囲に被覆される部材であって、シース50や周囲の部材に使用されるPVC(polyvinyl chloride)等に含まれる可塑剤が絶縁体20へ浸透し、同軸ケーブル1を伝搬する電磁波の減衰量が低下してしまうことを防止するために設けられている。
 このフィルム30には、例えばPET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)ポリウレタン(SP値10)又はナイロン(登録商標)(SP値13.6)などが用いられる。その理由として、フィルム30がない場合やフィルム30のSP値が可塑剤と近い値を示す場合、シース50に用いられる可塑剤又は周囲の部材に含まれている可塑剤が高温環境下で絶縁体20に浸透するからである。なお、一般的な可塑剤のSP値8.9に対して、絶縁体20に使用するPEのSP値は8.0であり、PPのSP値は7.9である。
 そして、可塑剤が絶縁体20に浸透すると、絶縁体20の誘電率を高めることとなり、減衰率の低下を招いてしまう。より具体的には、絶縁体20に可塑剤が移行してくることにより絶縁体20の誘電率及び誘電正接が増大する。その移行の度合いは絶縁体の場所によって異なるため、その結果インピーダンスが大きく乱れ、不整合が発生して減衰量が大きく低下する。また、減衰量の低下度合いは周波数が高い程大きくなる。
 そこで、本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1は絶縁体20とシース50との間にシート状のフィルム30を備えている。このようなフィルム30は、可塑剤が絶縁体20に浸透しないように、一般的に使用される可塑剤(DOP:フタル酸ビス、DINP:フタル酸ジイソノニル、TOTM:トリメリット酸)のSP値8.9に対して、SP値の差が1.8以上ある材質によって構成されている。
 外部導体40は、フィルム30の周囲に位置する部材であって、例えば軟銅線、合金線、銅被覆鋼線、銀メッキ軟銅線、錫メッキ軟銅線などを編組状に編んだものが用いられる。
 シース50は、外部導体40の外周に設けられる部材であって、絶縁体20と同様に例えばPE、PP及びPVCなどにより構成されている。
 図3は、比較例に係る同軸ケーブル100を端末処理する際の様子を示す第1の断面図である。同軸ケーブル100に端子を接続する場合、端末加工を行うこととなる。このとき、図3に示すような先端がV刃となる2枚の切断刃101が用いられ、同軸ケーブル100の上下から2枚の切断刃を差し込むようにして、内部導体10の外周側の部材20~50を取り除くようにしている。
 しかし、切断刃101がV刃である場合、図3において左右端に位置するフィルム30(図3において破線丸部)については、切れ残り(電線の先端を皮むきした際に、皮むきが十分にされずにフィルム本体に残ったフィルムの一部)が発生してしまう可能性がある。なお、この切れ残りの問題は、切断刃がV刃に限らず、R刃であっても同様に生じる可能性がある。
 図4は、比較例に係る同軸ケーブル100を端末処理する際の様子を示す第2の断面図である。外部導体40を切断する場合、図4に示すように、同軸ケーブル100の周囲に沿って回転する2枚の切断刃101により外部導体40を切断する方法も存在する。この方法の場合、外部導体40を確実に切断すべく、切断刃101の先端は僅かに絶縁体20まで到達するようにされているが、この場合であってもフィルム30の切れ残りが発生する可能性がある。
 そして、切れ残ったフィルム30が外部導体40上に位置した状態でアウター端子を接続することがある。このような場合、外部導体40とアウター端子との間にフィルム30が存在することとなり、接触抵抗が上昇して接続不良となってしまう。
 加えて、切断されたフィルム30(皮むきされてフィルム本体から切り離されたフィルムの一部)は、通常透明色等であることから、目視による確認が困難となっている。このため、切断されたフィルム30が内部導体10上や外部導体40上に位置することもあり、この状態でインナー端子やアウター端子を接続した場合にも、上記と同様に接続不良となってしまう。
 さらに、切断されたフィルム30は軽い絶縁物であるため、静電気により切断機に付着し易く、静電気により付着したフィルム30が積み重なることにより根詰まりの原因となってしまう。
 そこで、本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1は、図2に示すように、フィルム30は、フィルム基体31と識別層32との2層構造により構成されている。フィルム基体31は例えば透明色であり、識別層32は、絶縁体20及び外部導体40の双方と異なる色を有し、フィルム基体31の内側表面に塗布されている。このため、端末加工時においてフィルム30と絶縁体20とが共に剥ぎ取られたことを確認し易く、且つ、フィルム30の切れ残りや切断されたフィルム30を目視にて確認することもできる。これにより、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を低減することができる。なお、識別層32の色は、具体的に青、オレンジ、ピンク、赤、緑のいずれかであるが、青がより好ましい。
 さらに、本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1は、絶縁体20とフィルム30との間に両者を接着させる粘着層60が介在されている。このように粘着層60が介在することにより、フィルム30は絶縁体20から分離し難くなる。よって、フィルム30が内部導体10や外部導体40に付着し難くなり、接続不良が発生し難くなる。また、フィルム30が絶縁体20から分離し難くなることから、切断機にも付着し難くなり、切断機の詰まりの原因にもなり難くなる。
 ここで、粘着層60は、同軸ケーブル1のシース50を押出する際の余熱を利用して、絶縁体20とフィルム30とを接着することが効率的である。このため、粘着層60は、押出の余熱で溶着するホットメルト、例えばポリエステル系樹脂、及びエチレン酢酸ビニル系などが用いられる。
 次に、本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1の製造方法の一例について説明する。本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1を製造するにあたっては、まず、内部導体10の外周に押出機にて絶縁体20を被覆していく。ここで、内部導体10は、例えば7本の軟銅撚り線であり、1本の径が0.18mmであり、外径が0.54mmである。さらに、絶縁体20は、架橋発泡PEが用いられ、絶縁体20の被覆後における外径は1.6mmとなる。
 次に、識別層32が塗布され粘着層60を有したフィルム30(すなわち糊付フィルム)の粘着層60側を絶縁体20上に貼り付ける。この時点において外径は例えば1.7mmとなる。
 その後、フィルム30上に錫メッキ軟銅編組からなる外部導体40を取り付ける。このときの素線構成は、mm/持数/打数が0.10/5/16である。また、この時点において外径は約2.2mmである。
 次いで、外部導体40上に押出機にて耐熱性PVCからなるシース50を被覆していく。このとき、押出機による余熱によって粘着層60が溶解し、絶縁体20とフィルム30とが隙間なく密着される。なお、この時点において外径は3.0mmとなる。
 このようにして、本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1によれば、フィルム30は、絶縁体20及び外部導体40の双方と色が異なる識別層32を備え、又は、異なる色に着色されているため、端末加工時においてフィルム30が剥ぎ取られたことを確認し易く、且つ、フィルム30の切れ残りや切断されたフィルム30を目視にて確認することもできる。これにより、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を低減することができる。
 また、絶縁体20とフィルム30との間に、両者を接着させる粘着層60を備えるため、フィルム30は絶縁体から分離し難くなる。これにより、フィルム30が内部導体10や外部導体40に付着し難くなり、接続不良が発生し難くなる。また、フィルム30が絶縁体20から分離し難くなることから、切断機にも付着し難くなり、切断機の詰まりの原因にもなり難くなる。従って、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を一層低減することができる。
 以上、実施形態に基づき本発明を説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態に限られるものではなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で、変更を加えてもよい。
 例えば、本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1は、図2を参照して説明したものに限らず、種々の変更が可能である。例えば、内部導体10は軟銅撚り線でなくともよいし、シース50は耐熱性PVCでなくともよい。また、絶縁体20や外部導体40についても同様に種々の変更が可能である。
 さらに、本実施形態に係る同軸ケーブル1において粘着層60には、ホットメルトを用い、シース50の押出時において溶着させるようにしているが、これに限らず、単に糊等の接着剤により絶縁体20とフィルム30とを接着するようにしてもよい。
 さらに、本実施形態において識別層32は、フィルム30に塗布されることにより構成されているが、これに限らず、識別層32がシート状に構成されてフィルム30に貼り付けられてもよい。さらに、識別層32は、フィルム30の外側に設けられてもよい。
 加えて、本実施形態においては、識別層32を備えず、フィルム基体31に染料を練り込むなどして、フィルム30自体を絶縁体20及び外部導体40と異なる色に着色してもよい。これによっても識別層32を備える場合と同様の効果を得ることができるからである。
 ここで、上述した本発明に係る同軸ケーブル、及びこれを用いたワイヤーハーネスの実施形態の特徴をそれぞれ以下[1]~[5]に簡潔に纏めて列記する。
 [1] 内部導体(10)と、前記内部導体(10)の外周に設けられた絶縁体(20)と、前記絶縁体(20)の外周に設けられたフィルム(30)と、前記フィルム(30)の外周に設けられた外部導体(40)と、前記外部導体(40)の外周に設けられたシース(50)とを備えた同軸ケーブル(1)であって、
 前記フィルム(30)は、少なくとも一部が前記絶縁体(20)及び前記外部導体(40)の双方と異なる色に着色されている
 同軸ケーブル(1)。
 [2] 前記フィルム(30)は、フィルム基体(31)及び識別層(32)を有し、
 前記識別層(32)は、前記絶縁体(20)及び前記外部導体(40)の双方と異なる色に着色されている
 上記[1]に記載の同軸ケーブル(1)。
 [3]前記フィルム(30)は、前記絶縁体(20)及び前記外部導体(40)の双方と異なる色に着色されているフィルム基体(31)により構成される
 上記[1]に記載の同軸ケーブル(1)。
 [4] 前記絶縁体(20)と前記フィルム(30)との間に、前記絶縁体(20)と前記フィルム(30)と両者を接着させる粘着層(60)をさらに備える
 上記[1]から[3]のいずれかに記載の同軸ケーブル(1)。
 [5] 上記[1]から[3]のいずれかに記載の同軸ケーブルを含む複数の電線(W)を束にして集合部品としたワイヤーハーネス(WH)。
 本発明を詳細にまた特定の実施態様を参照して説明したが、本発明の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく様々な変更や修正を加えることができることは当業者にとって明らかである。
 本出願は、2013年4月26日出願の日本特許出願(特願2013-093856)に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。
 本発明によれば、端子接続時に接続不良が発生してしまう可能性、及び切断機における根詰まりが発生してしまう可能性の双方を低減することができるという効果を奏する。この効果を奏する本発明は、同軸ケーブルに関して有用である。

Claims (5)

  1.  内部導体と、前記内部導体の外周に設けられた絶縁体と、前記絶縁体の外周に設けられたフィルムと、前記フィルムの外周に設けられた外部導体と、前記外部導体の外周に設けられたシースとを備えた同軸ケーブルであって、
     前記フィルムは、少なくとも一部が前記絶縁体及び前記外部導体の双方と異なる色に着色されている
     同軸ケーブル。
  2.  前記フィルムは、フィルム基体及び識別層を有し、
     前記識別層は、前記絶縁体及び前記外部導体の双方と異なる色に着色されている
     請求項1に記載の同軸ケーブル。
  3.  前記フィルムは、前記絶縁体及び前記外部導体の双方と異なる色に着色されているフィルム基体により構成される
     請求項1に記載の同軸ケーブル。
  4.  前記絶縁体と前記フィルムとの間に、前記絶縁体と前記フィルムとを接着させる粘着層をさらに備える
     請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の同軸ケーブル。
  5.  請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の同軸ケーブルを含む複数の電線を束にして集合部品としたワイヤーハーネス。
