- building materials such as (window frame), keys, tools such as spanners and sockets, watches, golf clubs, etc.), woodworking products, industrial products (for example, semiconductor chips and electronic devices incorporating them), and the like.
- An information display that displays information about a part or product is information that represents information about the part or product in characters or graphics, such as a serial number, trademark, logo, manufacturer name, manufacturer name, brand, etc. Name, product name, product number, rod number, URL (Uniform Resource Locator), etc.
- the satin pattern formed on parts and products refers to both the case where a satin pattern is formed on parts and products for decoration purposes and the case where a satin pattern is intentionally formed to identify parts and products. Including.
- the satin pattern includes a surface of a casting, scratches, minute irregularities, a pattern of a pattern that are naturally or intentionally generated in the process of manufacturing and processing by cutting and pressing.
- the satin pattern is not only a satin pattern that has been applied to metal or synthetic resin (plastic, etc.), but also a wrinkle pattern that is obtained by surface treatment (for example, wrinkle processing) on leather products. ) Etc.
- minute irregularities are randomly formed on the surface of the leather of the bag, and these minute irregularities can be regarded as being similar to a satin pattern.
- the satin pattern may be formed on the skeleton portion of the information display body, or may be formed on the background area of the information display body.
- the grain size (for example, grain size, diameter, density, etc.) of the satin pattern may be of a level that does not affect the recognition of the information display body. It is sufficient that the grain size of the satin pattern is smaller than that of the information display body.
- the grain size (diameter) of each uneven portion (including the uneven portion of one aggregate formed by contacting each uneven portion) constituting the satin pattern is a skeleton portion of the information display body as shown in FIG. It is formed to be smaller than half of the edge width.
- the size of the uneven part of the satin is smaller than half the width of the edge of the information display body.
- the edge of the information display body is also removed when removing the satin. Therefore, it is possible to remove the satin pattern and leave the edge of the information display part by forming the grain size of the uneven part of the satin pattern smaller than the edge width of the skeleton part of the information display body to such an extent that the information display body can recognize it. Therefore, the image features of the information display body and the satin pattern can be easily separated.
- the grain size of the textured pattern is sufficiently smaller than the width of the character edge (for example, smaller than half the width of the character edge), and the information display body recognizes it. It is preferable that it is formed to the extent possible. Moreover, you may blast so that a density may generate

- a satin pattern image is obtained by taking a difference between the photographed image from which the high-frequency component has been removed (image of the information display body) and the original photographed image.
- the image feature is extracted after normalizing the satin pattern image using at least a part of the information display body as a reference part. If the features of characters and figures that serve as reference parts are stored, the satin image can be normalized using them as a reference. Normalization in the present embodiment includes normalization of geometric deformation including at least one of the size, position, orientation, and the like of the captured image, normalization of the luminance value of the captured image, and the like. Extraction of features from the normalized satin pattern image is, for example, a technique for extracting image features of fingerprints such as image luminance values, feature points, inflection points of lines of binarized images, intersection points, end points, and center points. May be used.
- FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram of a first embodiment of the present invention.
- the identification system includes an image feature storage unit 10 that stores image features of a satin pattern formed on a part, a product, or a product including the part as a component, a part, An information display body image and a satin pattern from a photographed image including at least an information display body that displays information about the product or a product having the part as a constituent element, and a satin pattern formed on the part or the product An extraction unit 11 that extracts an image of the image, an acquisition unit 12 that acquires information about a part or a product from the extracted image of the information display body, an image feature of the extracted satin pattern image, and an image feature storage unit And an identification unit 13 that collates the image features stored in 10 and identifies a part, a product, or a product having the part as a component.
- the information display body is a logo
- a bag having a logo plate with a satin pattern formed in a predetermined area including the logo as a component is identified.
- the extraction unit 11 acquires a photographed image of the verification area including the logo of the logo plate attached to the bag, and extracts a logo image and a satin pattern image from the photographed image.
- the collation area is a predetermined area including a logo, and a satin pattern is formed at least in part.
- Various methods such as etching and blasting can be used for the satin processing on the mold.
- the grain size of satin can be controlled, but the position and size of each fine unevenness are not accurately reproduced, and a random pattern is generated each time processing is performed. Therefore, when a plurality of molds for manufacturing the same article are created, the fine unevenness of the matte finish region of each mold is different for each casting mold.
- this processing method it is possible to apply a satin pattern that substantially matches all individuals produced from the same mold.
- the fine features of the satin pattern are different for different molds.
- at least one or more of the individual group (article group) made by a certain mold is selected, and the satin pattern image feature of the individual collation area is used as a representative value as a reference for identification.
- Register in the image feature storage unit 10. According to this method, a part or product having an image characteristic equal to or higher than a predetermined similarity with a registered image characteristic is identified as a part or product having a satin pattern formed by the mold.
- Other methods include satin treatment by processing that generates random fine uneven patterns for each individual such as etching, blasting, cutting, crystal / powder coating, dispersion plating treatment, etc., or generation of fine surface unevenness by plating treatment or painting It is.
- the formed satin pattern is different for each individual. Therefore, for each individual (for each part or product), the image feature of the satin pattern formed in the matching region is registered in the image feature storage unit 10. According to this method, since the satin pattern is different for each individual (for each part or product), there is an advantage that it is possible to collate (identify) for each individual part or product.
- the occurrence of individual differences in fine irregularities is promoted, and the distinguishability is further improved. be able to.
- the characteristic difference for each individual by processing is further added while the characteristic difference for each mold remains, and both the mold unit and the individual unit can be identified.
- it is possible to make the mold difference larger than the individual difference by making the size of the unevenness of the satin finish applied to the mold rougher than that of the subsequent satin finish.
- the threshold for the similarity of the feature quantity at the time of collation (at the time of identification) can be set to be looser than that at the time of identification for each individual at the time of identification for each mold, and collation can be performed with less registration data as described above. become. Furthermore, by taking advantage of this advantage, it is possible to perform hierarchical identification processing such as first reducing the number of data to be identified and collated on a die basis, and then identifying individual individuals, thereby reducing the burden of identification processing. It is also possible to reduce it.
- the predetermined area including the logo is the collation area
- the image features of the satin pattern formed in the collation area are extracted in advance and stored in the image feature storage unit 10.
- the matte processing using a mold select several logo plates that have been matted with the mold, and photograph the matte pattern in the matching area of the logo plate with a photographing device, or the matte part (parts etc.) of the mold
- the part to be processed with satin finish is photographed with a photographing device.
- a satin pattern in the collation area of each logo plate is photographed by the photographing device.
- Image features are extracted from the satin pattern obtained from these captured images and registered in the image feature storage unit 10. Note that image feature extraction from a captured image uses a technique for extracting fingerprint image features such as image brightness values, feature points, inflection points of lines of binarized images, intersection points, end points, and center points. it can.
- management information related to the bag having the logo plate as one of the constituent elements is also registered in association with the image feature of the logo plate. Therefore, if a logo plate can be identified, a bag can also be identified.
- the image feature is a satin pattern, but the image feature may differ depending on the lighting conditions at the time of photographing even if it is the same part or product. This is because the position of the shadow caused by the unevenness of the satin pattern differs depending on the direction of light irradiation, resulting in another image feature. Therefore, it is preferable that the collation area is always photographed under the same illumination conditions.
- a photographing auxiliary tool and a photographing device for photographing a collation area of a part or product.
- an example of the imaging assistance tool and imaging apparatus used in the present embodiment will be described.
- FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining a photographing auxiliary tool and a photographing apparatus used in the present embodiment.

Determined by ⁇ .
- the distribution of the black background and the diffusion surface is defined only by the range of the angle with respect to the normal direction of the matte surface, and the shape and angle of the surface are arbitrary.
- the surface of the diffusing member is perpendicular to the black ground, but this is only an example, and the shape and arrangement angle are arbitrary.
- the black ground does not have to be a flat surface, and may have an arbitrary shape as long as it covers the entire range of the angle ⁇ from the normal of the pear ground.
- the black background area of the cover 21 does not reflect the illumination light from the light source 20, the peak portion of the pear ground convex portion facing the camera mounted in the photographing hole on the upper surface appears black.
- FIG. 3 there is a relationship between the size of the black area of the cover 21 and the angle range ⁇ of the dark area, and the black area of the cover 21 increases as the angle range ⁇ of the black dark area increases.
- the angle range ⁇ becomes smaller, the black background area of the cover 21 becomes smaller.
- the black background area of the cover 21 becomes larger, the portion of the pear ground that appears black becomes larger, and when the black background area becomes smaller, the portion of the pear ground that appears black becomes smaller.
- the angle ranges ⁇ and ⁇ so that the number of black pixels in the collation area or the luminance value separation degree of the pixels in the collation area in the image obtained by photographing the pear ground has a predetermined value (for example, 25%).
- a predetermined value for example, 25%.
- Adjust. Specifically, the size of the black background region of the cover 21 may be changed, and the height of the side surface of the cover 21 may be changed.
- various methods can be used. As an example, a screw mechanism that moves up and down the black background area is provided, and the height of the side surface of the cover lid portion 21 can be adjusted by rotating the screw mechanism. This is merely an example, and other methods can be used.
- the brightness distribution of the captured image is optimized by adjusting the angle range ⁇ and ⁇ so that the black background area has an appropriate size.
- a luminance value that maximizes the first derivative of the luminance change histogram is used as the threshold for binarization.
- the top part of the pear ground convex part with the normal line in the direction facing the camera appears black, and the pear ground concave part that does not face the camera appears white as light is reflected from various directions. Can be obtained, and it becomes easy to stably extract the top portion as a feature point.
- the extraction unit 11 performs image processing for extracting a logo image feature and a satin pattern image from the captured image in the verification area.
- image processing first, a satin pattern is erased from the photographed image using a filter that removes high-frequency components, and a logo image is obtained. Then, a satin pattern image is acquired by obtaining a difference between the captured image and the acquired logo image.
- the information acquisition unit 12 uses the logo image extracted by the extraction unit 11 to acquire information about the logo plate and the bag on which the logo plate is mounted.
