 請求項2に係る発明は、請求項1において、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定する制動判定手段を備え、前記駆動制御手段は、前記制動判定手段により、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることが判定されると、前記予測されている液圧制動力の増大に先だって、前記出力ピストンを前記設定速度で前進させることである。
 請求項3に係る発明は、請求項2において、前記制動判定手段により、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることが判定されると、当該判定のタイミングから予測される液圧制動力の増大のタイミングまでの時間に応じた前記設定速度を設定する前進速度設定手段を備え、前記駆動制御手段は、前記前進速度設定手段により設定された設定速度で前記出力ピストンを前進させることである。
 請求項4に係る発明は、請求項2又は3において、前記回生制動力発生装置が前記回生制動力を発生している状態において、前記車両の車両速度が所定のすり替え開始速度以下になると、当該車両速度の低下に伴って前記回生制動力を前記液圧制動力にすり替える低速すり替えを行う車両用制動制御装置であって、前記制動判定手段は、前記車両の車両速度が前記すり替え開始速度よりも高い駆動開始速度まで低下すると、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき制動力の増大が予測されることを判定することである。
 請求項5に係る発明は、請求項4において、前記設定速度、前記車両の減速度、および前記すり替え開始速度に基づいて前記駆動開始速度を設定する駆動開始速度設定手段を備え、前記制動判定手段は、前記車両の車両速度が前記駆動開始速度設定手段により設定された駆動開始速度まで低下すると、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき制動力の増大が予測されることを判定することである。
 請求項6に係る発明は、請求項1から5の何れか一項において、前記ブレーキ操作部材に対する操作量が一定量に保たれている保持状態であることを判定する保持状態判定手段を備え、前記駆動制御手段は、前記保持状態判定手段により前記保持状態であることが判定されている場合に、前記出力ピストンの前進速度制御を実行することである。
 請求項1に記載の車両用の制動装置では、入力ピストンを停止させた状態で出力ピストンを前進させることによりブレーキ操作部材の操作によらず自動的に液圧制動力を発生させたり、出力ピストンを入力ピストンよりも速く前進させることによりブレーキ操作部材の操作量よりも大きな液圧制動力を発生させたりすることができる。上述の如く出力ピストンを入力ピストンに対して相対的に前進させると、前室の容積が減少し後室の容積が拡大して、前室内のブレーキ液がブレーキ液経路を介して後室内に流入する。
 ここで、出力ピストンの入力ピストンに対する相対的な前進速度が高くなるほどに、上記前室から後室内へのブレーキ液の流れに対するブレーキ液経路の流路抵抗が大きくなるため、入力ピストンひいてはブレーキ操作部材が前方に引き込まれてしまうことが考えられる。そこで、請求項1に記載の車両用制動制御装置では、出力ピストンを前方に駆動してマスタシリンダからホイルシリンダにブレーキ液を供給するに際し、出力ピストンの前進速度が、上記ブレーキ操作部材の引き込まれが抑制されるように設定された所定速度になるようにしている。これにより、上記ブレーキ操作部材の引き込まれが抑制されるため、ブレーキ操作部材の操作フィーリング向上を図ることができる。
 請求項2に記載の車両用制動制御装置では、ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることが判定されると、上記予測されている液圧制動力の増大に先だって、出力ピストンが設定速度で前進して、当該ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量から増大する。
 こうして、液圧制動力の増大に備えて、ブレーキ操作部材の引き込まれを抑制しつつマスタシリンダからホイルシリンダにブレーキ液を供給することにより、ブレーキ操作部材の操作フィーリング向上と液圧制動力の応答性向上との両立を図ることができる。すなわち、出力ピストンの前進速度が低いことによる液圧制動力の応答性の低下を抑制することができる。また、液圧制動力の増大が開始される時点でホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液量が増大しているため、液圧制動力の増大時の応答性を高めることができる。
 請求項3に記載の車両用制動制御装置では、ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることが判定されると、当該判定時から予測される液圧制動力の増大開始時までの時間に応じた設定速度を設定され、当該設定速度で出力ピストンが前進する。
 こうして、予測される液圧制動力の増大開始時におけるホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液量と設定速度とを調整することにより、ブレーキ操作部材の操作フィーリング向上と液圧制動力の応答性向上との両立を一層好適に図ることができる。
 請求項4に記載の車両用制動制御装置では、ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されていることが、車両速度に基づいて判定される。車両速度は車輪速度センサのセンサ値などを用いて演算可能であるため、装置の簡素化を図ることができる。
 請求項4に記載の車両用制動制御装置のように、駆動開始速度に基づいて、ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定する場合、当該判定時から予測されている液圧制動力の増大開始時までの時間は、設定速度および車両の減速度によって変化する。
 そこで、請求項5に記載の車両用制動制御装置では、設定速度、車両の減速度、およびすり替え開始速度に基づいて駆動開始速度を設定するようにしている。これにより、設定速度を低く維持しつつ、予測されている液圧制動力の増大開始時までにホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量を確実に増大させることができるため、ブレーキ操作部材の操作フィーリングを維持しつつ、液圧制動力の増大時の応答性を一層高めることができる。
 ブレーキ操作部材の操作量が一定量に保たれている状態でブレーキ操作部材が引き込まれた場合、ブレーキ操作部材の操作量が増減している状態でブレーキ操作部材が引き込まれた場合よりも、ブレーキ操作部材の操作フィーリングは悪化する。そこで、請求項6に記載の車両用制動制御装置では、ブレーキ操作部材の操作量が一定量に保たれている状態で、出力ピストンを設定速度で前進させるようにしている。これにより、ブレーキ操作部材の操作フィーリング向上を効果的に図ることができる。

 以下、本発明の実施の形態の車両用制動制御装置およびこの車両用制動制御装置で制御可能な車両用制動装置について図面に基づいて説明する。図1に示すように、車両用制動装置は、車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力を発生させる液圧制動力発生装置BFと、駆動輪、例えば左右前輪5FR,5FLに回生制動力を発生させる回生制動力発生装置BM等とを備えて構成される。車両用制動制御装置は、液圧制動力発生装置BFを制御するブレーキECU6と、回生制動力発生装置BMを制御するハイブリッドECU8等とを備えて構成される。
(液圧制動力発生装置BF)
 液圧制動力発生装置BFは、マスタシリンダ1と、反力発生装置2と、離間ロック弁22と、反力弁23と、サーボ圧発生装置4と、液圧制御部5と、各種センサ71~76等により構成されている。
(マスタシリンダ1)
 マスタシリンダ1は、ブレーキペダル10(「ブレーキ操作手段」に相当する)の操作量に応じて作動液を液圧制御部5に供給する部位であり、メインシリンダ11、カバーシリンダ12、入力ピストン13、第1マスタピストン14(「出力ピストン」に相当する)、および第2マスタピストン15(「出力ピストン」に相当する)等により構成されている。
 メインシリンダ11は、前方が閉塞されて後方に開口する有底略円筒状のハウジングである。メインシリンダ11の内周側の後方寄りに、内向きフランジ状に突出する内壁部111が設けられている。内壁部111の中央は、前後方向に貫通する貫通孔111aとされている。また、メインシリンダ11の内部の内壁部111よりも前方に、内径がわずかに小さくなっている小径部位112(後方)、113(前方)が設けられている。つまり、小径部位112、113は、メインシリンダ11の内周面から内向き環状に突出している。メインシリンダ11の内部には、小径部位112に摺接して軸方向に移動可能に第1マスタシリンダ14が配設されている。同様に、小径部位113に摺接して軸方向に移動可能に第2マスタシリンダ15が配設されている。
 カバーシリンダ12は、略円筒状のシリンダ部121、蛇腹筒状のブーツ122、およびカップ状の圧縮スプリング123で構成されている。シリンダ部121は、メインシリンダ11の後端側に配置され、メインシリンダ11の後側の開口に同軸的に嵌合されている。シリンダ部121の前方部位121aの内径は、内壁部111の貫通孔111aの内径よりも大とされている。また、シリンダ部121の後方部位121bの内径は、前方部位121aの内径よりも小とされている。
 防塵用のブーツ122は蛇腹筒状で前後方向に伸縮可能であり、その前側でシリンダ部121の後端側開口に接するように組み付けられている。ブーツ122の後方の中央には貫通孔122aが形成されている。圧縮スプリング123は、ブーツ122の周りに配置されるコイル状の付勢部材であり、その前側がメインシリンダ11の後端に当接し、後側はブーツ122の貫通孔122aに近接するように縮径されている。ブーツ122の後端および圧縮スプリング123の後端は、操作ロッド10aに結合されている。圧縮スプリング123は、操作ロッド10aを後方に付勢している。
 入力ピストン13は、ブレーキペダル10の操作に応じてカバーシリンダ12内を摺動するピストンである。入力ピストン13は、前方に底面を有し後方に開口を有する有底略円筒状のピストンである。入力ピストン13の底面を構成する底壁131は、入力ピストン13の他の部位よりも径が大きくなっている。入力ピストン13は、シリンダ部121の後方部位121bに軸方向に摺動可能かつ液密的に配置され、底壁131がシリンダ部121の前方部位121aの内周側に入り込んでいる。
 入力ピストン13の内部には、ブレーキペダル10に連動する操作ロッド10aが配設されている。操作ロッド10aの先端のピボット10bは、入力ピストン13を前側に押動できるようになっている。操作ロッド10aの後端は、入力ピストン13の後側の開口およびブーツ122の貫通孔122aを通って外部に突出し、ブレーキペダル10に接続されている。ブレーキペダル10が踏み込み操作されたときに、操作ロッド10aは、ブーツ122および圧縮スプリング123を軸方向に押動しながら前進する。操作ロッド10aの前進に伴い、入力ピストン13も連動して前進する。
 第1マスタピストン14は、メインシリンダ11の内壁部111に軸方向に摺動可能に配設されている。第1マスタピストン14は、前方側から順番に加圧筒部141、鍔部142、および突出部143が一体となって形成されている。加圧筒部141は、前方に開口を有する有底略円筒状に形成され、メインシリンダ11の内周面との間に間隙を有し、小径部位112に摺接している。加圧筒部141の内部空間には、第2マスタピストン15との間にコイルばね状の付勢部材144が配設されている。付勢部材144により、第1マスタピストン14は後方に付勢されている。
 鍔部142は、加圧筒部141よりも大径で、メインシリンダ11の内周面に摺接している。突出部143は、鍔部142よりも小径で、内壁部111の貫通孔111aに液密に摺動するように配置されている。突出部143の後端は、貫通孔111aを通り抜けてシリンダ部121の内部空間に突出し、シリンダ部121の内周面から離間している。突出部143の後端面は、入力ピストン13の底壁131から離間し、その離間距離dは変化し得るように構成されている。
 ここで、メインシリンダ11の内周面、第1マスタピストン14の加圧筒部141の前側、および第2マスタピストン15の後側により、第1加圧室1Dが区画されている。また、メインシリンダ11の内周面(内周部)と小径部位112と内壁部111前面、および第1マスタピストン14の外周面により、第1加圧室1Dよりも後方の後方室が区画されている。第1マスタピストン14の鍔部142の前端部および後端部は後方室を前後に区分しており、前側に反力室1C(「前室」に相当する)が区画され、後側にサーボ室1Aが区画されている。さらに、メインシリンダ11の内周部と内壁部111後面、シリンダ部121の前方部位121aの内周面(内周部)、第1マスタピストン14の突出部143(後端部)、および入力ピストン12の前端部により離間室1B(「後室」に相当する)が区画されている。
 第2マスタピストン15は、メインシリンダ11内の第1マスタピストン14の前方側に、小径部位113に摺接して軸方向に移動可能に配置されている。第2マスタピストン15は、前方に開口を有する筒状の加圧筒部151、および加圧筒部151の後側を閉塞する底壁152が一体となって形成されている。底壁152は、第1マスタピストン14との間に付勢部材144を支承している。加圧筒部151の内部空間には、メインシリンダ11の閉塞された内底面111dとの間に、コイルばね状の付勢部材153が配設されている。付勢部材153により、第2マスタピストン15は後方に付勢されている。メインシリンダ11の内周面と内底面111d、および第2マスタピストン15の加圧筒部151により、第2加圧室1Eが区画されている。
 マスタシリンダ1には、内部と外部を連通するポート11a~11iが形成されている。ポート11aは、メインシリンダ11のうち内壁部111よりも後方に形成されている。ポート11bは、ポート11aと軸方向の同様の位置に、ポート11aに対向して形成されている。ポート11aとポート11bは、メインシリンダ11内周面とシリンダ部121の外周面との間の環状空間を介して連通している。ポート11aおよびポート11bは、配管161に接続され、かつリザーバ171に接続されている。
 また、ポート11bは、シリンダ部121および入力ピストン13に形成された通路18により離間室1Bに連通している。通路18は入力ピストン13が前進すると遮断され、これによって離間室1Bとリザーバ171とが遮断される。
 ポート11cは、ポート11aよりも前方に形成され、離間室1Bと配管162とを連通させている。ポート11dは、ポート11cよりも前方に形成され、サーボ室1Aと配管163とを連通させている。ポート11eは、ポート11dよりも前方に形成され、反力室1Cと配管164とを連通させている。
 ポート11fは、小径部位112の両シール部材91、92の間に形成され、リザーバ172とメインシリンダ11の内部とを連通している。ポート11fは、第1マスタピストン14に形成された通路145を介して第1加圧室1Dに連通している。通路145は、第1マスタピストン14が前進するとポート11fと第1加圧室1Dが遮断される位置に形成されている。
 ポート11gは、ポート11fよりも前方に形成され、第1加圧室1Dと配管51とを連通させている。ポート11hは、小径部位113の両シール部材93、94の間に形成され、リザーバ173とメインシリンダ11の内部とを連通させている。ポート11gは、第2マスタピストン15に形成された通路154を介して第2加圧室1Eに連通している。通路154は、第2マスタピストン15が前進するとポート11gと第2加圧室1Eが遮断される位置に形成されている。ポート11iは、ポート11hよりも前方に形成され、第2加圧室1Eと配管52とを連通させている。
 また、マスタシリンダ1内には、適宜、Oリング等のシール部材(図面黒丸部分)が配置されている。シール部材91、92は、小径部位112に配置され、第1マスタピストン14の外周面に液密的に当接している。同様に、シール部材93、94は、小径部位113に配置され、第2マスタピストン15の外周面に液密的に当接している。また、入力ピストン13とシリンダ部121との間にもシール部材95、96が配置されている。
 ストロークセンサ71は、運転者によりブレーキペダル10が操作された操作量(ストローク量)を検出するセンサであり、検出信号をブレーキECU6に送信する。ブレーキスイッチ72は、運転者によるブレーキペダル10の操作の有無を2値信号で検出するスイッチであり、検出信号をブレーキECU6に送信する。
(反力発生装置2)
 反力発生装置2は、ブレーキペダル10が操作されたとき操作力に対抗する反力を発生する装置であり、ストロークシミュレータ21を主にして構成されている。ストロークシミュレータ21は、ブレーキペダル10の操作に応じて離間室1Bおよび反力室1Cに反力液圧を発生させる。ストロークシミュレータ21は、シリンダ211にピストン212が摺動可能に嵌合されて構成されている。ピストン212は圧縮スプリング213によって前方に付勢されており、ピストン212の前面側に反力液圧室214が形成される。反力液圧室214は、配管164およびポート11eを介して反力室1Cに接続され、さらに、反力液圧室214は、配管164を介して離間ロック弁22および反力弁23に接続されている。
(離間ロック弁22)
 離間ロック弁22は、非通電状態で閉じる構造の電磁弁であり、ブレーキECU6により開閉が制御される。離間ロック弁22は、配管164と配管162の間に接続されている。ここで、配管164はポート11eを介して反力室1Cに連通し、配管162はポート11cを介して離間室1Bに連通している。また、離間ロック弁22が開くと離間室1Bが開放状態になり、離間ロック弁22が閉じると離間室1Bが密閉状態になる。したがって、配管164および配管162は、離間室1Bと反力室1Cとを連通するように設けられている。
 離間ロック弁22は通電されていない非通電状態で閉じており、このとき離間室1Bと反力室1Cとが遮断される。これにより、離間室1Bが密閉状態になって作動液の行き場がなくなり、入力ピストン13と第1マスタピストン14とが一定の離間距離dを保って連動する。また、離間ロック弁22は通電された通電状態では開いており、このとき離間室1Bと反力室1Cとが連通される。これにより、第1マスタピストン14の進退に伴う離間室1Bおよび反力室1Cの容積変化が、作動液の移動により吸収される。
 圧力センサ73は、反力室1Cの反力液圧を検出するセンサであり、配管164に接続されている。圧力センサ73は、離間ロック弁22が閉状態の場合には反力室1Cの圧力を検出し、離間ロック弁22が開状態の場合には連通された離間室1Bの圧力をも検出することになる。圧力センサ73は、検出信号をブレーキECU6に送信する。
(反力弁23)
 反力弁23は、非通電状態で開く構造の電磁弁であり、ブレーキECU6により開閉が制御される。反力弁23は、配管164と配管161との間に接続されている。ここで、配管164はポート11eを介して反力室1Cに連通し、配管161はポート11aを介してリザーバ171に連通している。したがって、反力弁23は、反力室1Cとリザーバ171との間を非通電状態で連通して反力液圧を発生させず、通電状態で遮断して反力液圧を発生させる。
(サーボ液圧発生装置4)
 サーボ液圧発生装置4は、減圧弁41、増圧弁42、高圧供給部43、およびレギュレータ44等で構成されている。減圧弁41は、非通電状態で開く構造の電磁弁であり、ブレーキECU6により流量が制御される。減圧弁41の一方は配管411を介して配管161に接続され、減圧弁41の他方は配管413に接続されている。つまり、減圧弁41の一方は、配管411、161、およびポート11a、11bを介してリザーバ171に連通している。増圧弁42は、非通電状態で閉じる構造の電磁弁であり、ブレーキECU6により流量が制御されている。増圧弁42の一方は配管421に接続され、増圧弁42の他方は配管422に接続されている。
 高圧供給部43は、レギュレータ44に高圧の作動液を供給する部位である。高圧供給部43は、アキュムレータ431、液圧ポンプ432、モータ433、およびリザーバ434等で構成されている。
 アキュムレータ431は、高圧の作動液を蓄積するタンクである。アキュムレータ431は、配管431aによりレギュレータ44および液圧ポンプ432に接続されている。液圧ポンプ432は、モータ433によって駆動され、リザーバ434に貯留された作動液を、アキュムレータ431に圧送する。配管431aに設けられた圧力センサ75は、アキュムレータ431のアキュムレータ液圧を検出し、検出信号をブレーキECU6に送信する。アキュムレータ液圧は、アキュムレータ431に蓄積された作動液の蓄積量に相関する。
 アキュムレータ液圧が所定値以下に低下したことが圧力センサ75によって検出されると、ブレーキECU6からの指令に基づいてモータ433が駆動される。これにより、液圧ポンプ432は、アキュムレータ431に作動液を圧送して、アキュムレータ液圧を所定値以上に回復する。
 図2は、サーボ液圧発生装置4を構成するレギュレータ44の内部構造を示す部分断面説明図である。図示されるように、レギュレータ44は、シリンダ441、ボール弁442、付勢部443、弁座部444、制御ピストン445、およびサブピストン446等で構成されている。
 シリンダ441は、一方(図面右側)に底面をもつ略有底円筒状のシリンダケース441aと、シリンダケース441aの開口(図面左側)を塞ぐ蓋部材441bと、で構成されている。なお、図面上、蓋部材(441b)は断面コの字状に形成されているが、本実施形態では、蓋部材441bを円柱状とし、シリンダケース441aの開口を塞いでいる部位を蓋部材441bとして説明する。シリンダケース441aには、内部と外部を連通させる複数のポート4a~4hが形成されている。
 ポート4aは、配管431aに接続されている。ポート4bは、配管422に接続されている。ポート4cは、配管163に接続されている。ポート4dは、配管414を介して配管161に接続されている。ポート4eは、配管424に接続され、さらにリリーフバルブ423を経由して配管422に接続されている。ポート4fは、配管413に接続されている。ポート4gは、配管421に接続されている。ポート4hは、配管51から分岐した配管511に接続されている。
 ボール弁442は、ボール型の弁であり、シリンダ441内部のシリンダケース441aの底面側(以下、シリンダ底面側とも称する)に配置されている。付勢部443は、ボール弁442をシリンダケース441aの開口側(以下、シリンダ開口側とも称する)に付勢するバネ部材であって、シリンダケース441aの底面に設置されている。弁座部444は、シリンダケース441aの内周面に設けられた壁部材であり、シリンダ開口側とシリンダ底面側を区画している。弁座部444の中央には、区画したシリンダ開口側とシリンダ底面側を連通させる貫通路444aが形成されている。弁部材444は、付勢されたボール弁442が貫通路444aを塞ぐ形で、ボール弁442をシリンダ開口側から保持している。
 ボール弁442、付勢部443、弁座部444、およびシリンダ底面側のシリンダケース441aの内周面で区画された空間を第1室4Aとする。第1室4Aは、作動液で満たされており、ポート4aを介して配管431aに接続され、ポート4bを介して配管422に接続されている。
 制御ピストン445は、略円柱状の本体部445aと、本体部445aよりも径が小さい略円柱状の突出部445bとからなっている。本体部445aは、シリンダ441内において、弁座部444のシリンダ開口側に、同軸的且つ液密的に、軸方向に摺動可能に配置されている。本体部445aは、図示しない付勢部材によりシリンダ開口側に付勢されている。本体部445aのシリンダ軸方向略中央には、両端が本体部445a周面に開口した径方向(図面上下方向)に延びる通路445cが形成されている。通路445cの開口位置に対応したシリンダ441の一部の内周面は、ポート4dが形成されているとともに、凹状に窪んでいる。この窪んだ空間を第3室4Cとする。
 突出部445bは、本体部445aのシリンダ底面側端面の中央からシリンダ底面側に突出している。突出部445bの径は、弁座部444の貫通路444aよりも小さい。突出部445bは、貫通路444aと同軸上に配置されている。突出部445bの先端は、ボール弁442からシリンダ開口側に所定間隔離れている。突出部445bには、突出部445bのシリンダ底面側端面中央に開口したシリンダ軸方向に延びる通路445dが形成されている。通路445dは、本体部445a内にまで延伸し、通路445cに接続している。
 本体部445aのシリンダ底面側端面、突出部445bの外表面、シリンダ441の内周面、弁座部444、およびボール弁442によって区画された空間を第2室4Bとする。第2室4Bは、通路445c、445d、および第3室4Cを介してポート4d、4eに連通している。
 サブピストン446は、サブ本体部446aと、第1突出部446bと、第2突出部446cとからなっている。サブ本体部446aは、略円柱状に形成されている。サブ本体部446aは、シリンダ441内において、本体部445aのシリンダ開口側に、同軸的且つ液密的、軸方向に摺動可能に配置されている。
 第1突出部446bは、サブ本体部446aより小径の略円柱状であり、サブ本体部446aのシリンダ底面側の端面中央から突出している。第1突出部446bは、本体部445aのシリンダ開口側端面に当接している。第2突出部446cは、第1突出部446bと同形状であり、サブ本体部446aのシリンダ開口側の端面中央から突出している。第2突出部446cは、蓋部材441bと当接している。
 サブ本体部446aのシリンダ底面側の端面、第1突出部446bの外表面、制御ピストン445のシリンダ開口側の端面、およびシリンダ441の内周面で区画された空間を圧力制御室4Dとする。圧力制御室4Dは、ポート4fおよび配管413を介して減圧弁41に連通し、ポート4gおよび配管421を介して増圧弁42に連通している。
 一方、サブ本体部446aのシリンダ開口側の端面、第2突出部446cの外表面、蓋部材441b、およびシリンダ441の内周面で区画された空間を第4室4Eとする。第4室4Eは、ポート4hおよび配管511、51を介してポート11gに連通している。各室4A~4Eは、作動液で満たされている。圧力センサ74は、サーボ室1Aに供給されるサーボ液圧(駆動液圧)を検出するセンサであり、配管163に接続されている(図1示)。圧力センサ74は、検出信号をブレーキECU6に送信する。
(液圧制御部5)
 マスタシリンダ圧を発生する第1加圧室1D、第2加圧室1Eには、配管51、52、ABS(Antilock Brake System)53を介してホイルシリンダ541~544が連通されている。ホイルシリンダ541~544は、車輪5FR~5RLのブレーキ5を構成している。具体的には、第1加圧室1Dのポート11g及び第2加圧室1Eのポート11iには、それぞれ配管51、52を介して、公知のABS53が連結されている。ABS53には、車輪5FR~5RLを制動するブレーキ装置を作動させるホイルシリンダ541~544が連結されている。
(回生制動力発生装置BM)
 回生制動力発生装置BMは、両前輪5FR,5FLを連結する車軸に接続された例えば交流同期型のモータ91と、モータ91によって発電された交流電力を直流電力に変換してバッテリ93に充電し、バッテリ93の直流電流を交流電流に変換してモータ91へ供給するインバータ92等とを備えて構成される。
(ブレーキECU6)
 ブレーキECU6は、電子制御ユニットであり、マイクロコンピュータを有しており、マイクロコンピュータは、バスを介してそれぞれ接続された入出力インターフェース、CPU、RAM、ROM、不揮発性メモリー等の記憶部を備えている。
 ブレーキECU6は、各電磁弁22、23、41、42、及びモータ433等を制御するため、各種センサ71~76と接続されている。ブレーキECU6には、ストロークセンサ71から運転者によりブレーキペダル10の操作量(ストローク量)が入力され、ブレーキスイッチ72から運転者によるブレーキペダル10の操作の有無が入力され、圧力センサ73から反力室1Cの反力液圧又は離間室1Bの圧力が入力され、圧力センサ74からサーボ室1Aに供給されるサーボ液圧(駆動液圧)が入力され、圧力センサ75からアキュムレータ431のアキュムレータ液圧が入力され、車輪速度センサ76から各車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLの速度が入力される。
 また、ブレーキECU6は、ハイブリッドECU8に互いに通信可能に接続されており、要求制動力が、回生制動力発生装置9によって発生される目標回生制動力と液圧制動力発生装置7によって発生される目標液圧制動力との和と等しくなるように協調制御(回生協調制御)を行なう。ブレーキECU6は、「リニアモード」及び「レギュレータモード」の2つの制御モードを記憶している。
(ハイブリッドECU8)
 ハイブリッドECU8は、バッテリ93の充電状態を管理し、また、ブレーキECU6と協調して回生ブレーキ制御を実行する。すなわち、両前輪5FR,5FLの回転力でモータ91を駆動させることにより発電を行い、得られた電力によりバッテリ93を充電する。そして、この発電の際のモータ91の抵抗力により発生する回生制動力を求めてブレーキECU6に対して出力する。
(ブレーキECU6の作動モード)
 ブレーキECU6は、制御対象のマスタシリンダ装置100の作動モードとして、リニアモードおよびレギュレータモードを有している。リニアモードは、通常の車両走行状態に選択される液圧ブレーキ制御のモードである。リニアモードでは、ブレーキペダル10の操作量に相当する制動力を回生ブレーキ装置だけで発生できないときに、サーボ液圧発生装置4により第1および第2マスタピストン14、15が駆動され、不足分の制動力に相当する液圧制動力が発生する。一方、レギュレータモードは、異常発生時などに選択される液圧ブレーキ制御のモードである。レギュレータモードでは、離間室1Bが密閉状態とされ、運転者の操作力により各ピストン13、14、15が駆動されて液圧制動力が発生する。以下では、本発明が適用されるリニアモードについて詳述する。
 リニアモードにおいて、ブレーキECU6は、離間ロック弁22に通電して開弁し、反力弁23に通電して閉弁した状態とする。反力弁23が閉状態となることで反力室1Cとリザーバ171とが遮断され、離間ロック弁22が開状態となることで離間室1Bと反力室1Cとが連通する。ブレーキペダル10が踏み込み操作されていない状態では、サーボ液圧発生装置4のボール弁442が弁座部444の貫通路444aを塞いでいる状態となる。また、減圧弁41は開状態、増圧弁42は閉状態とされ、第1室4Aと第2室4Bは遮断されている。第2室4Bは、配管163を介してサーボ室1Aに連通し、互いに同圧力に保たれている。第2室4Bは、制御ピストン445の通路445c、445dを介して第3室4Cに連通し、さらに配管414、161を介してリザーバ171に連通している。圧力制御室4Dは、一方が増圧弁42で塞がれ、他方が減圧弁41を介してリザーバ171および第2室4Bに連通している。第4室4Eは、配管511、51を介して第1加圧室1Dに連通し、互いに同圧力に保たれる。当然ながら、サーボ室1Aにサーボ液圧は発生せず、第1加圧室1Dにマスタシリンダ液圧は発生しない。
 この状態から、ブレーキペダル10が踏み込み操作されると、入力ピストン13が前進し、通路18が分断されてリザーバ171と離間室1Bが遮断される。反力室1Cには、第1マスタピストン14の移動に応じて離間室1Bから突出部143により流入出される液量と同じ液量が流入出される。そして、ストロークシミュレータ21は、離間室1B及び反力室1Cに、ストローク量に応じた反力圧を発生させる。つまり、ストロークシミュレータ21は、入力ピストン13に連結しているブレーキペダル10に、入力ピストン13のストローク量(ブレーキペダル10の操作量)に応じた反力圧を付与する。
 なお、突出部143先端面の面積と、鍔部142が反力室1Cに臨む面の面積は、同一となっている。このため、反力弁23が閉状態、離間ロック弁22が開状態である場合には、離間室1Bと反力室1Cの内圧は同一であることから、離間室1Bの反力圧が突出部143先端面に作用する力と、反力室1Cの反力圧が反力室1Cに臨む面に作用する力が同一となり、運転者がブレーキペダル10を踏み込んで、離間室1B及び反力室1Cの内圧が高くなったとしても、第1マスタピストン14が移動しない。また、突出部143先端面の面積と、鍔部142が反力室1Cに臨む面の面積は、同一となっていることから、第1マスタピストン14が移動したとしても、ストロークシミュレータ21内に、流入するブレーキ液の液量が変化しないことから、離間室1Bの反力圧が変化せず、ブレーキペダル10に伝達される反力も変化しないようになっている。
 一方、ブレーキECU6およびハイブリッドECU8は、液圧制動力発生装置BFおよび回生制動力発生装置BMを制御して車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに目標制動力を付与する。本実施形態では、ブレーキECU6およびハイブリッドECU8は、回生制動力発生装置BMを優先的に使用する制御を行う。すなわち、ブレーキECU6は、回生量の目標値(目標回生量)を演算し、その目標回生量をハイブリッドECU8に出力する。ハイブリッドECU8は、目標回生量に対して実行する回生量(実行回生量)を演算し、その実行回生量をブレーキECU6に出力する。ブレーキECU6は、実行回生量に対応する回生制動力を目標制動力から減算して不足制動力を演算し、その不足制動力を発生させるように液圧制動力発生装置BFを制御する。
 サーボ圧発生装置4においては、増圧弁42が開くことでアキュムレータ431と圧力制御室4Dとが連通する。減圧弁41が閉じることで、圧力制御室4Dとリザーバ171とが遮断される。アキュムレータ431から供給される高圧の作動液により、圧力制御室4Dの液圧を上昇させることができる。圧力制御室4Dの液圧が上昇することで、制御ピストン445がシリンダ底面側に摺動する。これにより、制御ピストン445の突出部445bの先端がボール弁442に当接し、通路445dがボール弁442により塞がれる。そして、第2室4Bとリザーバ171とが遮断される。
 さらに、制御ピストン445がシリンダ底面側に摺動することで、突出部445bによりボール弁442がシリンダ底面側に押されて移動し、ボール弁442が弁座部444から離間する。これにより、第1室4Aと第2室4Bは、弁座部444の貫通路444aで連通する。第1室4Aには、アキュムレータ431から高圧の作動液が供給され、連通している第2室4Bの圧力も上昇する。
 第2室4Bの圧力上昇に伴って、連通するサーボ室1Aのサーボ液圧も上昇する。サーボ液圧の上昇により、第1マスタピストン14が前進し、第1加圧室1Dのマスタシリンダ液圧が上昇する。そして、第2マスタピストン15も前進し、第2加圧室1Eのマスタシリンダ液圧も上昇する。マスタシリンダ液圧の上昇により、高圧の作動液が配管51、52および液圧制御部5を経由してホイルシリンダ541~544へ供給され、車輪5FR~5RLに液圧制動力が付与される。
 また、第1加圧室1Dのマスタシリンダ液圧は、サーボ液圧発生装置4の第4室4Eにフィードバック供給される。第4室4Eの圧力は上昇し、圧力制御室4D内の液圧と均衡して、サブピストン446は移動しない。このようにして、アキュムレータ431の高圧からつくられたサーボ液圧に基づき、不足制動力に見合った液圧制動力を発生することができる。
 液圧制動力の発生を解除する場合には、反対に減圧弁41を開状態とし、増圧弁42を閉状態として、リザーバ171と圧力制御室4Dとを連通させる。これにより、制御ピストン445が後退し、サーボ液圧発生装置4はブレーキペダル10を踏み込む前の状態に戻る。
 ここで、上述の液圧制動力発生装置BFでは、ブレーキペダル10の踏み込みを保持した状態、すなわちマスタシリンダ1の入力ピストン13を停止させた状態で第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前進させ、もしくは第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を入力ピストン13よりも速く前進させると、反力室1Cの容積が減少し離間室1Bの容積が拡大し反力室1C内のブレーキ液が配管162,164を介して離間室1B内に流入する。そして、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の入力ピストン13に対する前進速度が高くなるほど、反力室1Cから離間室1B内へのブレーキ液の流れに対する配管162,164の流路抵抗が大きくなるため、ブレーキペダル10が前方に引き込まれてしまうことが考えられる。
 また、車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに発生させるべき液圧制動力が増大するとき、例えば回生制動から液圧制動への低速すり替えが行われるとき、低速すり替えの初期段階においてはホイルシリンダ541~544の消費液量が多いため、図5Aに示すように、マスタシリンダ1のサーボ室1A内のブレーキ液の液圧Pの増加に対するホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量Qの上昇幅は漸増傾向にある。すなわち、マスタシリンダ1のサーボ室1A内のブレーキ液の液圧Pを液圧Pb~Pa(Pb<Pa)にして、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量Qを消費液量Qb~Qa(Qb<Qa)にしないと、車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLには液圧制動力が発生しないか殆ど発生せず、図5Bに示すように、車両の減速度Gを高めることができない。このため液圧制動の応答が遅くなる。
 そこで、上述のブレーキECU6は、ブレーキペダル10の引き込まれを抑制してブレーキペダル10の操作フィーリングの向上を図るため、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前方に駆動してマスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544にブレーキ液を供給するに際し、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前進速度が、ブレーキペダル10の引き込まれが抑制されるように設定された所定速度(以下「設定速度」)になるように制御する。さらに、ブレーキECU6は、液圧制動力の応答性の向上を図るため、液圧制動力の増大に先だって、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を上記設定速度で前進させ、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量を増大させる。
(ブレーキECU6によるブレーキペダル10の引き込まれの抑制および液圧制動力の応答性の向上を図るための制御動作)
 次に、上述のブレーキECU6によるブレーキペダル10の引き込まれの抑制および液圧制動力の応答性の向上を図るための制御動作を図3のフローチャートを参照して説明する。図3では、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前方への駆動を開始する駆動開始速度Viが、回生制動力から液圧制動力への低速すり替え開始速度Vsよりも高い所定値に予め設定されていることを想定している。ステップS1、S2において、ブレーキECU6は、各センサ信号、例えばストロークセンサ71や車輪速度センサ76等から検出信号を取込むと共にハイブリッドECU8から実行回生制動力を取込み、回生協調中であるか否かを判断する。
 ステップS2において、回生協調中でない場合は処理を終了するが、回生協調中である場合は、ステップS3において、ブレーキペダル10に対する操作量が一定量に保たれている状態、すなわち運転者によるブレーキペダル10の踏み込みが保持された状態であるか否かを判断する(「保持状態判定手段」に相当する)。このステップS3の判断を行う理由は、ブレーキペダル10の操作量が一定量に保たれている状態でブレーキペダル10が引き込まれた場合、ブレーキペダル10の操作量が増減している状態でブレーキペダル10が引き込まれた場合よりも、ブレーキペダル10の操作フィーリングは悪化するためである。
 ステップS3において、ブレーキECU6は、運転者によりブレーキペダル10の踏み込み若しくは踏み戻しが行われている場合は、ステップS9に進む。一方、運転者によるブレーキペダル10の踏み込みが保持されている場合は、ステップS6に進む。
 ステップS6において、ブレーキECU6は、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量がそれらに対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、ホイルシリンダ541~544に対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定する。例えば、ブレーキECU6は、車輪速度センサ76の検出信号から求めた車両速度Vと予め設定されている駆動開始速度Viとを比較し、車両速度Vが駆動開始速度Viよりも高いときは処理を終了する。一方、車両速度Vが駆動開始速度Vi以下のときは、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量がそれらに対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、ホイルシリンダ541~544に対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定し(「制動判定手段」に相当する)、ステップS7に進む。
 ステップS7において、ブレーキECU6は、液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定した判定時から予測される液圧制動力の増大開始時までの時間に応じて、予測される液圧制動力の増大開始時までにホイルシリンダ541~544に供給すべき液量(例えばQa)が供給されるように、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前進速度を再度設定する(「前進速度設定手段」に相当する)。例えば、ブレーキECU6は、駆動開始速度Viからすり替え開始速度Vsを減算した値を減速度で除算して上記判定時から増大開始時までの時間を導出し、予測される減圧制動力の増大開始時までにホイルシリンダ541~544に供給すべきブレーキ液の液量を、導出した時間で除算して、単位時間当たりにマスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に供給すべき液量を導出し、導出した液量に対応する第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前進速度を設定速度とする。そして、ブレーキECU6は、ステップS8に進む。
 ステップS8において、ブレーキECU6は、ステップS7で設定した設定速度で第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前進させる。
 ステップS9において、ブレーキECU6は、車輪速度センサ76の検出信号から求めた車両速度Vがすり替え開始速度Vsまで減速したか否かを判断し、車両速度Vがすり替え開始速度Vsまで減速したときは、ステップS10において、マスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に供給するブレーキ液量を嵩上げし、処理を終了する。
 次に、ブレーキECU6の作動を図4のタイムチャートを参照して説明する。図4では、ブレーキペダル10の操作量が、時点t0から時点t2まで増加し、時点t2以降は所定量に保持されていることを想定している。時点t0において、プレーキペダル10が踏み込まれると(図4(b))、時点t1以降、車両速度VがVoから減速し始め、回生協調が開始される(図4(c)の時点t1~)。そして、時点t1から時点t2では、ブレーキペダル10の操作量増加に伴って液圧制動力が増加し、時点t2から時点t3では、車両速度Vの低下に伴って回生制動力が増加するため液圧制動力が減少する。
 時点t4において車両速度Vが駆動開始速度Viになると、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量がそれらに対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、液圧制動力の増大が予測されることが判定されるため、当該増大予測判定時点t4から液圧制動力の増大開始時点t6までの時間に応じて設定された設定速度で第1、第2マスタピストン14,15が前進して、マスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に液圧制動力による減速度が発生しないレベルでブレーキ液が徐徐に供給される(図3のステップS8)。これにより、ブレーキペダル10の引き込まれが抑制されるため、ブレーキペダル10の操作フィーリング向上を図ることができる。
 そして、マスタシリンダ1のサーボ室1A内のブレーキ液の液圧Pは、液圧制動力の増大予測判定時点t4から液圧制動力の増大開始時点t6よりも若干早い時点t5(液圧制動力の増大開始時点t6でサーボ室1A内の液圧PをPbに確実に昇圧させるため)まで徐徐に高められ、時点t5から液圧制動力の増大開始時点t6までは液圧Pbに保持される(図4(d))。これにより、液圧制動力の増大開始時点t6でホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液量QがQbに確実に増大しているため、液圧制動力の増大時の応答性を高めることができる(図5A,図5B参照)。なお、サーボ液圧Pbに達する時点を液圧制動力の増大開始時点t6となるように設定してもよい。
 そして、時点t6において車両速度がすり替え開始速度Vsになると、サーボ室1A内のブレーキ液の液圧PがPbからPaに増加され(図4(d))、ホイルシリンダ541~544に供給するブレーキ液量が嵩上げされる(図2のステップS9~S10)。これにより、液圧制動力の回生制動力に対する応答性能差を補填することができる。
(ブレーキECU6の制御による効果)
 上述したように、ブレーキECU6は、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量がそれらに対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、ホイルシリンダ541~544に対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定する。これにより、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前進させる設定速度を低く維持しつつ、予測されている液圧制動力の増大開始時までにホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量を確実に増大させることができるため、ブレーキペダル10の操作フィーリングを維持しつつ、液圧制動力の増大時の応答性を一層高めることができる。
 また、ブレーキECU6は、液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定した判定時から予測される液圧制動力の増大開始時までの時間に応じて、予測される液圧制動力の増大開始時までにホイルシリンダ541~544に供給すべき液量が供給されるように、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前進速度を再度設定する。このように、予測される液圧制動力の増大開始時におけるホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液量と第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の設定速度とを調整することにより、ブレーキペダル10の操作フィーリング向上と液圧制動力の応答性向上との両立を一層好適に図ることができる。
 また、ブレーキECU6は、設定した設定速度で第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前進させる。これにより、マスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に液圧制動力による減速度が発生しないレベルでブレーキ液を徐徐に供給する。このように、液圧制動力の増大に備えて、ブレーキペダル10の引き込まれを抑制しつつマスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544にブレーキ液を供給することにより、ブレーキペダル10の操作フィーリング向上と液圧制動力の応答性向上との両立を図ることができる。すなわち、液圧制動力の増大が要求されていない期間に第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を設定速度で前進させるため、ホイルシリンダ541~544内には所定の液量のブレーキ液が供給されるので、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の設定速度が低いことによるホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の供給不足は生じず、液圧制動力の応答性の低下を招くことはない。また、液圧制動力の増大が開始される時点でホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液量が増大しているため、液圧制動力の増大時の応答性を高めることができる。また、液圧制動力による減速度が発生しないレベルでブレーキ液を徐徐に供給するので、回生制動力を減ずる必要はなく、車両の燃費性能が損なわれることはない。
 また、ブレーキECU6は、車輪速度センサ76の検出信号から求めた車両速度Vがすり替え開始速度Vsまで減速したときは、マスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に供給するブレーキ液量を嵩上げする。このように、すり替え開始速度Vsに減速されたときにマスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に供給するブレーキ液量を嵩上げするので、液圧制動力の回生制動力に対する応答性能差を補填することができる。この場合、ホイルシリンダ541~544に予め入っているブレーキ液量または目標とする液圧制動力に応じてブレーキ液の供給量の嵩上げ量を変更することにより、液圧制動力の回生制動力に対する応答性能差を高精度に補填することができる。
 上述した実施形態においては、車両速度Vが駆動開始速度Viまで低下すると、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量がそれらに対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定して、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を設定速度で前進させるようにしたが、以下のような場合であっても同様に上述の制御を行うことにより同様の効果を奏する。すなわち、車両走行中、ブレーキペダル10に対する操作量が所定の操作量よりも小さく、かつ、オートマチックトランスミッションのシフトレバーをドライブレンジからニュートラルレンジにシフトした場合や、ブレーキペダル10に対する操作量が所定操作量よりも小さく、かつ、まもなく回生制動力発生装置BMが故障することが検知された場合等である。
 また、サーボ圧発生装置4のサーボ圧がサーボ室1Aに発生することにより、第1マスタピストン14及び第2マスタピストン15が前進するマスタシリンダ1を備えた車両用制動装置Bについて説明したが、サーボモータおよびボールねじ機構により第1マスタピストン及び第2マスタピストンが前進するマスタシリンダを備えた車両用制動装置に対して同様に適用することができる。
(第2実施形態)
 第2実施形態では、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量がそれらに対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、ホイルシリンダ541~544に対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されている場合に、予測されている液圧制動力の増大開始時までにマスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に供給すべき液量(例えばQa)が供給されるように、設定速度に応じた駆動開始速度Viを都度設定するようにしている。
 第2実施形態の構成は、第1実施形態の図3に対応する制御が図6で示される制御であることを除き第1実施形態と実質的に同一であるため、図6に示す制御を説明し、他の構成の説明を省略する。図6では、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前進速度が予め設定された一定値であることを想定している。
 ステップS5では、ブレーキECU6は、減速度およびすり替え開始速度Vsに基づいて駆動開始速度Viを設定する。例えば、ブレーキECU6は、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前進によりマスタシリンダ1からホイルシリンダ541~544に供給される単位時間当たりのブレーキ液の液量を、設定速度に基づいて演算する。そして、ブレーキECU6は、低速すり替えに先立ってホイルシリンダ541~544に供給しておくブレーキ液の液量(例えばQa)と上記単位時間当たりの供給量とに基づいて、上記液量Qaをホイルシリンダ541~544に供給するために要する供給時間を演算し、減速度と上記供給時間とに基づいて、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の前進開始から液量Qaの供給完了までに変化する車速ΔVを演算し、すり替え開始速度Vsに車速ΔVを加算して駆動開始速度Viを演算する。
 ステップS16では、ブレーキECU6は、車両速度VとステップS5で演算した駆動開始速度Viを比較し、車両速度Vが駆動開始速度Viよりも高い場合は処理を終了する。一方、車両速度Vが駆動開始速度Vi以下である場合は、ブレーキECU6はステップS18に進む。ステップS18では、ブレーキECU6は、予め設定された前進速度で第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前進させる。
(他の実施形態)
 上述した実施形態では、ステップS3においてブレーキペダル10に対する操作量が一定量であることが判定された場合に、ステップS5以降の処理を実行することにした。しかしながら、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の入力ピストン13に対する前進速度が高い場合に、ステップS4以降の処理を実行されるようにしてもよい。この場合、設定速度を入力ピストン13の前進速度に基づいて設定するとよい。入力ピストン13の前進速度は、例えばストローク量に基づいて演算可能である。
 上述した実施形態では、ホイルシリンダ541~544内のブレーキ液の液量がそれらに対応する車輪5FR,5FL,5RR,5RLに液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、液圧制動力の増大が予測される場合に、予測される液圧制動力の増大に先立って設定速度で第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前進させるようにした。しかしながら、このような条件が成立していない場合であっても、第1、第2マスタピストン14,15の入力ピストン13に対する前進速度が相対的に高くなるような場合に、設定速度で第1、第2マスタピストン14,15を前進させてもよい。
1:マスタシリンダ、1B:離間室、1C:反力室、4:サーボ圧発生装置、6:ブレーキECU、8:ハイブリッドECU、10:ブレーキペダル、13:入力ピストン、14:第1マスタピストン、15:第2マスタピストン、541~544:ホイルシリンダ、BF:液圧制動力発生装置、BM:回生制動力発生装置

Claims (6)

  1.  マスタシリンダからホイルシリンダにブレーキ液を供給して前記ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力を発生させる液圧制動力発生装置と、
     前記車輪に回生制動力を発生させる回生制動力発生装置と、を備え、
     前記マスタシリンダは、当該マスタシリンダ内を摺動する入力ピストンと、前記入力ピストンの前方に配置され当該マスタシリンダ内を摺動する出力ピストンとを有し、
     前記入力ピストンがブレーキ操作部材に連動するように、前記出力ピストンが前記ブレーキ操作部材の操作によらず駆動可能に、前記出力ピストンの前進により前記マスタシリンダから前記ホイルシリンダにブレーキ液が供給されるように構成され、
     前記マスタシリンダには、当該マスタシリンダの内周部と前記入力ピストンの前端部と前記出力ピストンの後端部とで後室が区画され、当該マスタシリンダの内周部と前記出力ピストンの前端部とで前記出力ピストンの前進によりその容積が縮小する前室が区画され、前記前室と前記後室とに接続されて前記出力ピストンの前進により前記前室内の前記ブレーキ液を前記後室内に流入させるブレーキ液経路が形成されている車両用の制動装置に適用され、
     前記液圧制動力発生装置および前記回生制動力発生装置を制御して前記車輪に目標とする制動力を付与する車両用制動制御装置であって、
     前記出力ピストンを前方に駆動して前記マスタシリンダから前記ホイルシリンダに前記ブレーキ液を供給するに際し、当該出力ピストンの前進速度を、当該出力ピストンの前進に起因する前記ブレーキ操作部材の引き込まれが抑制されるように設定された設定速度に制御する駆動制御手段を備える車両用制動制御装置。
  2.  前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることを判定する制動判定手段を備え、
     前記駆動制御手段は、前記制動判定手段により、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることが判定されると、前記予測されている液圧制動力の増大に先だって、前記出力ピストンを前記設定速度で前進させる請求項1の車両用制動制御装置。
  3.  前記制動判定手段により、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき液圧制動力の増大が予測されることが判定されると、当該判定のタイミングから予測される液圧制動力の増大のタイミングまでの時間に応じた前記設定速度を設定する前進速度設定手段を備え、
     前記駆動制御手段は、前記前進速度設定手段により設定された設定速度で前記出力ピストンを前進させる請求項2の車両用制動制御装置。
  4.  前記回生制動力発生装置が前記回生制動力を発生している状態において、前記車両の車両速度が所定のすり替え開始速度以下になると、当該車両速度の低下に伴って前記回生制動力を前記液圧制動力にすり替える低速すり替えを行う車両用制動制御装置であって、
     前記制動判定手段は、前記車両の車両速度が前記すり替え開始速度よりも高い駆動開始速度まで低下すると、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき制動力の増大が予測されることを判定する請求項2又は3の車両用制動制御装置。
  5.  前記設定速度、前記車両の減速度、および前記すり替え開始速度に基づいて前記駆動開始速度を設定する駆動開始速度設定手段を備え、
     前記制動判定手段は、前記車両の車両速度が前記駆動開始速度設定手段により設定された駆動開始速度まで低下すると、前記ホイルシリンダ内のブレーキ液の液量が当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に液圧制動力が発生しない又は殆ど発生しない液量であり、かつ、当該ホイルシリンダに対応する車輪に発生させるべき制動力の増大が予測されることを判定する請求項4の車両用制動制御装置。
  6.  前記ブレーキ操作部材に対する操作量が一定量に保たれている保持状態であることを判定する保持状態判定手段を備え、
     前記駆動制御手段は、前記保持状態判定手段により前記保持状態であることが判定されている場合に、前記出力ピストンの前進速度制御を実行する請求項1から5の何れか一項の車両用制動制御装置。
