図1は、この発明の一実施形態に係る車両診断システム10(以下「システム10」ともいう。)の概略的な構成を示すブロック図である。システム10は、診断対象としての車両12と、車両12外部から車両12の故障診断を行う外部診断装置14とを有する。なお、車両12は、自己診断を行うことが可能である。
(1-2-1.車両12の全体)
車両12は、エンジン16を備えるディーゼル車であり且つマニュアルトランスミッション車(MT車)である。後述するように、車両12は、ガソリン車(ハイブリッド車を含む。)又は電気自動車(燃料電池車を含む。)等の車両であってもよい。また、車両12は、MT車以外のもの{例えば、オートマチックトランスミッション車(AT車)}であってもよい。なお、本実施形態における車両12は、四輪車であるが、二輪車、三輪車又は六輪車等であってもよい。
エンジンECU20(アイドル停止制御部)は、エンジン16の出力を制御するものであり、本来のエンジン制御機能に加えて、各ECUがその制御対象の状態に応じてアイドリングの停止可否を個別に判断した結果を統合判断してエンジン16のアイドル停止(以下「IS」ともいう。)を制御する(詳細は後述する。)。エンジンECU20は、エンジン16に加え、オルタネータ40及びスタータモータ42を制御する。オルタネータ40は、エンジン16の駆動に伴って発電し、後述する12Vバッテリ86等に電力を供給する。スタータモータ42は、エンジン16の始動に際し、図示しないクランクシャフトを回転させてエンジン16の始動を補助する。
VSA ECU22は、車両挙動安定化(Vehicle Stability Assist)制御を実行するものであり、図示しないブレーキシステム等の制御を介してカーブ路の旋回時等における車両12の挙動を安定化させる。
ブレーキ負圧ECU26は、負圧センサ80が検出したブレーキ負圧Pnに基づいて図示しないブレーキの負圧を制御する。以下では、ブレーキ負圧Pnを正の値として用いる。
EPS ECU28は、操舵アシスト制御を実行するものであり、電動パワーステアリング装置の構成要素{電動モータ、トルクセンサ(いずれも図示せず)及び舵角センサ82等}の制御を介して運転者による操舵をアシストする。舵角センサ82は、ステアリングホイール84の舵角θstを検出する。
バッテリECU30は、12Vバッテリ86(以下「バッテリ86」又は「12V BAT86」ともいう。)の充放電等を制御する。12Vバッテリ86は、図示しない電力線を介して車両12の各電動部品(各ECU、各センサ、エアコンディショナ180等)に電力を供給する。
メータECU32は、インストルメントパネル90(図2)に設けられたメータ表示装置92を制御する。
エアコンECU34(図1)は、エアコンディショナ180を制御する。
SRS ECU36は、図示しないエアバッグシステムの制御を行う。SRS ECU36には、ボンネットセンサ182、シートベルトセンサ184及びドアセンサ186からの出力信号が入力される。ボンネットセンサ182は、ボンネット188の開閉状態を検出する。シートベルトセンサ184は、シートベルト190の着用状態を検出する。ドアセンサ186は、ドア192の開閉状態を検出する。
イモビライザECU38は、図示しないイモビライザ装置及びスマートキーシステムの制御を行う。
外部診断装置14は、車両12の各種診断(故障診断を含む。)を行うことができる。図1に示すように、外部診断装置14は、通信ケーブル200と、入出力部202と、操作部204、演算部206と、記憶部208と、表示部210とを有する。
(2-1.通常時の流れの概要)
図3は、車両12が停車時に自動的にアイドル停止をする際の通常処理の概要の一例を示すフローチャートである。まず信号機の点灯表示が赤信号になったことにより車両12が停止した状態で(ステップS1)、運転者は、クラッチペダル62を踏み込んだ後、シフト位置Psをニュートラル(「N」)にする(ステップS2)。その後、運転者は、クラッチペダル62を離す(ステップS3)。これに伴い、エンジン16は自動的にアイドル停止すると共に(ステップS4)、メータ表示装置92のIS表示灯112が緑色に点灯し、アイドル停止中であることを表示する(ステップS5)。
(2-2-1.全体的な流れ)
次に、図3のような流れの際にエンジンECU20が行う制御(アイドル停止制御)について説明する。
図5は、エンジンECU20がIS前提条件を判定するフローチャート(図4のS21の詳細)である。図6は、IS前提条件及びIS許可条件を判定する際においてエンジンECU20に入力される情報を説明するための図である。
図7は、エンジンECU20がIS許可条件を判定するフローチャート(図4のS22の詳細)である。ステップS41において、エンジンECU20は、ボンネット188が閉であるか否かを判定する。当該判定は、ボンネットセンサ182又はSRS ECU36からの出力を用いて行う。
(2-3-1.全体的な流れ)
次に、図3のような流れの際にエンジンECU20がメータECU32を介してメータ表示装置92の表示を切り替える制御(アイドル停止関連表示制御)について説明する。
(3-1.作業者による作業)
図11は、外部診断装置14を用いた車両12の故障診断時の作業を示すフローチャートである。図11のフローチャートは、IS表示灯112が赤色で点灯している旨の連絡、又はアイドリングストップが作動しないことが多いという連絡がユーザからあった場合における作業者の診断作業を示している。なお、上記のように、特定のECUに対応して点灯する警告灯(図2のPGM-FI警告灯120、充電警告灯122等)が点灯するような故障である場合(図8参照)、当該警告灯の点灯を契機としてECUを特定して故障原因の診断を進めることができる。
(3-2-1.IS表示灯112が赤色に点灯している場合)
図14は、IS表示灯112が赤色に点灯している場合において外部診断装置14により車両12各部の状況を確認するフローチャートである。上記のように、特定のECUに対応する警告灯(図2のPGM-FI警告灯120、充電警告灯122等)が点灯するような故障である場合、当該警告灯の点灯を契機としてECUを特定して故障原因の診断を進めることができる。換言すると、外部診断装置14は、当該警告灯が点灯された場合の診断処理(以下「特定警告灯表示時診断処理」という。)と、特定のECUに対応する警告灯が点灯しないにもかかわらず、アイドル停止しない場合の診断処理(以下「IS診断処理」という。)とを別々に実行する。図14に示すフローチャートは、IS診断処理のフローチャートである。
図15は、IS表示灯112が赤色に点灯していない場合において外部診断装置14により車両12各部の状況を確認するフローチャートである。
以上のように、本実施形態によれば、アイドル停止の不実行についての故障診断を行う際、複数のECU20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36から第2IS故障コードを抽出し、第1IS故障コードを抽出しない。このため、アイドル停止の不実行についての故障診断における点検項目を絞り込むことが可能になる。加えて、第2IS故障コードの送信のみを複数のECU20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36に要求する場合、ECU20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36と外部診断装置14との間の通信量を低減することが可能となる。従って、アイドル停止の不実行についての故障診断を簡易且つ迅速に行うことが可能となる。
なお、この発明は、上記実施形態に限らず、この明細書の記載内容に基づき、種々の構成を採り得ることはもちろんである。例えば、以下に示す構成を採ることができる。
上記実施形態では、外部診断装置14を車両12に用いたが、これに限らず、駆動源のアイドル停止を行うその他の装置(例えば、船舶、航空機等の移動体)に用いることもできる。また、ここにいう駆動源は、必ずしも車両12等の移動体を直接的に移動させるための駆動力を生成するものではなく、例えば、車両12においてモータでの発電を行うためのエンジンであってもよい。或いは、車両12等の移動体又は製造装置で用いる冷却用ポンプ、エアコンプレッサ等の駆動力生成装置であってもよい。
(2-1.構成)
上記実施形態では、車両12をMT車としたが、アイドル停止を行うものであれば、これに限らず、例えば、オートマチックトランスミッション車(AT車)であってもよい。
上記実施形態では、アイドル停止制御(図4)で用いる条件として、IS前提条件(図5)とIS許可条件(図7)とで分けたが、アイドル停止制御で用いる条件としては、必ずしも両者を分ける必要はない。すなわち、アイドル停止関連表示制御(図9及び図10)と異なり、アイドル停止制御では、アイドル停止を実行するか否かを判断することができれば十分であるから、IS前提条件とIS許可条件をまとめてアイドル停止(IS)条件として用いることも可能である。
上記実施形態では、IS表示灯112(アイドル停止異常表示部)の点灯色又は点滅色は、アイドル停止が実行されている場合等の緑色(図9のS63及び図10のS74)と、アイドル許可条件の一部が満たされていない場合の赤色(図10のS71)であった。しかしながら、アイドル停止が実行されている場合と、アイドル前提条件が満たされているにもかかわらずアイドル停止が実行されない場合と、アイドル前提条件が満たされない場合とを判断できれば、これに限らない。
(3-1.構成)
上記実施形態では、外部診断装置14は、例えば、市販のノート型パーソナルコンピュータ、タブレット型コンピュータ又はスマートフォンから構成し、単一のものとしたが、これに限らない。例えば、外部診断装置14は、本体としてのパーソナルコンピュータと、車両12とのインタフェースとしての子機(テスタ)とから構成してもよい。
図14のフローチャートにおいて、外部診断装置14は、第2IS故障コードを記録している可能性があるECU20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36に対して第2IS故障コードの送信のみを要求したが、第2IS故障コードが含まれる送信形態であれば、これに限らない。例えば、外部診断装置14は、ECU20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36に対して第1IS故障コード及び第2IS故障コードの送信を要求し、外部診断装置14側で第2IS故障コードを抽出することも可能である。或いは、外部診断装置14は、ECU20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36に対して全ての故障コード(第1IS故障コード、第2IS故障コード及び非IS故障コード)又は第2IS故障コード及び非IS故障コードの送信を要求し、外部診断装置14側で第2IS故障コードを抽出することも可能である。
上記実施形態では、外部診断装置14の診断結果を、外部診断装置14の表示部210に表示したが、車両12のナビゲーション装置(図示せず)用に用いるモニタ(図示せず)に表示してもよい。

- 車両(12)内の複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)と外部診断装置(14)との間で通信し、前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)それぞれに記録された故障コードを前記外部診断装置(14)で読み出して前記車両(12)の故障診断を行う車両診断システム(10)であって、
前記車両(12)は、
前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)のうち特定の電子制御装置に対応して設けられ、前記車両(12)内で異常が発生したことに伴い、当該異常の点検又は修理を要求する複数の警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)と、
所定条件が成立した時にアイドリングを自動的に停止するアイドル停止制御部(20)と
を備え、
前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)は、自己の制御対象範囲における故障を検出すると前記故障コードを記録し、
前記故障コードには、前記車両(12)の駆動源(16)のアイドル停止を不可とするように定義付けられたアイドル停止故障コードと、前記アイドル停止を不可とするように定義付けられていない非アイドル停止故障コードとが含まれ、
前記アイドル停止故障コードには、前記警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)を作動させるように定義付けられた第1アイドル停止故障コードと、前記警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)を作動させるように定義付けられていない第2アイドル停止故障コードとが含まれ、
前記外部診断装置(14)は、前記アイドル停止の不実行についての故障診断を行う際、前記第1アイドル停止故障コードと前記第2アイドル停止故障コードのうち前記第2アイドル停止故障コードのみを前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)から抽出する
ことを特徴とする車両診断システム(10)。 - 請求項1記載の車両診断システム(10)において、
前記外部診断装置(14)は、
前記第2アイドル停止故障コードを記録している可能性がある前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)それぞれに対して、記録されている前記第2アイドル停止故障コードを問い合わせ、
前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)それぞれからの回答結果を、前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)それぞれに対応させて前記外部診断装置(14)の表示部(210)に表示する
ことを特徴とする車両診断システム(10)。 - 請求項1又は2記載の車両診断システム(10)において、
前記外部診断装置(14)は、前記第2アイドル停止故障コードを記録している可能性がある前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)それぞれに対応させて前記第2アイドル停止故障コードが登録されたデータベースを備え、
さらに、前記外部診断装置(14)は、前記第2アイドル停止故障コードを記録している可能性がある前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)から前記第2アイドル停止故障コード及びそれ以外の故障コードを読み出し、読み出した各故障コードと、前記第2アイドル停止故障コードを記録している可能性がある前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)に対応させて前記データベースに登録されている故障コードとを比較して、前記第2アイドル停止故障コードを抽出する
ことを特徴とする車両診断システム(10)。 - 請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の車両診断システム(10)において、
前記車両(12)は、前記第2アイドル停止故障コードを記録する故障が前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)のいずれかに発生したとき、当該第2アイドル停止故障コードに対応する故障であるアイドル停止故障が発生したことを表示するアイドル停止異常表示部(112)を、前記複数の警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)とは別に備える
ことを特徴とする車両診断システム(10)。 - 車両(12)内の複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)と外部診断装置(14)との間で通信し、前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)それぞれに記録された故障コードを前記外部診断装置(14)で読み出して前記車両(12)の故障診断を行う車両診断方法であって、
前記車両(12)は、
前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)のうち特定の電子制御装置に対応して設けられ、前記車両(12)内で異常が発生したことに伴い、当該異常の点検又は修理を要求する複数の警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)と、
所定条件が成立した時にアイドリングを自動的に停止するアイドル停止制御部(20)と
を備え、
前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)は、自己の制御対象範囲における故障を検出すると前記故障コードを記録し、
前記故障コードには、前記車両(12)の駆動源(16)のアイドル停止を不可とするように定義付けられたアイドル停止故障コードと、前記アイドル停止を不可とするように定義付けられていない非アイドル停止故障コードとが含まれ、
前記アイドル停止故障コードには、前記警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)を作動させるように定義付けられた第1アイドル停止故障コードと、前記警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)を作動させるように定義付けられていない第2アイドル停止故障コードとが含まれ、
前記外部診断装置(14)は、前記アイドル停止の不実行についての故障診断を行う際、前記第1アイドル停止故障コードと前記第2アイドル停止故障コードのうち前記第2アイドル停止故障コードのみを前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)から抽出する
ことを特徴とする車両診断方法。 - 車両(12)内の複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)との間で通信し、前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)それぞれに記録された故障コードを読み出して前記車両(12)の故障診断を行う外部診断装置(14)であって、
前記故障コードは、前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)が自己の制御対象範囲における故障を検出すると記録されるものであり、
前記故障コードには、前記車両(12)の駆動源(16)のアイドル停止を不可とするように定義付けられたアイドル停止故障コードと、前記アイドル停止を不可とするように定義付けられていない非アイドル停止故障コードとが含まれ、
前記アイドル停止故障コードには、
前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)のうち特定の電子制御装置に対応して設けられ、前記車両(12)内で異常が発生したことに伴い、当該異常の点検又は修理を要求する前記車両(12)の警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)を作動させるように定義付けられた第1アイドル停止故障コードと、
前記警告灯(104、106、120、122、124、126、150、152、154、156、158、160、162)を作動させるように定義付けられていない第2アイドル停止故障コードと
が含まれ、
前記外部診断装置(14)は、前記アイドル停止の不実行についての故障診断を行う際、前記第1アイドル停止故障コードと前記第2アイドル停止故障コードのうち前記第2アイドル停止故障コードのみを前記複数の電子制御装置(20、22、24、26、28、30、32、34、36)から抽出する
ことを特徴とする外部診断装置(14)。
