Description
本発明は、電波を反射することで、おとり(デコイ)などとして機能するコーナーリフレクタに関する。
コーナーリフレクタについては、例えば、特許文献1に記載されている。特許文献1のコーナーリフレクタは、図1の構成を有する。コーナーリフレクタは、図1のように、互いに直交する3つの電波反射膜21を8組有する。これにより、コーナーリフレクタに対し、どの角度から電波が入射してきても、コーナーリフレクタによって、電波を入射してきた方向に反射することができる。
例えば、図2のように、電波Aと電波Bのいずれについても、互いに直交する電波反射膜21により、入射してきた方向に反射することができる。

コーナーリフレクタは、飛翔体、船、地上などから放出され、その後、空中や水上で図1の形状に展開する。そのために、コーナーリフレクタは、例えば、図1の例のように、バルーン23を有する。このバルーン23は、膨張すると球形となる。この膨張により、各電波反射膜21が図1のように展開するように電波反射膜21がバルーン23の内部に取り付けられている。なお、図1の例では、ボンベ25がバルーン23内にガスを供給することで、バルーンを球形に膨張させる。
上述のような構成により、例えば、空中で展開したコーナーリフレクタに、追尾用レーダ装置やミサイルのレーダシーカから電波が入射すると、コーナーリフレクタは、図2のように電波を入射してきた方向に反射することができる。これにより、コーナーリフレクタをレーダのおとりにすることができる。
なお、本願の他の先行技術文献として、下記2件の特許文献がある。
上記特許文献に記載されているようなコーナーリフレクタについて、長時間敵を欺瞞するために、空中に浮遊する時間を長くするための工夫が必要である。
この点に対して、図3Aのようにコーナーリフレクタをパラシュートに吊るして降下させる方法や図3Bのようにそれ自体を軽量化したコーナーリフレクタが用いられている。
図3Aは、発射台2を有した艦艇1が、飛翔体3を放出してから、パラシュート5及びコーナーリフレクタ4が展開されるまでの図である。
この図において、飛翔体3から、パラシュート5及びコーナーリフレクタ4が放出された後、適切なタイミングでコーナーリフレクタ4の展開が行われる。
この点に対して、図3Aのようにコーナーリフレクタをパラシュートに吊るして降下させる方法や図3Bのようにそれ自体を軽量化したコーナーリフレクタが用いられている。
図3Aは、発射台2を有した艦艇1が、飛翔体3を放出してから、パラシュート5及びコーナーリフレクタ4が展開されるまでの図である。
この図において、飛翔体3から、パラシュート5及びコーナーリフレクタ4が放出された後、適切なタイミングでコーナーリフレクタ4の展開が行われる。
図3Bは、それ自体を軽量化して空気抵抗を利用して降下速度の抑制を図ったコーナーリフレクタの図である。
この図において、図3Aの場合と同様に発射及び展開された後、コーナーリフレクタ6は、3次元的に展開を行うために、従来、元の形状に復元させる支持構造(軸7a、7b、7c)に電波反射膜8が張られている。かかる構成によって、展開を終えたコーナーリフレクタ6は、空気抵抗を利用することで降下速度の抑制を図り自由落下する構成になっている。
この図において、図3Aの場合と同様に発射及び展開された後、コーナーリフレクタ6は、3次元的に展開を行うために、従来、元の形状に復元させる支持構造(軸7a、7b、7c)に電波反射膜8が張られている。かかる構成によって、展開を終えたコーナーリフレクタ6は、空気抵抗を利用することで降下速度の抑制を図り自由落下する構成になっている。
しかし、パラシュートを用いる場合は、速度抑制が可能であるが、パラシュートの分の収容容積が大きくなってしまうという問題点があり、また、吊索が絡み合って適切に展開しないことも考えられる。
また、上記自由落下の場合は、電波反射面はフラットであるために十分な速度抑制は困難であるという問題点があった。

そこで、本発明の目的は、降下速度の抑制と構造簡易化を両立させたコーナーリフレクタを提供することにある。
上記目的を達成するため、本発明によると、互いに直交する3つの反射面を有する電波反射膜と、該電波反射膜を3次元的に展開させる展開装置とを備えたコーナーリフレクタであって、

そのため、コーナーリフレクタ11の展開に要する時間を短縮することができるというメリットがある。
なお、中空バルーン11bは、ポリオレフィン、ナイロン、ポリ塩化ビニルなどのプラスチックフィルムで形成されてよい。
また、好ましくは、中空バルーン11bの外周を拘束用繊維で包むことによって、中空バルーン11bが所定の限界体積以上に膨張することを抑制することが望ましい。
傘体12は、この例においては、展開時においては半球形状であり、中空バルーン11bの外壁に接続しており、中空バルーン11bの膨張に伴って展開される。
中空バルーン11bの形状が球状でない場合においては、傘体12は、中空バルーン11bの外壁に沿う形状からなるものであってもよい。

傘体12は、従来技術で使用されていたパラシュートと比較して吊索がないため、絡みによって展開しないといったリスクを排除することができる。
また、中空バルーン11bの膨張によって強制的かつ速やかに開傘することができる。
更に、傘体12には薄く軽量な布を用いることで、収容容積を抑制することができるというメリットがある。
なお、傘体12は、従来のパラシュートで用いられているナイロン等を材質にしている。

ガス供給装置13は、コーナーリフレクタ11が艦艇等から発射された飛翔体から放出されたことを契機に、中空バルーン11bにガスを注入して膨張させ、同時に傘体12も展開させる。
ガス供給装置13は、この例ではガスボンベであり、中空バルーン11bの膨張及び傘体12の展開時に、中空バルーン11b及び傘体12の重心から落下方向に下ろした垂線と中空バルーン11bの表面との交点付近を接続部14として、中空バルーン11bと接続している。
かかる位置において接続していることによって、ガスの注入後もガスボンベ13をコーナーリフレクタ11の姿勢安定用ウエイトとして機能させることができる。
また、ガスボンベ13のガスを分岐若しくは複数のガスボンベを用い、ホースなどによってバルーンの任意かつ複数の部位からガスを注入し、速やかなバルーン膨張を図っても良い。
なお、ガス供給装置13は、ガスボンベに限定されず、ガス発生剤によってガスを発生させ、そのガスで中空バルーン11bを膨張させる構成であってもよい。
かかる位置において接続していることによって、ガスの注入後もガスボンベ13をコーナーリフレクタ11の姿勢安定用ウエイトとして機能させることができる。
また、ガスボンベ13のガスを分岐若しくは複数のガスボンベを用い、ホースなどによってバルーンの任意かつ複数の部位からガスを注入し、速やかなバルーン膨張を図っても良い。
なお、ガス供給装置13は、ガスボンベに限定されず、ガス発生剤によってガスを発生させ、そのガスで中空バルーン11bを膨張させる構成であってもよい。
この例において、ガスボンベ13は、コーナーリフレクタ11が飛翔体から放出されたことを契機にガスを注入しているが、飛翔体から放出されてから一定時間経過後にガスの注入を開始する形、または、遠隔操作によってガスの注入を開始する形でもよい。
ガス供給装置(図示しない)は、例えば、火薬を用いたガスジェネレータやガスボンベなどであってよく、所定のタイミングで、中空バルーン11b内にガスが供給するように作動させられる。
本発明は上述した実施の形態に限定されず、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変更を加え得ることは勿論である。
本発明のコーナーリフレクタ11は、デコイとして用いる以外の用途にも使用してもよい。例えば、本発明のコーナーリフレクタ11を、特許文献2のように、遭難者の居場所を知らせるために使用してもよい。
また、本発明の傘体12については、中空バルーン以外のバルーン(例えば球状バルーン)についても使用することが可能である。なお、球体バルーンにおいては、電波反射膜8をバルーン内部において取り付けられる。
本発明のコーナーリフレクタ11は、デコイとして用いる以外の用途にも使用してもよい。例えば、本発明のコーナーリフレクタ11を、特許文献2のように、遭難者の居場所を知らせるために使用してもよい。
また、本発明の傘体12については、中空バルーン以外のバルーン(例えば球状バルーン)についても使用することが可能である。なお、球体バルーンにおいては、電波反射膜8をバルーン内部において取り付けられる。

Claims (4)
- 互いに直交する3つの反射面を有する電波反射膜と、該電波反射膜を3次元的に展開させる展開装置とを備えたコーナーリフレクタであって、
前記電波反射膜の展開と同時に展開する傘体を備え、
前記傘体は、前記電波反射膜の一部に覆い被さるように前記展開装置と接続している、ことを特徴とするコーナーリフレクタ。 - 前記展開装置は、展開時に膨張する中空バルーンであり、
該中空バルーンは、可撓性と気密性を有し、内部にガスが供給されるとガス圧で膨張して環状になる環状中空バルーンであり、
さらに前記中空バルーンにガスを注入するガス供給装置を備える、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーナーリフレクタ。 - 前記ガス供給装置は、前記中空バルーン及び前記傘体の重心から落下方向に下ろした垂線と前記中空バルーンの表面との交点付近において前記中空バルーンと接続され、
前記中空バルーンの膨張時には落下姿勢を安定させるためのウエイトとして機能する、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のコーナーリフレクタ。 - 前記展開装置は、形状記憶合金又はワイヤで構成し、折りたたみ状態を解除することにより、展開させる装置である、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコーナーリフレクタ。
