- the timing control unit 260 of the accumulator 200 determines the length on the conveyance route of the continuous web WB from the position of the splicing unit P1 to the cutting position P2 shown in FIG. 1 and the dimension L1 of the absorbent article PD. Based on the above, the storage amount of the continuous web WB is changed by adjusting the distance between the dancer rolls 230. That is, the accumulator 200 controls the length of the continuous web WB from the position of the splicing part P1 shown in FIG. 1 to the cutting position P2, and places the splicing part P1 at the central portion CT so as to position the continuous web WB. The amount of storage is calculated. Such a calculation can be performed based on the length (for example, 10 m), the dimension L1 (for example, 0.5 m) of the continuous web WB, and the number and distance of the dancer rolls 230.
- the production line 10 arranges the absorbers AB at predetermined intervals (dimension L1) on the continuous web WB being conveyed by the conveying device 110 (S30).
- positioning absorber AB is performed sequentially in parallel with the process of step S10 and S20 mentioned above.
- the production line 10 uses the product cutter 120 to cut the continuous web WB on which the absorber AB is arranged at predetermined intervals in the machine direction MD along which the continuous web WB is conveyed (S40).
- the production line 10 determines whether or not the absorbent article PD cut by the product cutter 120 includes the seam P1 (S50). When including the splicing part P1, the production line 10 uses the discharge device 130 to separate the absorbent article PD from the production line 10 and discharge the absorbent article PD in the middle of the production line 10 (S60). . On the other hand, when the seam P1 is not included, the production line 10 uses the transfer device 110 to transfer the absorbent article PD to the next process (S70).
- the discharge device 130 can discharge only the absorbent article PD including the seam P1.
- the splicing part P1 has the machine direction MD based on the length of the continuous web WB up to the cutting position P2 and the dimension L1 of the absorbent article PD.
- the supply timing of the continuous web WB is controlled so as to be positioned at the central portion CT of the absorbent article PD in the (conveying direction).
- the storage amount of the continuous web WB is controlled using the accumulator 200, and the supply of the continuous web WB is controlled so that the splicing part P1 is located at the central part CT.
- the joining portion P1 since it is avoided that the joining portion P1 is positioned across a plurality (two) of the absorbent articles PD, only the absorbent article PD including the joining portion P1 can be discharged.
- the joining part P1 when the joining part P1 is close to the end part in the machine direction MD (conveying direction) of the absorbent article PD, the joining part P1 straddles two absorbent articles PD or the joining part P1 is included.
- the absorbent article PD immediately before (or immediately after) the absorbent article PD may contain defects (excess wrinkles, bias, etc.) due to the inclusion of the seam P1, so multiple absorbent articles PD are discharged. This is unavoidable.
- the production line 10 it is possible to avoid discharging a plurality of non-defective absorbent articles PD by reliably discharging only the absorbent articles PD including the joint portion P1, and absorbing The yield rate of the property article PD can be improved.
- the supply timing of the continuous web WB is controlled by changing the supply speed of the continuous web WB by the accumulator 200, specifically, the plurality of dancer rolls 230 and the sensors 240. For this reason, it is possible to control the supply of the continuous web WB so that the splicing part P1 is located at the central portion CT while using the accumulator 200 necessary for continuing to supply the continuous web WB without stopping the production line 10. .
- the production speed of the absorbent article PD by the production line 10 changes, or the roll diameter and weight of the raw roll 210 and the raw roll 220 are different. Even if it is a case, supply of the continuous web WB can be controlled so that the joining part P1 is located in the center part CT.
- the plurality of dancer rolls 230 are configured to expand and contract the distance between the dancer rolls 230 in the horizontal direction. For this reason, even when the distance between the plurality of dancer rolls 230 is extended or reduced, the plurality of dancer rolls 230 are not easily affected by gravity, and the splicing part P1 is more reliably positioned at the center CT. Can do. Further, in order to accurately apply tension by the dancer roll 230, it is particularly suitable when load application control is performed by a servo motor or the like.
- the dancer roll 230 does not necessarily have to be used as a mechanism for positioning the splicing part P1 in the central part CT, and the storage amount of the continuous web WB is controlled using a device separate from the dancer roll 230. You may do it.
- the discharge device 130 using a guide bar and a suction type belt conveyor is an example, and the discharge device for discharging the absorbent article PD may be configured using only the guide bar, or the suction type belt conveyor You may comprise using only.
- the production line 10 shown in FIG. 1 is a simplified production process of the absorbent article PD.
- the production line 10 includes various other processes (for example, depending on the type of the absorbent article PD (for example, Of course, an elastic member arranging step) may be included.
