図1は、第1の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステムの構成を示すブロック図である。図1に示すように、バッテリシステム500は、複数のバッテリモジュール100、バッテリECU(Electronic Control Unit:電子制御ユニット)510、コンタクタ520、HV(High Voltage;高圧)コネクタ530およびサービスプラグ540を備える。本実施の形態では、バッテリシステム500は2個のバッテリモジュール100を含む。以下の説明において、2個のバッテリモジュール100をそれぞれバッテリモジュール100a,100bと呼ぶ。
図2は、バッテリモジュール100aの電圧検出部20、状態検出部30および均等化回路70の構成を示すブロック図である。
図1の各バッテリモジュール100a,100bの電圧検出部20、状態検出部30、演算処理装置40、通信ドライバ60および均等化回路70は、リジッドプリント回路基板(以下、プリント回路基板と呼ぶ。)に実装される。図3は、プリント回路基板の一構成例を示す模式的平面図である。図3に示すように、プリント回路基板110には、絶縁素子DIa,DIb,DIcおよびコネクタCNa,CNb,CNc,CNdがさらに実装される。また、プリント回路基板110は、第1の実装領域MT1、第2の実装領域MT2および帯状の絶縁領域INSを有する。
プリント回路基板110の他の構成例について、図3のプリント回路基板110と異なる点を説明する。図4は、プリント回路基板110の他の構成例を示す模式的平面図である。図4に示すように、演算処理装置40は、第2の実装領域MT2ではなく第1の実装領域MT1に実装される。
バッテリECU510は、電圧検出部20により検出された各バッテリセル10の端子電圧の値を演算処理装置40を介して取得する。ここで、バッテリECU510は、あるバッテリセル10の端子電圧の値が他のバッテリセル10の端子電圧の値よりも高いと判定した場合、そのバッテリセル10に対応する均等化回路70のスイッチング素子SWをオンにする指令信号を演算処理装置40に与える。それにより、そのバッテリセル10に充電された電荷が抵抗Rを通して放電される。
バッテリモジュール100a,100bに含まれるバッテリセル群BLのバッテリセル10の数が多い場合、または電圧検出部20もしくは状態検出部30の耐圧が小さい場合には、各バッテリモジュール100a,100bは、直列に接続された複数の電圧検出部20および複数の状態検出部30を含んでもよい。
以下、バッテリモジュール100aのバッテリセル群BL、電圧検出部20、状態検出部30、演算処理装置40および通信ドライバ60をそれぞれバッテリセル群BLa、電圧検出部20a、状態検出部30a、演算処理装置40aおよび通信ドライバ60aと呼ぶ。また、バッテリモジュール100bのバッテリセル群BL、電圧検出部20、状態検出部30、演算処理装置40および通信ドライバ60をそれぞれバッテリセル群BLb、電圧検出部20b、状態検出部30b、演算処理装置40bおよび通信ドライバ60bと呼ぶ。
(1)バッテリシステムの構成
第2の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500について、第1の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500と異なる点を説明する。図6は、第2の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500の構成を示すブロック図である。
バッテリモジュール100aにおいて、状態検出部30aにより発生された検出信号DT1は、接続線Q1を通して対応する演算処理装置40aに与えられるとともに、信号線P1を通してバッテリモジュール100bの演算処理装置40bに与えられる。バッテリモジュール100bにおいて、状態検出部30bにより発生された検出信号DT2は、接続線Q2を通して対応する演算処理装置40bに与えられるとともに、信号線P2を通してバッテリECU510に与えられる。
(1)バッテリシステムの構成
第3の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500について、第1の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500と異なる点を説明する。図7は、第3の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500の構成を示すブロック図である。
バッテリモジュール100aにおいて、状態検出部30aにより発生された検出信号DT1は、接続線Q1を通して対応する演算処理装置40aに与えられるとともに、信号線P1を通してバッテリモジュール100bの状態検出部30bに与えられる。
(1)バッテリシステムの構成
第4の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500について、第3の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500と異なる点を説明する。図8は、第4の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500の構成を示すブロック図である。
バッテリモジュール100aにおいて、状態検出部30aにより発生された検出信号DT1は、接続線Q1を通して対応する演算処理装置40aに与えられるとともに、信号線P1を通してバッテリモジュール100bの状態検出部30bに与えられる。また、状態検出部30aにより発生された検出信号DT1は、信号線P3を通してバッテリモジュール100bの演算処理装置40bに与えられる。バッテリモジュール100bにおいて、状態検出部30bにより発生された検出信号DT2は、接続線Q2を通して対応する演算処理装置40bに与えられるとともに、信号線P2を通してバッテリECU510に与えられる。すなわち、バッテリモジュール100aのバッテリセル群BLaの端子電圧が異常である場合、異常を示す検出信号DT1が検出信号DT2としてバッテリモジュール100bの状態検出部30bからバッテリモジュール100bの演算処理装置40bおよびバッテリECU510に与えられる。
バッテリモジュール100の構造について説明する。図9は、バッテリモジュール100の一例を示す外観斜視図である。なお、図9においては、矢印X,Y,Zで示すように、互いに直交する三方向をX方向、Y方向およびZ方向と定義する。なお、本例では、X方向およびY方向が水平面に平行な方向であり、Z方向が水平面に直交する方向である。また、上方向は矢印Zが向く方向である。
(1)構成および動作
電動車両について説明する。電動車両は上記の実施の形態に係るバッテリシステム500を備える。なお、以下では、電動車両の一例として電動自動車を説明する。
バッテリシステム500からの電力によりモータ602が駆動される。そのモータ602の回転力によって駆動輪603が回転することにより、電動車両である電動自動車600が移動する。
上記では、図1のバッテリシステム500が電動車両に搭載される例について説明したが、バッテリシステム500が船、航空機、エレベータまたは歩行ロボット等の他の移動体に搭載されてもよい。
(1)構成および動作
電源装置について説明する。図11は、電源装置の構成を示すブロック図である。図11に示すように、電源装置700は、電力貯蔵装置710および電力変換装置720を備える。電力貯蔵装置710は、バッテリシステム群711およびコントローラ712を備える。バッテリシステム群711は複数のバッテリシステム500を含む。複数のバッテリシステム500は互いに並列に接続されてもよく、または互いに直列に接続されてもよい。
電力貯蔵装置710においては、システム制御部であるコントローラ712により、上記のバッテリシステム500のバッテリモジュール100a,100bの充電または放電に関する制御が行われる。それにより、バッテリモジュール100a,100bの劣化、過放電および過充電を防止することができる。
(1)上記実施の形態において、状態検出部30は、異常検出時に例えば“H”レベルの検出信号を発生し、正常検出時に例えば“L”レベルの検出信号を発生するがこれに限定されない。状態検出部30は、以下の検出信号を発生してもよい。
以下、請求項の各構成要素と実施の形態の各部との対応の例について説明するが、本発明は下記の例に限定されない。
Claims (12)
- 第1のバッテリモジュールと、
第2のバッテリモジュールと、
第1の通信経路とを備え、
前記第1のバッテリモジュールは、
1または複数のバッテリセルを含む第1のバッテリセル群と、
前記第1のバッテリセル群の充放電に関する異常状態または正常状態を検出し、検出された状態を示す第1の検出信号を発生する第1の状態検出部と、
前記第1の状態検出部により発生される第1の検出信号を外部に送信する第1の通信回路とを含み、
前記第2のバッテリモジュールは、
1または複数のバッテリセルを含む第2のバッテリセル群と、
前記第2のバッテリセル群の充放電に関する異常状態または正常状態を検出し、検出された状態を示す第2の検出信号を発生する第2の状態検出部と、
前記第2の状態検出部により発生される第2の検出信号を外部に送信する第2の通信回路とを含み、
前記第1の通信経路は、前記第1の状態検出部により発生される前記第1の検出信号を前記第2の通信回路および前記第2の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達するように設けられる、バッテリシステム。 - 前記第1の通信経路は、前記第1の状態検出部により発生される第1の検出信号を前記第1の通信回路を通して前記第2の通信回路および前記第2の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達する、請求項1記載のバッテリシステム。
- 前記第1の通信経路は、
前記第1の状態検出部により発生される第1の検出信号を前記第1の通信回路に伝達する第2の通信経路と、
前記第1の状態検出部により発生される第1の検出信号を前記第2の状態検出部に伝達する第3の通信経路とを含む、請求項1または2記載のバッテリシステム。 - 前記第2の状態検出部により発生される前記第2の検出信号を前記第1の通信回路および前記第1の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達する第4の通信経路をさらに備える、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリシステム。
- 前記第4の通信経路は、前記第2の状態検出部により発生される前記第2の検出信号を前記第2の通信回路を通して前記第1の通信回路および前記第1の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達する、請求項4記載のバッテリシステム。
- 前記第4の通信経路は、
前記第2の状態検出部により発生される第2の検出信号を前記第2の通信回路に伝達する第5の通信経路と、
前記第2の状態検出部により発生される第2の検出信号を前記第1の状態検出部に伝達する第6の通信経路とを含む、請求項4または5記載のバッテリシステム。 - 前記第2の状態検出部により発生される第2の検出信号を前記第1および第2の通信回路を経由せずに外部に伝達する第7の通信経路をさらに備える、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリシステム。
- 1番目からN番目までのN個(Nは1以上の自然数)の第3のバッテリモジュールと、
第8の通信経路と、
1番目からN番目までのN個の第9の通信経路とをさらに備え、
前記N個の第3のバッテリモジュールの各々は、
1または複数のバッテリセルを含む第3のバッテリセル群と、
前記第3のバッテリセル群の充放電に関する異常状態または正常状態を検出し、検出された状態を示す第3の検出信号を発生する第3の状態検出部と、
前記第3の状態検出部により発生される第3の検出信号を外部に送信する第3の通信回路とを含み、
前記第8の通信経路は、前記第2のバッテリモジュールの前記第2の状態検出部により発生される前記第2の検出信号を1番目の第3のバッテリモジュールの前記第3の通信回路および前記第3の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達するように設けられ、
Nが1である場合、
1番目の第9の通信経路は、前記1番目の第3のバッテリモジュールの前記第3の状態検出部により発生される前記第3の検出信号を前記第1のバッテリモジュールの前記第1の通信回路および前記第1の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達するように設けられ、
Nが2以上である場合、
i番目(iは1から(N-1)の自然数)の第9の通信経路は、i番目の第3のバッテリモジュールの前記第3の状態検出部により発生される前記第3の検出信号を(i+1)番目の第3のバッテリモジュールの前記第3の通信回路および前記第3の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達するように設けられ、
N番目の第9の通信経路は、N番目の第3のバッテリモジュールの前記第3の状態検出部により発生される前記第3の検出信号を前記第1のバッテリモジュールの前記第1の通信回路および前記第1の状態検出部の少なくとも一方に伝達するように設けられる、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリシステム。 - 請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリシステムと、
前記バッテリシステムの電力により駆動されるモータと、
前記モータの回転力により回転する駆動輪とを備える、電動車両。 - 請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリシステムと、
移動本体部と、
前記バッテリシステムからの電力を前記移動本体部を移動させるための動力に変換する動力源とを備える、移動体。 - 請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載のバッテリシステムと、
前記バッテリシステムの前記第1および第2のバッテリモジュールの放電または充電に関する制御を行うシステム制御部とを備える、電力貯蔵装置。 - 外部に接続可能な電源装置であって、
請求項11記載の電力貯蔵装置と、
前記電力貯蔵装置の前記システム制御部により制御され、前記電力貯蔵装置の前記バッテリシステムと前記外部との間で電力変換を行う電力変換装置とを備える、電源装置。
