- the zoom lens according to the present invention forms an optical image of an object on the light receiving surface of an image sensor that converts an optical image into an electrical signal having a diagonal length of 2Ymax, and has positive power sequentially from the object side.
- the zoom lens is characterized in that the following conditional expression (1) is satisfied (power: an amount defined by the reciprocal of the focal length).
- the positive lead zoom lens according to the present invention is of a lens type having a generally negative and positive power arrangement across the aperture.
- this lens type shortening the focal length of the rear group of the positive power is effective for miniaturization, but it is difficult to secure the lens back. Therefore, this lens type is suitable as an interchangeable lens for a camera (for example, a mirrorless type interchangeable lens digital camera) whose lens back can be made relatively short.
- the F number is preferably 3 or less from the viewpoint of effectively achieving both miniaturization and high performance. If the upper limit of conditional expression (1) is exceeded, the focal length of the rear group of the positive power becomes too long, and as a result, the lens back becomes long and large. If the increase in size is to be suppressed, the power of the first group becomes strong, and it becomes difficult to correct spherical aberration. If the lower limit of conditional expression (1) is exceeded, the focal length of the rear group of the positive power becomes too short, making it difficult to correct spherical aberration.
- the zoom lens according to the present invention is an interchangeable lens for a mirrorless type digital camera in order to shorten the lens back and increase the diameter (for example, to maintain F2.8 in the entire zoom range). Therefore, it is possible to realize a compact interchangeable lens that is convenient to carry. The conditions for achieving such effects in a well-balanced manner and achieving higher optical performance, downsizing, etc. will be described below.
- Conditional expression (2) defines a desirable condition range for this purpose. When the upper limit of conditional expression (2) is exceeded, the negative power of the third lens unit becomes too strong, and the change in image magnification becomes large. Exceeding the lower limit of conditional expression (2) is not preferable because the negative power of the third lens unit becomes too weak and the amount of movement during focusing increases.
- the rear group includes, in order from the object side, a fourth group having positive power and a fifth group having positive power. It is more desirable to satisfy the following conditional expression (3). 0.6 ⁇ f4 / f5 ⁇ 0.8 (3) However, f4: focal length of the fourth group, f5: focal length of the fifth group, It is.
- the rear group GrR located on the image side from the stop includes a fourth group Gr4 having a positive power and a fifth group Gr5 having a positive power.
- the fifth group Gr5 is configured to move independently during zooming.
- Conditional expression (3) defines a desirable condition range for this purpose.
- the power of the fifth group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct spherical aberration occurring in the fifth group.
- the lower limit of conditional expression (3) is exceeded, the power of the fourth group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct the variation in field curvature that occurs in the fourth group.
- camera shake correction is performed by moving a part of the fourth group perpendicular to the optical axis.
- camera shake correction is performed by moving the cemented lens on the image side of the fourth group perpendicular to the optical axis.
- the rear group includes, in order from the object side, a fourth group having positive power, a fifth group having negative power, and a sixth group having positive power. It is more desirable to satisfy the following conditional expression (4). It is further desirable that the fourth group and the sixth group move together during zooming. 0.2 ⁇ f4 / f6 ⁇ 0.7 (4) However, f4: focal length of the fourth group, f6: focal length of the sixth group, It is.
- the rear group GrR located on the image side from the stop ST includes a fourth group Gr4 having positive power, a fifth group Gr5 having negative power, and a sixth group Gr6 having positive power.
- the fourth group Gr4 and the sixth group Gr6 move together during zooming, and the fifth group Gr5 moves independently of it.
- Conditional expression (4) defines a desirable condition range for this purpose. When the upper limit of conditional expression (4) is exceeded, the power of the sixth group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct spherical aberration occurring in the sixth group. When the lower limit of conditional expression (4) is exceeded, the power of the fourth group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct the variation in field curvature that occurs in the fourth group.
- camera shake correction is performed by moving the fifth group perpendicular to the optical axis.
- camera shake correction is performed by moving a fifth lens unit composed of cemented lenses perpendicularly to the optical axis.
- the cemented lens has an aspheric surface.
- Conditional expression (5) defines a preferable condition range regarding the positive power of the first group. If the upper limit of conditional expression (5) is exceeded, the power of the first lens group becomes too weak and there is a risk of increasing the size. If an attempt is made to suppress an increase in size, the power of the third lens group becomes strong, so that it becomes difficult to correct field curvature. When the lower limit of conditional expression (5) is exceeded, the power of the first group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct spherical aberration occurring in the first group.
- the main zooming burden is generally performed by the negative power of the second group, and the third group generally performs relatively small zooming.
- the power of the rear group located closer to the image side than the stop is strengthened, and the zooming load in the subsequent group is increased, thereby reducing the size and the size.
- Optical performance can be achieved.
- Conditional expression (6) defines a preferable condition range for the ratio of the combined lateral magnification of the second group and the third group at the wide end and the tele end. If the upper limit of conditional expression (6) is exceeded, the variable magnification burden in the negative group becomes too strong, making it difficult to correct astigmatism occurring in the negative group. If the lower limit of conditional expression (6) is exceeded, the zooming load on the rear group located on the image side from the stop becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct spherical aberration occurring in the subsequent group.
- Conditional expression (7) defines a preferable condition range for the ratio of the lateral magnification of the rear group at the wide end and the tele end. If the upper limit of conditional expression (7) is exceeded, the zooming burden on the rear group located on the image side from the stop becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct spherical aberration occurring in the subsequent group. If the lower limit of conditional expression (7) is exceeded, the variable magnification burden in the negative group becomes too strong, making it difficult to correct coma generated in the negative group.
- Conditional expression (8) defines a preferable condition range for the variable magnification ratio between the negative group and the rear group. If the upper limit of conditional expression (8) is exceeded, the variable magnification burden in the negative group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct coma generated in the negative group. If the lower limit of conditional expression (8) is exceeded, the zooming burden in the rear group becomes too strong, and it becomes difficult to correct spherical aberration occurring in the rear group.
