Abstract
Description
また、近年においては、自動車に対する低燃費化の要請が高まってきていることから、このような要請に応じるべく、タイヤの転がり抵抗を低減させることを目的として、補強剤としてシリカが用いられてきている。
そして、補強剤としてシリカが配合されてなるゴム組成物においては、シリカ同士が凝集しやすく、組成物中において均一に分散させることが困難であることから、このような問題を解決すべく、種々の提案がなされている(例えば、特許文献1および特許文献2参照。)。
また本発明の他の目的は、転がり抵抗が小さく、しかも、優れた反発弾性を有するタイヤを提供することにある。
また、本発明のゴム組成物の製造方法においては、前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有さない重合体、用いられる前記シリカの一部若しくは全部、および前記金属含有アシレート化合物を混練し、その後、前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体を添加して混練することが好ましい。

また、本発明のゴム組成物においては、前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有さない重合体、用いられる前記シリカの一部若しくは全部、および前記金属含有アシレート化合物を混練し、その後、前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体を添加して混練することによって得られるものであることが好ましい。
また、本発明のゴム組成物においては、前記共役ジエン系重合体におけるシリカと結合し得る官能基が、ヒドロカルビルオキシシリル基、1級アミノ基、2級アミノ基、3級アミノ基、チオール基、エポキシ基、チオエポキシ基、オキセタン基、ヒドロカルビルチオ基、およびオニウム生成剤によってオニウムになり得る基からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の基であることが好ましい。
また、本発明のゴム組成物においては、前記金属含有アシレート化合物が、上記一般式(1)または上記一般式(2)で表される化合物であることが好ましい。
本発明のゴム組成物によれば、ゴム成分としてシリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体が含有されているため、当該官能基がシリカと結合することにより、シリカの分散性が向上し、しかも、金属含有アシレート化合物が含有されているため、シリカ間において当該シリカにおけるシラノール基が縮合し、これにより、シリカの凝集体が形成される結果、シリカが過度に分散されることが抑制されるので、転がり抵抗が小さく、しかも、優れた反発弾性を有するゴム弾性体を得ることができる。
従って、本発明のゴム組成物は、タイヤのトレッドを得るためのゴム組成物として好適である。
本発明のゴム組成物は、シリカと結合し得る官能基(以下、「特定の官能基」という。)を有する共役ジエン系重合体(以下、「特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体」という。)よりなる(A)成分を含むゴム成分に、少なくとも金属含有アシレート化合物よりなる(B)成分およびシリカよりなる(C)成分が添加されてなるものである。また、本発明のゴム組成物には、上記の(A)成分~(C)成分と共に、必要に応じて(A)成分以外のゴム成分として特定の官能基を有さない重合体よりなる(D)成分が含有される。
(A)成分である特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体は、本発明のゴム組成物におけるゴム成分を構成するものである。この特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体は、分子量分布のコントロールが容易であるため、転がり抵抗を悪化させる要因となる低分子量成分を除去することができる。
共役ジエン化合物としては、1,3-ブタジエン、イソプレン、1,3-ペンタジエン、2,3-ジメチル-1,3-ブタジエン、2-フェニル-1,3-ブタジエン、1,3-ヘキサジエンなどを、単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて用いることができるが、これらの中では、1,3-ブタジエン、イソプレン、2,3-ジメチル-1,3-ブタジエンが好ましい。
また、芳香族ビニル化合物としては、スチレン、α-メチルスチレン、1-ビニルナフタレン、3-ビニルトルエン、エチルビニルベンゼン、ジビニルベンゼン、4-シクロヘキシルスチレン、2,4,6-トリメチルスチレン、tert-ブトキシジメチルシリルスチレンおよびイソプロポキシジメチルシリルスチレンなどを、単独でまたは2種以上を組み合わせて用いることができるが、これらの中では、スチレンが好ましい。
また、特定の官能基として1級アミノ基または2級アミノ基を有する特定の官能基含有化合物または特定の官能基含有単量体を用いる場合には、1級アミノ基または2級アミノ基における水素原子か、離脱可能な保護基、例えば炭素数が1~10のトリヒドロカルビルシリル基によって置換されていてもよい。
ここに、共役ジエン化合物に由来の構造単位中の1,2-ビニル結合の含有量は、500MHz、 1H-NMRスペクトルから算出することができる。
(B)成分である金属含有アシレート化合物は、後述するシリカにおけるシラノール基を縮合させる作用を有するものである。このような金属含有アシレート化合物としては、特に限定されないが、下記一般式(1)または下記一般式(2)で表される化合物であることが好ましい。

テトラキス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)ジルコニウム、テトラキス(ラウレート)ジルコニウム、テトラキス(ナフテート)ジルコニウム、テトラキス(ステアレート)ジルコニウム、 テトラキス(オレエート)ジルコニウム、テトラキス(リノレート)ジルコニウム等のM1 が4価のジルコニウムであるアシレート化合物、
トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)アルミニウム、トリス(ラウレート)アルミニウム、トリス(ナフテート)アルミニウム、トリス(ステアレート)アルミニウム、トリス(オレエート)アルミニウム、トリス(リノレート)アルミニウム等のM1 が3価のアルミニウムであるアシレート化合物、
トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)ビスマス、トリス(ラウレート)ビスマス、トリス(ナフテート)ビスマス、トリス(ステアレート)ビスマス、トリス(オレエート)ビスマス、トリス(リノレート)ビスマス等のM1 が3価のビスマスであるアシレート化合物、
ビス(n-オクタノエート)スズ、 ビス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)スズ、 ジラウレートスズ、 ジナフトエネートスズ、 ジステアレートスズ、 ジオレエートスズ等のM1 が2価のスズであるアシレート化合物などが挙げられる。
これらの中では、 トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄、 トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)ビスマス、トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)アルミニウム、トリス(ステアレート)アルミニウム、ビス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)スズが好ましい。
ビス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)ジルコニウムオキサイド、 ビス(ラウレート)ジルコニウムオキサイド、 ビス(ナフテート)ジルコニウムオキサイド、ビス(ステアレート)ジルコニウムオキサイド、ビス(オレエート)ジルコニウムオキサイド、ビス(リノレート)ジルコニウムオキサイド等のM2 が4価のジルコニウムであるアシレート化合物などが挙げられる。
これらの中では、ビス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)ジルコニウムオキサイド、ビス(オレエート)ジルコニウムオキサイドが好ましい。
本発明のゴム組成物中には、通常、充填剤として粒子状のシリカよりなる(C)成分が含有される。このシリカは、一般的に充填剤として用いられるものであればよいが、一次粒子径が50nm以下である合成ケイ酸であることが好ましい。
本発明のゴム組成物において、(D)成分である特定の官能基を有さない重合体(以下、「特定の官能基非含有重合体」という。)は、(A)成分である特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体と共にゴム成分を構成するものである。
このような特定の官能基非含有重合体としては、天然ゴム、ブタジエンゴム、合成イソプレンゴム、および、スチレン-ブタジエンゴムなどを用いることができる。
本発明のゴム組成物においては、上記の(A)成分~(D)成分以外に、必要に応じてその他の成分が含有されていてもよい。このようなその他の成分としては、カーボンブラックなどの補強剤、オイルなどの軟化剤、シランカップリング剤、ワックス、老化防止剤、ステアリン酸、酸化亜鉛、硫黄などの加硫剤または架橋剤、加硫促進剤などが挙げられる。
本発明のゴム組成物は、上記の各成分を、例えばプラストミル、バンバリーミキサー、ロール、インターナルミキサーなどの混練機を用いて混練することによって調製することができるが、(D)成分である特定の官能基非含有重合体、(C)成分であるシリカの一部若しくは全部、および(B)成分である金属含有アシレート化合物を混練し(以下、この工程を「第1混練工程」という。)、その後、得られた混練物に、(A)成分である特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体、或いは(A)成分である特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体および(C)成分であるシリカの残部を添加して混練する(以下、この工程を「第2混練工程」という。)ことが好ましい。
このような方法によれば、得られるタイヤの反発弾性と転がり抵抗のバランスが向上する。
従って、本発明のゴム組成物は、タイヤのトレッドを得るためのゴム組成物として好適である。
本発明のタイヤは、上記のゴム組成物から得られるトレッドを有するものである。このタイヤは、上記のゴム組成物を用いて通常の方法によって製造される。
すなわち、例えば本発明のゴム組成物(未架橋ゴム組成物)を、形成すべきタイヤの形状(具体的には、トレッドの形状)に応じて押し出し加工し、タイヤ成型機上にて通常の方法にて成形することにより、タイヤ用未架橋成形体を製造する。このタイヤ用未架橋成形体を例えば加硫機中で加熱加圧することによって、トレッドを製造し、このトレッドと他の部品を組み立てることにより、目的とするタイヤを製造することができる。
本発明のタイヤは、上記のゴム組成物から得られるトレッドを有するため、転がり抵抗が小さく、しかも、優れた反発弾性を有するものである。
以下の実施例および比較例において、各種物性値の測定法は以下の通りである。
重クロロホルムを溶媒として用い、500MHz、 1H-NMRスペクトルから算出した。
500MHz、 1H-NMRスペクトルから算出した。
ASTM D3418に準拠して示差走査熱量測定(DSC)によって測定した。
下記の条件にて、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)「HLC-8120GPC」(東ソー株式会社製)によって測定を行い、得られたGPC曲線の最大ピーク頂点に相当する保持時間から、ポリスチレン換算の重量平均分子量(Mw)を求めた。

JIS K6300に準拠し、Lローターを用い、予熱1分間、ローター作動時間4分間、温度100℃の条件で測定した。
合成例1:
先ず、窒素置換された内容積5リットルのオートクレーブ反応器に、溶媒としてシクロヘキサン2750g、ビニル結合含有を調整するための調整剤としてテトラヒドロフラン50g、単量体としてスチレン125gおよび1,3-ブタジエン375gを仕込み、反応器内の温度を10℃に調整した後、重合開始剤としてn-ブチルリチウム5.80mmolを含むシクロヘキサン溶液を添加することによって重合を開始した。重合は断熱条件で実施し、最高温度は85℃に達した。
重合転化率が99%に達したことを確認した後、重合転化率が99%に達した時点から更に5分間重合させた後、得られた反応溶液、すなわち共役ジエン化合物と芳香族ビニル化合物とからなる共重合体を含有するポリマー溶液から、分子量測定用(ベースポリマーの分子量測定用)として10gを採取した。
その後、ポリマー溶液に、N,N-ビス(トリメチルシリル)アミノプロピルメチルジエトキシシラン(以下、「特定の官能基含有化合物(1)」という。)4.96mmolを含むシクロヘキサン溶液を加えて15分間反応を行った。その後、得られたポリマー溶液に2,6-ジ-tert-ブチル-p-クレゾール2gを添加し、更に水酸化ナトリウムでpHを9に調整した熱水を用いてスチームストリッピングを行うことによって脱溶媒処理した後、110℃に調温された熱ロールによって乾燥処理することにより、特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体(以下、「重合体(A1)」という。)を得た。
得られた重合体(A1)の結合スチレン含量、ビニル結合含量、ガラス転移温度、ムーニー粘度、およびベースポリマーの重量平均分子量を下記表1に示す。
特定の官能基含有化合物(1)の代わりに3-(4-トリメチルシリル-1-ピペラジノ)プロピルトリエトキシシラン(以下、「特定の官能基含有化合物(2)」という。)4.96mmolを用いたこと以外は、合成例1と同様にして特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体(以下、「重合体(A2)」という。)を得た。
得られた重合体(A2)の結合スチレン含量、ビニル結合含量、ガラス転移温度、ムーニー粘度、およびベースポリマーの重量平均分子量を下記表1に示す。
特定の官能基含有化合物(1)の代わりに[3-(ジメチルアミノ)プロピル]トリエトキシシラン(以下、「特定の官能基含有化合物(3)」という。)4.96mmolを用いたこと以外は、合成例1と同様にして特定の官能基含有共役ジエン系重合体(以下、「重合体(A3)」という。)を得た。
得られた重合体(A3)の結合スチレン含量、ビニル結合含量、ガラス転移温度、ムーニー粘度、およびベースポリマーの重量平均分子量を下記表1に示す。
特定の官能基含有化合物(1)の代わりにメタノール4.96mmolを用いたこと以外は、合成例1と同様にして共役ジエン系重合体(以下、「重合体(A4)」という。)を得た。
得られた重合体(A4)の結合スチレン含量、ビニル結合含量、ガラス転移温度、ムーニー粘度、およびベースポリマーの重量平均分子量を下記表1に示す。
温度制御装置を付属したプラストミル(内容量250cc)を用い、以下のようにして本発明のゴム組成物を製造した。
(B)成分としてトリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄1質量部、(C)成分としてシリカ(東ソー・シリカ社製,品名「ニプシルAQ」,一次平均粒子径15nm)84質量部、(D)成分としてブタジエンゴム(JSR社製,品名「BR01」)30質量部、伸展油(三共油化工業社製,品名「SNH46」)45質量部、カーボンブラック6.7質量部、シランカップリング剤(デグサ社製,品名「Si69」)10質量部、ステアリン酸2.4質量部、老化防止剤(大内新興化学工業社製,品名「ノクラック810NA」)1.2質量部、および酸化亜鉛(亜鉛華)3.6質量部を、回転数60rpm、充填率72%の混練条件によって5分間混練し(第1混練工程)、その後、得られた混練物に、(A)成分として重合体(A1)70質量部を添加し、回転数60rpm、温度120℃の混練条件によって5分間混練した(第2混練工程)。
次いで、得られた混練物を室温まで冷却した後、当該混練物に、加硫促進剤「ノクセラ-CZ」(大内新興化学工業社製)2.2質量部、加硫促進剤「ノクセラ-D」(大内新興化学工業社製)1.8質量部、イオウ1.8質量部を添加し、回転数60rpm、温度80℃の混練条件によって1分間混練することにより、ゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(1)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(1)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
(A)成分として重合体(A1)の代わりに重合体(A2)70質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(2)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(2)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
(A)成分として重合体(A1)の代わりに重合体(A3)70質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(3)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(3)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
(B)成分としてトリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄の代わりにトリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)ビスマス1質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(4)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(4)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
(B)成分としてトリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄の代わりにビス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)ジルコニウムオキサイド1質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(5)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(5)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄の代わりにテトラエトキシジルコニウム1質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(6)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(6)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄の代わりにトリ-n-プロポキシアルミニウム1質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(7)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(7)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄の代わりにテトラキス(2-エチルヘキソキシ)チタニウム1質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(8)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(8)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
重合体(A1)の代わりに重合体(A4)70質量部を用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(9)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(9)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
トリス(2-エチルヘキサノエート)鉄を用いなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にしてゴム組成物を製造した。得られたゴム組成物を「ゴム組成物(10)」とする。また、ゴム組成物(10)のムーニー粘度を下記表2に示す。
ゴム組成物(1)~ゴム組成物(10)の各々を成型した後、加硫プレス機を用いて160℃の条件で加硫処理することにより、ゴム弾性体を調製し、これらのゴム弾性体について、下記の特性評価を行った。結果を下記表2に示す。
トリプソ式反発弾性試験(東洋精機製作所製)を用い、50℃の条件で測定し、比較例5に係るゴム弾性体の値を100としたときの指数を求めた。この指数の値が大きいほど反発弾性が大きく良好であることが示される。
(2)ウェットスキッド抵抗性(0℃tanδ):
動的スペクトロメーター(米国レオメトリックス社製)を用い、引張動歪0.14%、角速度100ラジアン毎秒、温度0℃の条件で測定し、比較例5に係るゴム弾性体の値を100としたときの指数を求めた。この指数の値が大きいほどウェットスキッド抵抗性が大きく良好であることが示される。
(3)低ヒステリシスロス特性(70℃tanδ):
動的スペクトロメーター(米国レオメトリックス社製)を使用し、引張動歪0.7%、角速度100ラジアン毎秒、温度70℃の条件で測定し、比較例5に係るゴム弾性体の値を100としたときの指数を求めた。この指数の値が大きいほど低ヒステリシスロス特性が大きく良好であることが示される。
Claims (12)
- シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体を含有するゴム成分と、金属含有アシレート化合物と、シリカとを混練することを特徴とするゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体、前記金属含有アシレート化合物および前記シリカと共に、前記共役ジエン系重合体以外のゴム成分として、シリカと結合し得る官能基を有さない重合体を混練することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有さない重合体、用いられる前記シリカの一部若しくは全部、および前記金属含有アシレート化合物を混練し、その後、前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体を添加して混練することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 前記共役ジエン系重合体におけるシリカと結合し得る官能基が、ヒドロカルビルオキシシリル基、1級アミノ基、2級アミノ基、3級アミノ基、チオール基、エポキシ基、チオエポキシ基、オキセタン基、ヒドロカルビルチオ基、およびオニウム生成剤によってオニウムになり得る基からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の基であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物の製造方法。
- 前記金属含有アシレート化合物が、下記一般式(1)または下記一般式(2)で表される化合物であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物の製造方法。
一般式(1):M1 -(OCOR1 )n
(一般式(1)において、M1 は2~4価の金属元素、R1 は、炭素数が1~20の炭化水素基を示し、nは2~4の整数である。)
一般式(2):O=M2 -(OCOR2 )2
(一般式(2)において、M2 は4価の金属元素、R2 は、炭素数が1~20の炭化水素基を示す。) - シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体を含有するゴム成分と、金属含有アシレート化合物と、シリカとを混練することによって得られることを特徴とするゴム組成物。
- 前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体、前記金属含有アシレート化合物および前記シリカと共に、前記共役ジエン系重合体以外のゴム成分として、シリカと結合し得る官能基を有さない重合体を混練することによって得られることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のゴム組成物。
- 前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有さない重合体、用いられる前記シリカの一部若しくは全部、および前記金属含有アシレート化合物を混練し、その後、前記シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体を添加して混練することによって得られることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のゴム組成物。
- 前記共役ジエン系重合体におけるシリカと結合し得る官能基が、ヒドロカルビルオキシシリル基、1級アミノ基、2級アミノ基、3級アミノ基、チオール基、エポキシ基、チオエポキシ基、オキセタン基、ヒドロカルビルチオ基、およびオニウム生成剤によってオニウムになり得る基からなる群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の基であることを特徴とする請求項6乃至請求項8のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物。
- 前記金属含有アシレート化合物が、下記一般式(1)または下記一般式(2)で表される化合物であることを特徴とする請求項6乃至請求項9のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物。 一般式(1):M1 -(OCOR1 )n
(一般式(1)において、M1 は2~4価の金属元素、R1 は、炭素数が1~20の炭化水素基を示し、nは2~4の整数である。)
一般式(2):O=M2 -(OCOR2 )2
(一般式(2)において、M2 は4価の金属元素、R2 は、炭素数が1~20の炭化水素基を示す。) - シリカと結合し得る官能基を有する共役ジエン系重合体を含有するゴム成分に、少なくともシリカおよび金属含有アシレート化合物が添加されてなることを特徴とするゴム組成物。
- 請求項6乃至請求項11のいずれかに記載のゴム組成物から得られるトレッドを有することを特徴とするタイヤ。
