Definitions
- the present invention relates to a steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles (hereinafter also simply referred to as “steel cord”) and a pneumatic tire using the steel cord (hereinafter also simply referred to as “tire”), and more specifically, rubber permeability and productivity.
- the steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles and the pneumatic tire using the same which can reduce the weight of the tire without losing the strength when applied to the tire.

Further, it has been reported that, by satisfying a predetermined relationship, steering stability and durability can be improved while reducing the weight of the tire.
- Patent Documents 1 to 4 have been studied from the viewpoint of rubber permeability, that is, durability, it cannot be said that the productivity of the steel cord has been sufficiently studied, and more than necessary between the sheath filaments.
- the sheath filaments are not evenly distributed around the core filaments, resulting in a problem of poor productivity. That is, when the entire steel cord is bent, the tension on each filament is likely to be non-uniform, causing a phenomenon in which some filaments are stretched out.
- the tension is not evenly distributed to the filament when the steel cord is pulled, there is a problem that the strength is reduced.
- the pneumatic tire described in Patent Document 5 is excellent in handling stability and durability, but has not been sufficiently examined in terms of productivity of the steel cord.
- construction vehicle tires and heavy duty tires are also required to have improved cut resistance for the purpose of extending the life of the tire as well as reducing the weight of the tire. This is because construction vehicle tires are forced to travel on the road surface where scattered rocks are scattered, and belt cut failures are likely to occur, and the cuts directly cause the tires to break down, or water enters the cut scratches. This is because the steel cord is corroded, and this causes a separation failure, or any failure occurs, resulting in a problem that the tire life is reduced.

- the present inventor makes the interval between the sheath filaments constituting the (2 + 6) structure steel cord within a predetermined range, and constitutes the (2 + 6) structure steel cord. It has been found that the above-mentioned problems can be solved by optimizing the spacing between the sheath filaments and the cord spacing, and the present invention has been completed.

- the steel cord 10 for reinforcing rubber articles according to the present invention includes a core in which two core filaments 1 are arranged in parallel without being twisted, and six sheath filaments 2 twisted around the core.
- the reason why the number of the core filaments 1 is two is that when the number of the core filaments is three or more, it is difficult to arrange them in parallel without being twisted.
- the rubber permeability to the center part of the steel cord 10 required for ensuring durability can be efficiently ensured by using six sheath filaments 2.
- the number of sheath filaments is 5 or less, the rubber permeability is good, but the dispersibility of the sheath filament is deteriorated and the strength is insufficient.
- the number of sheath filaments is seven or more, it becomes impossible to secure a sufficient gap for rubber penetration, and durability is lowered.
- the untwisted core filament has a substantially circular shape, but the cross-sectional shape of the sheath filament changes according to the twist pitch. That is, when the twist pitch is increased, the cross section of the sheath filament approaches a circular shape, and when the twist pitch is decreased, the sheath filament has a feature that the degree of ellipse (flatness) increases.

D=[L―6ds{1+(L/p)2}1/2]/6 (I)
D=[L―6ds{1+(L/p)2}1/2]/6 (I)
D=[L―6ds{1+(L/p)2}1/2]/6 (I)
