Definitions
- the present invention relates to an oil recovery structure for an engine having a baffle plate provided between an oil pan and a crankshaft and having an opening for discharging oil to the oil pan.
- Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-127146 discloses a structure in which an opening is formed on a downstream side of a perpendicular line passing through a rotation center of a crankshaft in a baffle plate (patent) Reference 1).
- the oil scattered with the rotation of the crankshaft is collected by the baffle plate, and the collected oil is discharged from an opening formed in the baffle plate.
- an opening is formed in a baffle plate, a concave portion that is inclined downward is formed in a part of an edge of the opening, and a lower portion is formed on an edge of the concave portion.
- a structure is disclosed that extends to form a rib whose tip contacts the liquid surface of the oil pan (see Patent Document 2).
- the oil scattered with the rotation of the crankshaft is collected by the baffle plate, and the collected oil flows down while being guided by the concave portions and ribs formed on the baffle plate.
- Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-98916 discloses a structure in which a hole is formed in a baffle plate, and a cylindrical guide portion is formed at the edge of the hole so as to extend downward and have a tip contacting the liquid level of the oil pan. Is disclosed (see Patent Document 3). In this technique, the oil scattered with the rotation of the crankshaft is collected by the baffle plate, and the collected oil flows down inside the cylindrical guide portion formed on the baffle plate.
- An object of the present invention is to provide an oil recovery structure for an engine that can suppress generation of bubbles in oil in an oil pan.
- a first characteristic configuration of an oil recovery structure for an engine according to the present invention includes an oil pan for storing oil, a baffle provided between a crankshaft and the oil pan, and having an opening for discharging oil to the oil pan.
- the second characteristic configuration of the present invention is that the oil guide portion is at least one inclined portion provided in the middle of the cylindrical portion.
- the cylindrical part from the baffle plate to the oil liquid level is lengthened. For this reason, oil becomes easy to receive flow resistance from a cylindrical part, and oil is fully deenergized. Therefore, when the oil that has flowed down flows into the liquid level of the oil pan, it becomes difficult for the oil to entrain air and the generation of bubbles can be suppressed.
- the third characteristic configuration of the present invention is that the oil guide portion is a spiral member provided inside the cylindrical portion.
- the oil flow path can be made extremely long by configuring the oil guide portion with a cylindrical portion and a spiral member. Since the length of the flow path is increased, that is, the inclination is reduced, the oil is sufficiently de-energized. Therefore, when the oil that has flowed down flows into the liquid level of the oil pan, it becomes difficult for the oil to entrain air and the generation of bubbles can be suppressed. Further, since the discharged oil flows down while being guided by the spiral member without any break, the oil does not fall and collide with the member. Therefore, the generation of bubbles can be further suppressed.
- the oil guide portion is provided inside the cylindrical portion, and is a plurality of inclined members having inclined surfaces, and the plurality of inclined members are arranged inside the cylindrical portion.
- the oil flowing down is arranged in a state of falling while sequentially contacting the inclined surfaces of the plurality of inclined members.
- the oil guide portion With a cylindrical portion and a plurality of inclined members, the oil flow path becomes zigzag, the oil flow path can be lengthened, and the inclination can be relaxed. For this reason, the oil is sufficiently de-energized, and the entrainment of air when the oil flows can be further reduced.
- a fifth characteristic configuration of the present invention includes an oil pan that stores oil, a baffle plate that is provided between a crankshaft and the oil pan, and that has an opening for discharging oil to the oil pan. And an oil guide portion extending toward the oil pan and having a lower end contacting the oil of the oil pan.
- a box-shaped oil pan 2 that collects and stores oil supplied to each part of the engine 1 is installed below the engine 1.
- a flat baffle plate 3 is installed between the oil pan 2 and the crankshaft 8.
- the baffle plate 3 has a function of receiving the oil flowing down from the upper part of the engine 1 and discharging it to the oil pan 2, and a function of regulating the deviation of the oil stored in the oil pan 2.
- the oil pan 2 is provided with a strainer 7 for sucking up oil.
- the strainer 7 is connected to an oil pump (not shown) that supplies oil from the oil pan 2 to each part of the engine.
- the baffle plate 3 has an opening 4 for discharging oil flowing down from the upper part of the engine 1 to the oil pan 2.
- a cylindrical portion 5 is attached to the edge of the opening 4.
- the cylindrical portion 5 has a function of preventing the oil discharged from the opening 4 from scattering on the liquid surface of the oil pan 2.
- the cylindrical portion 5 is configured in a cylindrical shape along the vertical direction, and the lower end portion is in contact with the oil of the oil pan 2.
- the shape of the cylindrical part 5 is not restricted to a cylindrical shape, A rectangular tube shape may be sufficient and it is not specifically limited.
- a screw 6 (an oil guide part, an example of a spiral member) is provided inside the cylindrical part 5.
- the screw 6 has a screw blade 6a for guiding oil and a screw shaft 6b.
- the depressurization of the oil means that the oil flow is suppressed by the contact with the oil guide.
- a plurality of rectangular plate-like inclined plates 10 (an example of an oil guide portion and an inclined member) having an inclined surface for guiding oil inside a rectangular tubular portion 5.
- the plurality of inclined plates 10 are arranged in the vertical direction so as to alternately protrude from the opposite side wall portions of the cylindrical portion 5. Of the inclined plates 10 adjacent to each other in the vertical direction, the lower inclined plate 10 is positioned vertically below the lower end portion of the upper inclined plate 10.
- the shape of the inclined plate 10 is not limited to a flat plate shape, and may be an upward convex shape or a downward convex shape.
- the slope of the lower end portion of the inclined plate 10 becomes gentler than the flat plate shape or upward convex shape. For this reason, the inclination of the flow direction of the oil falling from the lower end portion of the upper inclined plate 10 becomes gentle, and when the falling oil comes into contact with the lower inclined plate 10, the oil once flows upward. It tends to flow to the side. As a result, the flow path becomes longer and the flow resistance is easily received from the inclined plate 10. Further, the oil energy is easily absorbed by the friction between the oil flowing upward and the oil flowing downward. Accordingly, the downward convex shape is more likely to reduce the oil than the flat plate shape or the upward convex shape.
- the oil guide portion according to the present invention may be formed by bending the lower portion of the cylindrical portion 5 to form a linear inclined portion 12. Flow resistance acts on oil by contact with the inclined portion 12.
- the inclined portion 12 makes the oil channel slant and makes the channel longer. For this reason, the oil is sufficiently reduced. Therefore, when the oil that has flowed down comes into contact with the liquid level of the oil pan 2, the oil that has flowed becomes difficult to entrain air, and the generation of bubbles can be suppressed.
- the inclined portion 12 may be formed in a curved shape.
- the inclined portion 12 can be made longer when the inclined portion 12 is formed in a curved shape than when the inclined portion 12 is formed in a linear shape. For this reason, it becomes easy for oil to receive flow resistance from the inclination part 12, and oil is fully deenergized.
- plate-like extending portions 13 extending downward may be formed at the lower ends of the upper inclined plate 10 and the lower inclined plate 10, respectively.
- the free fall distance of oil can be shortened and generation
- the extension 13 serves as a weir, and oil is temporarily stored in the space between the extension 13 and the inclined plate 10. The stored oil flows down little by little through the gap between the tip of the extension 13 and the inclined plate 10. Thereby, a large amount of oil can be prevented from flowing into the liquid surface of the oil pan 2 in a short time, and the generation of bubbles can be reduced.
- the shape of the cylindrical portion 5 may be a rectangular tube shape in addition to the cylindrical shape, and is not particularly limited. Instead of the configuration in which the inclined plate 10 having the inclined surface is provided, a member having the inclined surface may be provided.
- the present invention includes an oil pan for storing oil, a baffle plate provided between the crankshaft and the oil pan, and formed with an opening for discharging oil to the oil pan, and extends downward from an edge of the opening,
- the present invention is applicable to various oil recovery structures including a cylindrical portion whose lower end portion comes into contact with the oil of the oil pan.
- Oil pan 3 Oil pan 3 Baffle plate 4 Opening 5 Cylindrical part 6 Oil guide part, spiral member 8 Crankshaft 10 Oil guide part, inclined member 12 Oil guide part, inclined part
