Abstract
Description
従来、シリンダブロックの外部からクランプして固定する方法が広く用いられている。しかしながら、治具のサイズが大きくなる点、治具と加工工具との干渉が生じ得る点で改良の余地がある。
また、クランプアームの固定方向がボア内の凸部の形成方向に限られているため、固定方向と直交する方向への外力に対して必要なクランプ力を発揮できない。
説明の便宜上、以下の説明において、図面の上下方向及び左右方向を治具1及びシリンダブロック2の上下方向及び左右方向と規定する。
ジャーナル壁4は、シリンダブロック2の下部(シリンダヘッドが取り付けられる側と反対側の部位)に位置し、半円状の軸受部5を有する。ジャーナル壁4は、クランクケース3の内壁の一部を構成するとともに、軸受部5にてクランクシャフトを軸支する。
クランプ装置10は、シリンダブロック2のジャーナル壁4を下方からクランプして固定する。テーブル20は、シリンダブロック2の形状・大きさ等に応じて設置される複数の基準シート21及び複数の基準ピン22を有し、これらの基準部材を用いてシリンダブロック2を高精度に位置決めした状態で載置する平台である。また、テーブル20は、上下方向に貫通する孔23を有し、その孔23を通じてクランプ装置10が上下方向に移動可能であり、テーブル20の上面から上方に向けて突出可能である。
センターピン16は、センターロッド11の上端に設けられている。リンクピン17・17は、センターピン16よりも上方に位置するように設けられる。これにより、リンクアーム12・12は、センターロッド11の上端から斜め上方に向けて延出するように支持されている。言い換えれば、初期状態(クランプしていない状態)において、リンクアーム12・12のなす角度が180°より小さい角度となるように設定されている。
クランプヘッド14は、ジャーナル壁4のうち、クランクシャフトを軸受けする軸受部5を避けるように設けられており、クランプヘッド14・14による押圧を受けた場合でもシリンダブロック2の製品精度を悪化することがない。
まず、アクチュエータを作動させて、センターロッド11を下方に移動することによって、センターピン16を介してリンクアーム12・12の一端(基端)を下方に引き込む。これにより、リンクアーム12・12にセンターピン16を中心として内側(図3に示す矢印方向)に回転する力が加わり、この回転力によってリンクピン17・17が内側に移動する。このリンクピン17・17の移動に伴って、クランプアーム13・13が支持ピン18・18を中心として内側に向けて回転する。
これとは逆に、クランプアーム13・13によるクランプ力を開放する場合は、センターロッド11を上方に移動することによって、リンクアーム12・12を外側に回動させて、クランプアーム13・13間の距離を大きくする。
すなわち、クランプ装置10は、センターロッド11、リンクアーム12・12、及びクランプアーム13・13によってリンク機構を構成するとともに、センターロッド11の駆動により、クランプアーム13・13の移動(変位)を制御している。
このとき、シリンダブロック2は、テーブル20に配置される基準シート21・21上に載置されており、クランプ装置10は、テーブル20の孔から上方に突出した状態でシリンダブロック2を下方からクランプするとともに、シリンダブロック2をクランプした状態で下方に引き込みテーブル20に押し付けるようにして固定する。
言い換えれば、クランプアーム13・13によるクランプ力の作用点(クランプヘッド14・14)と、クランプアーム13・13を支持する支点(支持ピン18・18)との距離を小さくすることができる。このため、クランプ機構の工具長を短くすることができるとともに、大きなクランプ力でシリンダブロック2をクランプできるため、安定的にクランプできる。
また、クランプ装置10は、シリンダブロック2を下方に引き込むことによって強固に固定するため、シリンダブロック2を加工する際の任意の加工方向に対して十分な固定強度を確保できる。
本実施形態のクランプヘッド14・14は、半円状の軸受部5の両側方に当接し、押圧する。この場合、クランプヘッド14・14は、シリンダブロック2の最下方に位置するジャーナル壁4の下部をクランプすることになるため、クランプアーム13・13の長さを最小限に留めることができ、クランプの安定性を向上できるという効果を奏する。

Claims (3)
- シリンダブロックを固定するために用いる治具であって、
前記シリンダブロックのクランクケースが下方に位置するように、前記シリンダブロックが載置されるテーブルと、
前記テーブルの上面から上方に突出可能であり、前記シリンダブロックのクランクケース間を隔てるジャーナル壁をクランプするクランプ装置と、を具備するシリンダブロックの固定用治具。 - 前記クランプ装置は、前記シリンダブロックのジャーナル壁をクランプした状態で、前記シリンダブロックをさらに下方に引き込んで前記テーブルに押圧する請求項1に記載のシリンダブロックの固定用治具。
- 前記クランプ装置は、前記シリンダブロックのジャーナル壁のうち、クランクシャフトの軸受けする軸受部の側部の壁面部分をクランプする請求項1又は2に記載のシリンダブロックの固定用治具。
