Definitions
- the present invention relates to a wire harness protection structure that protects a predetermined portion of a wire harness from interference of other members.
- the corrugated tube 500 has a bellows-like cylindrical shape, and a slit is formed along the axial direction thereof.
- the slit of the corrugated tube 500 is forcibly opened to cover the outer periphery of the wire harness 501.
- an adhesive tape so as not to be displaced.
- a plurality of interference sites 503 where the wire harness 501 comes into contact with the peripheral members are often spot-like in a predetermined length L of the wire harness 501.
- the corrugated tube 500 is divided for each interference site 503, the number of parts increases and the number of work steps increases. For this reason, in the conventional wire harness protection structure, the long corrugated tube 500 which covers the several interference site
- the conventional wire harness protection structure uses a long corrugated tube 500 that covers the plurality of interference sites 503, so that the site other than the interference site 503 is wasted. Further, since there are various numbers and intervals of the interference portions 503, the corrugated tube 500 has to be prepared in a plurality of types having different overall lengths. As a result, workability is reduced, parts management is complicated, and material costs and manufacturing costs are increased. Moreover, it may be disadvantageous for weight reduction of the whole wire harness.

- unnecessary parts provided only for the connection between interference sites are eliminated, and the amount and type of protective material (various length types) can be minimized. . That is, the protective material can be reduced by the amount of unnecessary portions that are eliminated.
- only one type of protective material used in a spot manner is provided, it is possible to individually cope with a plurality of interference sites located at various pitches, and a plurality of types of protective materials for collective protection having different lengths are prepared. There is no need.
- a spot is detected at each interference site compared to a protection structure that has conventionally provided a protective material such as a long corrugated tube, tube, or vinyl sheet over a plurality of interference sites.
- both the protective material and the fixing adhesive tape become an adhesive tape, which facilitates work and component management. If the same pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is used for the protective pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and the fixing pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, work and component management are further facilitated.
- the wire harness protection structure of (4) above it is possible to easily secure the strength of the protective adhesive tape. If the protective pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has a thickness that provides the required strength, it can be fixed easily as a single winding. Moreover, if it is thicker than the fixing adhesive tape, the number of windings can be reduced to facilitate the operation.
- a conventional protective material such as a conventional corrugated tube, tube, vinyl sheet, etc. is obtained by increasing the thickness by stacking a plurality of protective adhesive tapes.
- FIG. 1 It is an appearance perspective view of a wire harness protection structure concerning a 1st embodiment of the present invention. It is a perspective view of the wire harness before the adhesive tape for fixation is wound. It is sectional drawing of the wire harness of the site
- FIG. 1 is an external perspective view of a wire harness protection structure according to a first embodiment of the present invention.
- the wire harness protection structure protects a predetermined portion of the wire harness 11 from interference of other members.
- the wire harness 11 may be a single wire or a bundle of a plurality of wires.
- the wire harness protection structure includes a protective material 15 that covers the outer periphery of the wire harness 11 at a predetermined location, and a fixing adhesive tape 21 that fixes the protective material 15.
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the wire harness before the fixing adhesive tape is wound.
- the predetermined place to be protected may be one place or a plurality of places.
- the predetermined location refers to an outer peripheral range of the wire harness 11 including a certain tolerance dimension ⁇ C in the axial direction of the wire harness 11 around the interference site 13 shown in FIG.
- the material of the protective material 15 examples include adhesive vinyl tape (simply referred to as “adhesive tape”), outer cover vinyl sheet, sponge sheet, metal braid, and tube.
- the vinyl sheet and the tube are made of the same material as the conventional one, but when used in the present embodiment, the vinyl sheet and the tube are not long but are short and arranged in spots only at predetermined locations. These materials can be set according to the material and shape of the mating member.
- the protective adhesive tape 23 (refer FIG. 3) which is an adhesive tape is used for the protective material 15. As shown in FIG.
- both the protective material 15 and the fixing adhesive tape 21 become an adhesive tape, which facilitates winding work and component management. If the same adhesive tape is used for the protective adhesive tape 23 and the fixing adhesive tape 21, work and component management are further facilitated.
- FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the wire harness in a portion covered with a protective material
- FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a protective adhesive tape that is stacked three times.
- Protective adhesive tape 23 may have a structure in which a plurality of protective tapes are stacked and pasted. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, a plurality of adhesive tape pieces 23 a, 23 b, 23 c cut to a certain width A and length B are stacked, and these are pasted around the interference site 13.
- the protective adhesive tape 23 has a mechanical strength equivalent to that of a conventional corrugated tube, tube, or vinyl sheet by overlapping a plurality of sheets to a predetermined thickness. That is, the protective pressure-sensitive adhesive tape 23 can be used as a protective material by setting it to a predetermined thickness that provides mechanical strength.
- the width A direction of the three stacked adhesive tapes 23 is the axial direction of the protective material 15.
- the length of the adhesive tape 23 for protection is wound in the circumferential direction of the wire harness 11 and the adhesive surfaces 25 at both ends are bonded to each other. In this case, the operation can be facilitated by removing the extra length portion with the cutting line 27. Further, the extra length portion may be further wound around the peripheral surface of the protective adhesive tape 23 and fixed.
- the protective material 15 may be a protective adhesive tape 23 that is thicker than the fixing adhesive tape 21. Thereby, securing of the strength of the protective material 15 can be facilitated. If the protective adhesive tape 23 has a thickness that provides the required strength, the fixing operation can be facilitated as a single winding. Moreover, if it is thicker than the fixing adhesive tape 21, the number of windings can be reduced to facilitate the operation.
- the length B direction of the protective adhesive tape 23 is wound in the circumferential direction of the wire harness 11 to adhere the adhesive surfaces 25 at both ends.
- the protective adhesive tape 23 may be a normal winding structure in which the wire harness 11 is spirally wound around the outer periphery of the wire harness 11.

- the protective material 15 can be configured using only the same adhesive tape as the fixing adhesive tape 21, and the protective adhesive tape 23 and the fixing adhesive tape 21 are wound in the same winding. Since this is a revolving work, the work can be greatly simplified.
- the use of the protective adhesive tape 23 thicker than the fixing adhesive tape 21 is not excluded. If the protective adhesive tape 23 wound three times is made thick, it is easy to ensure the strength of the protective material 15. Further, if the protective adhesive tape 23 has a thickness that provides the necessary strength, the fixing operation can be facilitated as a single winding. Further, even if the protective adhesive tape 23 is somewhat thicker than the fixing adhesive tape 21, the number of windings can be reduced to facilitate the operation.
- the protective material 15 such as a long corrugated tube, a tube, or a vinyl sheet is provided over the plurality of interference sites 13.
