制動装置及び車両
 本発明は、減速時に制動力を作用させる制動装置及び車両に関する。
 自動車等の車両には、走行中に減速、停止するために、ブレーキ等の制動装置が設けられている。制動装置は、回転するタイヤや、車軸、駆動機構に回転を抑制する方向に負荷を加えることで、車両を減速させ、停止させる。
 ここで、制動装置の制動力を制御する装置としては、例えば、特許文献1に、車輌のロール剛性を変更するロール剛性可変手段と、車輪に制駆動力を付与する制駆動力付与手段とを有する車輌用操舵制御装置に於いて、車輌のロール方向によって車輌のロール剛性が異なる固着異常が前記ロール剛性可変手段に発生しているときには、車輌のロール方向に対する車輌のロール剛性のずれ量に基づいて車輌に作用する余分なヨーモーメントに対抗するに必要なヨーモーメントを演算し、前記必要なヨーモーメントを車輌に付与するよう左右輪の制駆動力差を制御する制御手段を有することを特徴とする車輌の走行制御装置が記載されている。特許文献1に記載の装置は、必要に応じて、左右輪の制動力を調整することで、直進走行性を向上させることができる。また、制動力を調整する装置としては、ABS(Anti-lock Brake System)制御や、VCS(Vehicle Control System)制御もある。

 ここで、車両は、制動時に偏向することがある。つまり、ブレーキをかけると、一方向に曲がりながら止まる挙動を示す場合がある。このような場合も、特許文献1に記載の装置や、ABS制御や、VCS制御により制動力を制御することで、車両の偏向を抑制することができる。
 しかしながら、特許文献1に記載の制御装置は、検出値に基づいて制御を行うため、制御開始前は、左右の車輪に同じ制動力がかかる。ここで、左右車輪と重心位置との距離が、左右で異なる距離となる。そのため、左右の車輪に同じ制動力がかかると回転モーメントが発生し、車体の偏向が発生する。
 本発明は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、制動時の車体の偏向を効果的に抑制することができる制動装置及び車両を提供することを目的とする。
 上述した課題を解決し、目的を達成するために、本発明は、車体に回転自在に配置された第1タイヤと第2タイヤに制動力を付与する駆動装置であって、液圧を供給する第1液圧室と第2液圧室とを備えたマスタシリンダと、前記第1液圧室と前記第2液圧室とに外力を付与するピストンと、前記第1液圧室から供給された液圧に基づいて第1タイヤに制動力を作用させる第1油圧制動部と、前記第2液圧室から供給された液圧に基づいて第2タイヤに制動力を作用させる第2油圧制動部と、を有し、前記マスタシリンダは、前記ピストンのストローク量が大きくなると、前記第1液圧室の圧力と前記第2液圧室の圧力との比の差が、前記ピストンのストローク量が小さい場合の圧力の比の差よりも大きくなることを特徴とする。

 以下、本発明につき図面を参照しつつ詳細に説明する。なお、下記の発明を実施するための形態(以下、実施形態という)により本発明が限定されるものではない。また、下記実施形態における構成要素には、当業者が容易に想定できるもの、実質的に同一のもの、いわゆる均等の範囲のものが含まれる。さらに、下記実施形態で開示した構成要素は適宜組み合わせることが可能である。以下に、本発明にかかる車両の実施形態を図面に基づいて詳細に説明する。なお、この実施形態によりこの発明が限定されるものではない。
[実施形態]
 図1は、制動装置を有する車両の概略構成を示す模式図である。図1に示すように車両10は、車体11と、左フロントタイヤ12と、右フロントタイヤ14と、左リヤタイヤ16と、右リヤタイヤ18と、制動装置20と、を有する。なお、図示は省略したが、車両10は、上記構成以外にも、駆動源、動力伝達部、操作部、座席等、車両として必要な各種構成を備えている。
 車体11は、車両10の筐体、いわゆるボディーである。車体11の内部には、駆動源、動力伝達部、操作部、座席等が設けられている。
 左フロントタイヤ12と、右フロントタイヤ14と、左リヤタイヤ16と、右リヤタイヤ18は、車体11の四方に配置され、路面に接地している。左フロントタイヤ12と、右フロントタイヤ14と、左リヤタイヤ16と、右リヤタイヤ18は、駆動源及び動力伝達部により回転されることで、駆動力を路面に伝え、車体11を路面に対して移動させる。
 制動装置20は、運転者が操作するブレーキペダル21と、ブレーキペダル21に入力されたペダル踏力を倍化させる制動倍力装置(ブレーキブースタ)22と、この制動倍力装置22により倍化されたペダル踏力をブレーキ液の液圧(油圧)へと変換するマスタシリンダ23と、マスタシリンダ23から供給される油圧を流通させる第1油圧配管24及び第2油圧配管26と、各タイヤに対応して配置されており、第1油圧配管24及び第2油圧配管26から供給される油圧により制動力を発生させる油圧制動部28lf、28rf、28lr、28rrと、を有する。なお、第1油圧配管24は、油圧制動部28rf及び油圧制動部28lrと接続されている。また第2油圧配管26は、油圧制動部28lf及び油圧制動部28rrと接続されている。
 ここで、油圧制動部28lfは、左フロントタイヤ12に制動力を付与し、油圧制動部28rfは、右フロントタイヤ14に制動力を付与し、油圧制動部28lrは、左リヤタイヤ16に制動力を付与し、油圧制動部28rrは、右リヤタイヤ18に制動力を付与する。油圧制動部28lfは、第2油圧配管26を介してマスタシリンダ23から油圧が供給されるホイールシリンダ30lfと、車輪(左フロントタイヤ12)とともに回転するブレーキロータ32lfと、回転しないように車体11に支持され、ホイールシリンダ30lfにより位置が変化され制動時にブレーキロータ32lfと接触するブレーキパッド34lfと、を有する。油圧制動部28lfは、以上のような構成であり、マスタシリンダ23からより高い油圧(制動時の油圧)が供給されると、ホイールシリンダ30lfがブレーキパッド34lfをブレーキロータ32lfに押し付ける方向に移動させる。これにより、ブレーキパッド34lfとブレーキロータ32lfが接触し、ブレーキロータ32lfに対して回転が停止する方向の力を付与する。油圧制動部28lfは、このようにして、マスタシリンダ23から供給される油圧により、制動力を対向して配置されたタイヤに付与する。
 次に、油圧制動部28rf、28lr、28rrは、配置位置(対応して配置されるタイヤ)が異なるのみで、基本的に油圧制動部28lfと同様の構成である。油圧制動部28rfは、第1油圧配管24から供給される油圧によりホイールシリンダ30rfの位置が変動され、制動時は、第1油圧配管24から、ホイールシリンダ30rfに高い油圧が供給され、ブレーキパッド34rfとブレーキロータ32rfとを接触させることで、右フロントタイヤ14に制動力を付与する。油圧制動部28lrは、第1油圧配管24から供給される油圧によりホイールシリンダ30lrの位置が変動され、制動時は、第1油圧配管24から、ホイールシリンダ30lrに高い油圧が供給され、ブレーキパッド34lrとブレーキロータ32lrとを接触させることで、左リヤタイヤ16に制動力を付与する。油圧制動部28rrは、第2油圧配管26から供給される油圧によりホイールシリンダ30rrの位置が変動され、制動時は、第2油圧配管26から、ホイールシリンダ30rrに高い油圧が供給され、ブレーキパッド34rrとブレーキロータ32rrとを接触させることで、右リヤタイヤ18に制動力を付与する。
 次に、図2を用いてマスタシリンダ23について説明する。ここで、図2は、制動装置のマスタシリンダの概略構成を示す模式図である。図2に示すようにマスタシリンダ23は、シリンダ112、入力ピストン113と、加圧ピストン115と、第1スプリング138と、第2スプリング139と、リザーバタンク146とを有する。
 シリンダ112は、基端部が開口して先端部が閉塞した円筒形状をなし、内部に入力ピストン113と加圧ピストン115が同軸上に配置されて軸方向に沿って移動自在に支持されている。
 入力ピストン113は、外周面がシリンダ112の円筒形状をなす内周面に移動自在に支持されている。入力ピストン113は、基端部(シリンダ112の基端部側)に制動倍力装置22(図1参照)が連結されている。また、入力ピストン113は、先端側に、外周面がシリンダ112と接する円筒部と、円筒部の内部に配置された第1ピストン120が配置されている。第1ピストン120は、先端に他の部分よりも径が大きい円板が設けられている。つまり、第1ピストン120は、棒状の部材の一方の端部が入力ピストン113の基端部に連結され、他方の端部に円板が設けられた形状である。
 加圧ピストン115は、シリンダ112内にて、入力ピストン113の先端部側に配置されており、外周面がシリンダ112の内周面に移動自在に支持されている。この加圧ピストン115は、入力ピストン113側に、第1シリンダ122が設けられている。第1シリンダ122は、円筒状の部材であり、第1ピストン120の先端部、つまり円板が挿入されている。また、第1シリンダ122は、円筒の内径が第1ピストン120の円板と略同一径であり、また、入力ピストン113側の端部が、他の部分よりも径が小さくなっている。つまり、第1シリンダ122は、第1ピストン120の先端部が、抜けない形状となっている。このように、第1シリンダ122の基端側の領域と第1ピストン120とで形成された空間が第1室(第1液圧室)Rとなる。なお、第1室Rの軸に直交する方向の面積、つまり、第1シリンダ122の開口面積は、開口面積Aとなる。また、第1室Rは、図示しない配管を介して第1油圧配管24と接続している。
 次に、加圧ピストン115の先端側の形状は、入力ピストン113の先端部側と略同一形状であり、外周面がシリンダ112と接する円筒部と、円筒部の内部に配置された第2ピストン124が配置されている。第2ピストン124も、先端に他の部分よりも径が大きい円板が設けられている。
 次に、シリンダ112の円筒形状の内部の基端部、つまり、加圧ピストン115に向かい合う部分には、第2シリンダ126が設けられている。第2シリンダ126は、円筒状の部材であり、第2ピストン124の先端部、つまり円板が挿入されている。なお、第2シリンダ126は、シリンダ112に固定されている。また、第2シリンダ126も、円筒の内径が第2ピストン124の円板と略同一径であり、また、加圧ピストン115側の端部が、他の部分よりも径が小さくなっている。つまり、第2シリンダ126は、第2ピストン124の先端部が、抜けない形状となっている。このように、第2シリンダ126の基端側の領域と第2ピストン124とで形成された空間が第2室(第2液圧室)Rとなる。なお、第2室Rの軸に直交する方向の面積、つまり、第2シリンダ126の開口の面積は、Aとなる。なお、本実施形態では、開口面積Aは、開口面積Aと同一面積となる。また、第2室Rは、図示しない配管を介して第2油圧配管26と接続している。
 第1スプリング138は、入力ピストン113と加圧ピストン115との間に配置されている。具体的には、入力ピストン113の円筒部の内周と、加圧ピストン115の第1シリンダ122の外周に配置されている。第1スプリング138は、リターンスプリングであり、軸方向において、入力ピストン113と加圧ピストン115が離れる方向に付勢力を付与する。なお、第1スプリング138は、非線形のバネ特性を有するバネである。第1スプリング138のバネ特性については、後述する。
 第2スプリング139は、加圧ピストン115とシリンダ112の基端部との間に配置されている。具体的には、加圧ピストン115の円筒部の内周と、シリンダ112の第2シリンダ126の外周に配置されている。第2スプリング139も、リターンスプリングであり、軸方向において、加圧ピストン115とシリンダ112の基端部とが離れる方向に付勢力を付与する。
 リザーバタンク146は、作動油を貯留するタンクである。また、シリンダ112には、リリーフ配管155と、リリーフ配管159とが形成されている。リリーフ配管155は、入力ピストン113と加圧ピストン115との間の空間(第1スプリング138が配置されている空間)と、リザーバタンク146とを連結させている。また、リリーフ配管159は、加圧ピストン115とシリンダ112との間の空間(第2スプリング139が配置されている空間)と、リザーバタンク146とを連結させている。これにより、シリンダ112の内部の2つの空間には作動油が供給される。
 また、入力ピストン113とシリンダ112との接触部には、軸方向において、リリーフ配管155が作動油を上述した空間に供給する部分を挟むように、2つのシール部材163が配置されている。シール部材163は、入力ピストン113とシリンダ112との間から作動油が漏れることを抑制する。加圧ピストン115とシリンダ112との接触部には、軸方向において、リリーフ配管159が作動油を上述した空間に供給する部分を挟むように、2つのシール部材162が配置されている。シール部材162は、加圧ピストン115とシリンダ112との間から作動油が漏れることを抑制する。
 マスタシリンダ23は、以上のような構成であり、乗員がブレーキペダル21を踏むと、その操作力(踏力)が制動倍力装置22に伝達され、操作力が倍力されてマスタシリンダ23に伝達される。マスタシリンダ23では、入力ピストン113が第1スプリング138の付勢力に抗して前進すると、第1室Rが加圧される。すると、第1室Rの油圧が第1油圧配管24に吐出される。
 また、入力ピストン113が前進すると、入力ピストン113は、第1スプリング138及び第1室Rを介して加圧ピストン115を押圧し、加圧ピストン115が第2スプリング139の付勢力に抗して前進する。すると、第2室Rが加圧され、第2室Rの油圧が第2油圧配管26に吐出される。
 車両10は、以上のような構成であり、乗員がブレーキペダル21を踏むとマスタシリンダ23から第1油圧配管24及び第2油圧配管26に油圧が吐出される。これにより、マスタシリンダ23の第1室Rから吐出された油圧は、第1油圧配管24を介して、油圧制動部28rfと油圧制動部28lrに供給される。マスタシリンダ23の第2室Rから吐出された油圧は、第2油圧配管26を介して、油圧制動部28lfと油圧制動部28rrに供給される。このようにマスタシリンダ23から各油圧制動部に油圧が吐出されることで、各油圧制動部のブレーキロータにブレーキパッドが接触し、タイヤに制動力を付与する。これにより、車両10は、減速され、停止される。
 このように、車両10は、制動装置20により各タイヤに制動力が付与される。つまり、図3に示すように、左フロントタイヤ12には油圧制動部28lfにより制動力Fxlfが付与され、右フロントタイヤ14には油圧制動部28rfにより制動力Fxrfが付与され、左リヤタイヤ16には油圧制動部28lrにより制動力Fxlrが付与され、右リヤタイヤ18には油圧制動部28rrにより制動力Fxrrが付与される。ここで、図3は、制動時に車体に作用する力を説明するための説明図である。なお、制動時は、前輪により大きい制動力が付与される。つまり、制動力Fxlfと制動力Fxrfの方が、制動力Fxlrと制動力Fxrrよりも大きい力となる。ここで、制動力Fは、ブレーキパッドの受圧面積、ロータ径(ブレーキロータの径)、摩擦係数(ブレーキパッドとブレーキロータの摩擦係数、μ)、油圧の大きさ、タイヤ径に基づいて算出することができる。具体的には、F=((ブレーキパッドの受圧面積)×(ロータ径)×(摩擦係数)×(油圧)×2)/(タイヤ径)で算出することができる。
 車両10は、図3に示すように、運転手(ドライバ)が乗車した状態で、走行方向に直交する方向において、重心gは、中心(中央)よりも、右側(右タイヤ側)にずれた位置となる。このため、走行方向に直交する方向における、左側のタイヤ(左フロントタイヤ12と左リヤタイヤ16)と重心gとの距離はLwlとなり、右側のタイヤ(右フロントタイヤ14と右リヤタイヤ18)と重心gとの距離はLwrとなる。ここで、距離Lwlと距離Lwrとの関係は、Lwr<Lwlとなる。
 ここで、図3に示すように、重心gが中心にない車両10、つまり、一方向にずれている車両10が、ブレーキをかけると、回転モーメントMzが発生する。ここで、回転モーメントMzは、Mz=(Fxlf+Fxlr)×Lwl-(Fxrf+Fxrr)×Lwrとなる。ここで、(Fxlf+Fxlr)=(Fxrf+Fxrr)となるため、距離が長い(Fxlf+Fxlr)×Lwlの成分がより大きくなり、モーメントが発生する。なお、重心gのずれの距離が大きくなるほど発生するモーメントは大きくなる。このようにモーメントが発生するのに対して、第1室Rで発生する液圧と、第2室Rで発生する液圧とが、略同一の圧力となる液圧をマスタシリンダ23から出力させると、(Fxlf+Fxlr)と、(Fxrf+Fxrr)とが同じ値となるため、重心gが中心からずれている分、制動力が不均一となる。そのため、回転モーメントMzが発生するし、車両10が偏向してしまう。つまり曲がってしまう。
 これに対して、本実施形態の車両10は、制動時に、第1室Rで発生させる液圧と、第2室Rで発生させる液圧とを異なる液圧とすることで、回転モーメントMzの発生を抑制し、制動時に車両10が偏向することを抑制する。以下、図4から図7を用いて、車両10の制動装置20について、説明する。
 まず、図4を用いて、第2スプリング139について説明する。ここで、図4は、第2スプリングの荷重とストロークとの関係の一例を示すグラフである。なお、図4に示すグラフは、横軸をストロークとし、縦軸を荷重とした。また、ストロークとは、第2スプリング139の縮み量である。また、図4には、比較のため、第2スプリング139の荷重とストロークとの関係に加え、第1スプリング138と同じバネ特性を示す線分200と、第1スプリング138よりも変形しにくい(縮みにくい)バネ特性を示す線分202もあわせて示す。
 第2スプリング139は、図4に示す線分204のように、非線形のバネ特性を有するバネである。第2スプリング139は、図4の線分204に示すように、ストロークが一定以上となると、荷重に対するストローク量が小さくなる。つまり、第2スプリング139は、一定距離以上縮むと、それ以上は縮みにくくなる。ここで、本実施形態において、第2スプリング139の縮み量は、第2シリンダ126に対する第2ピストン124の移動量、つまり、第2シリンダ126と第2ピストン124との相対的な移動量となる。
 したがって、マスタシリンダ23は、入力ピストン113から外力が加わり、第1ピストン120と、加圧ピストン115と、第2ピストン124とが相対的に移動し、第1室Rと第2室Rの体積が減少し、第2室Rの体積が一定体積以下となったら、第2スプリング139が縮みにくくなる。このように、第2スプリング139が縮みにくくなると、入力される力に対する第2室Rの体積の減少量が少なくなる。これにより、相対的に、第2室Rの体積の減少量が第1室Rの体積の減少量よりも少なくなるため、第2室Rから排出される油圧が第1室Rから排出される油圧よりも低くなる。
 以上より、本実施形態の車両10は、図5に示す液圧を供給する。ここで、図5は、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との関係の一例を示すグラフである。なお、図5に示すグラフは、横軸を第1室の液圧(油圧)[MPa]とし、縦軸を第2室の液圧(油圧)[MPa]とした。ここで、図5に示す領域210は、ブレーキペダルの踏み込み量が少ない、つまり、マスタシリンダ23の入力ピストン113から係る外力が小さい領域であり、領域212は、ブレーキペダルの踏み込み量が多い、つまり、マスタシリンダ23の入力ピストン113から係る外力が大きい領域である。領域210では、第1室液圧、第2室液圧が共に低圧となり、領域212では、第1室液圧、第2室液圧が共に領域210よりも高圧となる。また、図5に示す太線214は、実際にブレーキペダル21を踏みこみその後、開放した場合の圧力変化の一例を示している。また、図5に示す点線216は、第1室液圧と第2室液圧とが1対1で変化する関係を示す線であり、直線218は、第1室液圧の変化率が第2室液圧の変化率よりも一定割合高い関係を示す線である。
 マスタシリンダ23は、ブレーキペダル21の踏みこみが少ない状態では、図5の領域210に太線214で示すように、第1室液圧と、第2室液圧とは、点線216で示す1対1に近い値となる。その後、マスタシリンダ23は、ブレーキペダル21の踏みこみが大きくなり、一定以上の踏み込み量、つまり、第2スプリング139のストローク量(縮み量)が一定以上となると、第2スプリング139が第1スプリング138に対して、受ける力に対する縮み量が少なくなる。このため、マスタシリンダ23は、ブレーキペダル21の踏みこみが一定以上となると、図5の領域212に太線214で示すように、第2室液圧よりも第1室液圧の方が大きくなる。つまり、第2室液圧の変化率よりも第1室液圧の変化率の方が大きくなる。これにより、領域212での第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比の差は、領域210での第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比の差よりも大きくなり、点線216よりも直線218に近い関係となる。なお、本実施形態では、第1室の圧力の方が第2室の圧力よりも高くなる。
 制動装置20及びそれを有する車両10は、図5に示すように、ブレーキペダル21の踏み込み量が一定以上(つまり、入力ピストン113の移動量が一定以上、すなわち、制動力が一定以上)となると、第2室Rよりも第1室Rの方がより高い液圧を供給する設定となっている。より具体的には、踏み込み量が一定以上となると、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比の差が、踏み込み量が一定未満の場合の第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比の差よりも大きくなる。
 次に、図6は、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との関係の他の例を示すグラフである。なお、図6に示すグラフも、横軸を第1室の液圧(油圧)[MPa]とし、縦軸を第2室の液圧(油圧)[MPa]とした。図6に示すグラフは、第2スプリングとして、バネ特性が図4に示す線分202の関係を満たすバネを用いた場合の例である。つまり、図6に示すグラフは、入力に対して、第2室Rで発生する液圧よりも第1室Rで発生する液圧の方がより高い液圧となり、かつ、第1室Rの液圧と第2室Rの液圧との比が一定となる設定の場合に、第1室Rと第2室Rとで発生する液圧、つまり第1油圧配管24と第2油圧配管26に吐出される油圧の関係を示すグラフである。また、太線220も、実際にブレーキペダル21を踏みこみその後、開放した場合の圧力変化の一例を示している。また、図6に示す点線216は、第1室液圧と第2室液圧とが1対1で変化する関係を示す線であり、直線218は、第1室液圧の変化率が第2室液圧の変化率よりも一定割合高い関係を示す線である。なお太線220は、直線218の関係を中心として、つまり直線218の比を基準として第1室Rの液圧と第2室Rの液圧との関係が変化する。図6に示すように、第1スプリングのバネ特性が図4に示す線分202に示すような線形の場合は、第2室Rよりも第1室Rの方がより高い液圧を供給することができる。
 制動装置20及びそれを有する車両10は、図5及び図6に示すように、マスタシリンダ23で油圧を発生させることで、制動力Fxrfと制動力Fxlrとを、制動力Fxlfと制動力Fxrrよりも相対的に大きくすることができる。これにより、(Fxrf+Fxrr)×Lwrの成分をより大きくし、(Fxlf+Fxlr)×Lwlの成分をより小さくすることができるため、発生する回転モーメントMzを小さくすることができる。また、(Fxrf+Fxrr)×Lwr=(Fxlf+Fxlr)×Lwlとなる液圧差にすることで、回転モーメントMzをより小さく、理想的には0にすることができる。
 このように、制動装置20及びそれを有する車両10は、第1室Rと第2室Rで発生させる液圧に差をつけることで、制動時に発生する回転モーメントMzを小さくすることができ、制動時に車両10が偏向することを抑制することができる。また、車両10及び制動装置20は、機械的な構造(つまり、基準の設定、初期設定として)で発生させる制動力に差を発生させている。このため、センサ等を用いて制動力を調整する場合では、制御することができない時間帯、つまり、制動初期(制動開始時に演算開始してから制動力の制御を開始するまでの間)も、回転モーメントMzを小さくすることができる。特に、軽い車両やホイールベースが短い車両の場合は、制動時の偏向が発生しやすくなるが、本実施形態のように、制動力に差を発生させることで、制動安定性を高くすることができる。
 さらに、本実施形態の制動装置20及びそれを有する車両10は、第2スプリング139が、図4の線分204に示す特性を有し、ブレーキペダルの踏み込み量に対して、図5の太線214に示す関係で第1室液圧、第2室液圧を発生させ、各油圧制動部に油圧を供給する。これにより、ブレーキペダルの踏み込み量が小さいとき、つまり、制動力が小さい場合は、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との差(比の差)を小さくし、制動力が大きい場合は、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との差(比の差)を大きくすることができる。
 ここで、図7は、制動装置の使用頻度と制動力との関係の一例を示すグラフである。なお、図7に示すグラフは、横軸を制動力(制動G)とし、縦軸を頻度とした。制動装置20は、図7に示すように、制動力が小さい制動動作、つまり、図5に示す領域210の範囲の液圧を発生させる制動動作は、頻繁に行う。また、制動装置20は、制動力が大きい制動動作、つまり、図5に示す領域212の範囲の液圧を発生させる制動動作は、一定の回数しか行われない。ここで、制動力が小さい制動動作は、スムーズな停止動作や、安定した走行時に予期した状態で行われる停止、減速動作であることが多い。これに対して、制動力が大きい制動動作は、急ブレーキ等の緊急時の動作であることが多い。このように、緊急時の動作であることが多く、急減速が伴うため、車両の挙動をより安定して制御する必要がある。このため、制動力が大きい制動動作は、制動安定性に対する影響が大きい制動安定性影響域230となる。
 また、制動力が小さい制動動作は、使用される回数が大きいため、制動装置、主にタイヤ、ブレーキパッド等の磨耗に対する影響が大きい。このため、制動力が小さい制動動作は、磨耗に対する影響が大きい磨耗影響域となる。なお、制動力が大きい制動動作は、使用される回数が少ないため、磨耗に対する影響は小さい。
 これにより、本実施形態の制動装置20及びそれを有する車両10は、第2スプリング139のバネ特性を非線形とし、磨耗影響域232、つまり図5の領域210では、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比を1対1に近い状態とすることで、制動装置の左右の対応する部品が不均一に磨耗することを抑制することができる。つまり、左右の対応する部品うち一方の部品のみが大きく磨耗する偏磨耗の発生を抑制することができる。また、本実施形態の制動装置20及びそれを有する車両10は、制動安定性影響域、つまり、領域212では、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との差(比の差)を大きくすることで、大きな制動力が発生させる場合に、左右で適切な制動力の差を発生させることができ、上述したように、制動時に発生する回転モーメントを小さくすることができる。これにより、制動動作を安定させることができる。
 以上より、本実施形態の制動装置20及びそれを有する車両10は、制動力が大きく、高い制動安定性が必要な状態では、制動安定性を高くすることができ、かつ、偏磨耗の発生も抑制することができる。つまり、制動安定性と偏磨耗の発生の抑制(装置耐久性の向上)を使用状態に合わせて、適正なバランスで実現することができる。
 ここで、上記実施形態では、第2スプリングを非線形バネとすることで、磨耗影響域232と制動安定性影響域230とで、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比の差が変化する設定としたが、本発明はこれに限定されない。制動装置は、磨耗影響域232と制動安定性影響域230とで、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比の差が変化する、つまり、一方の制動部と他方の制動部で発生させる制動力の比の差が変化する、種々の構成を用いることができる。以下、図8から図10を用いて、制動装置に用いるマスタシリンダの他の例を説明する。図8から図10は、それぞれ制動装置のマスタシリンダの概略構成の他の例を示す模式図である。また、図8から図10に示すマスタシリンダは、第2スプリングを非線形バネとすることに代わる構成を加えた点を除いて他の構成は、図2に示すマスタシリンダと同様の構成である。したがって、以下では、各図のマスタシリンダに特有の構成について説明する。なお、図8から図10に示すマスタシリンダの、第2スプリング139は、いずれも線形バネである。
 図8に示すマスタシリンダ302は、第2シリンダ126の内部に第3スプリング310を有する。第3スプリング310は、ホロースプリングであり、第2シリンダ126の内部に、第2シリンダ126に沿って配置されている。また、第3スプリング310は、第2シリンダ126と軸方向の長さよりも短い部材であり、一方の端部が第2ピストン124側に配置され、他方の端部が、シリンダ112の入力ピストン113側とは反対側の端部側に配置されている。
 マスタシリンダ302は、入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダル21が踏み込まれると、第1ピストン120と第1シリンダ122とが相対的に移動する。以下、第2室Rの体積が最大の状態から小さくなる方向に移動する場合として説明する。第3スプリング310は、第2室Rの体積が減少しても第2室Rの体積が一定体積となるまで、第2ピストン124の移動方向に力を作用させない状態で、第2シリンダ126内の第2ピストン124とシリンダ112との間に配置されている。なお、マスタシリンダ302は、第2室Rの体積を減少させると共に、第1室Rの体積も減少させる。これにより、上述したように所定の液圧を排出する。
 その後、マスタシリンダ302は、第2室Rの体積が一定体積以下となると、第3スプリング310が、両端がそれぞれ第2ピストン124とシリンダ112とに接触する。その後、さらに入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダル21が踏み込まれると、第3スプリング310は、徐々に縮む。なお、この時、第3スプリング310は、第2ピストン124と第2シリンダ126との相対的な移動に対する抵抗となる。これにより、マスタシリンダ302は、第2室Rの体積が一定体積以下となると、第2室Rの体積の減少量に対して、第1室Rの体積の減少量を多くすることができる。
 このように、マスタシリンダ302のように、第3スプリング310を設けることでも、つまり、バネを多段で設ける構成とすることでも、上述と同様に、ブレーキペダル21の踏み込み量が一定以上となったら、つまり、制動力が一定以上となったら、液圧の比の差をより大きくすることができる。つまり、制動力の差を大きくすることができる。
 図9に示すマスタシリンダ320は、第2シリンダ326が、内面のシリンダ112側(第2ピストン124側とは反対側)の領域324の面粗さ(面粗度)を、入力ピストン113(第1ピストン120)側の領域の面粗さよりも粗い構成となっている。
 マスタシリンダ320は、入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダル21が踏み込まれると、第2ピストン124と第2シリンダ326とが相対的に移動する。以下、第1室Rの体積が最大の状態から小さくなる方向に移動する場合として説明する。マスタシリンダ320は、入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダルが踏み込まれると、第2ピストン124と第2シリンダ326とが摺動しながら、相対的に移動し、第2室Rの体積が減少する。なお、マスタシリンダ320は、第2室Rの体積を減少させると共に、第1室Rの体積も減少させる。これにより、上述したように所定の液圧を排出する。
 その後、マスタシリンダ320は、第2室Rの体積が一定体積以下となると、第2ピストン124の先端が、第2シリンダ326の領域324と接触する。その後、さらに入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダル21が踏み込まれると、第2ピストン124の先端が、第2シリンダ326の領域324と接触しながら、移動する。この時、領域324は、他の領域よりも面粗さが粗いため、第2ピストン124と第2シリンダ326との相対的な移動に対する抵抗となる。これにより、マスタシリンダ320は、第2室Rの体積が一定体積以下となると、第2室Rの体積の減少量に対して、第1室Rの体積の減少量を多くすることができる。
 このように、マスタシリンダ320のように、第2シリンダ326の第2ピストン124との接触面の面粗さを領域毎に変えることでも、上述と同様に、ブレーキペダルの踏み込み量が一定以上となったら、つまり、制動力が一定以上となったら、液圧の比の差をより大きくすることができる。つまり、制動力の差を大きくすることができる。
 図10に示すマスタシリンダ340は、第2シリンダ342が、シリンダ112側に、入力ピストン113(第2ピストン124)側よりも径が短くなる突起344を設ける構成となっている。なお、突起344は、変形可能な形状であり、第2ピストン124の通過の抵抗となるが、第2ピストン124を移動不可能にはしない。つまり、第2ピストン124は、突起344と接触しつつ、第2シリンダ342に対してシリンダ112側に移動することができる。
 マスタシリンダ340は、入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダル21が踏み込まれると、第2ピストン124と第2シリンダ342とが相対的に移動する。以下、第2室Rの体積が最大の状態から小さくなる方向に移動する場合として説明する。マスタシリンダ340は、入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダル21が踏み込まれると、第2ピストン124と第2シリンダ342とが摺動しながら、相対的に移動し、第2室Rの体積が減少する。なお、マスタシリンダ340は、第2室Rの体積を減少させると共に、第1室Rの体積も減少させる。これにより、上述したように所定の液圧を排出する。
 その後、マスタシリンダ340は、第2室Rの体積が一定体積以下となると、第2ピストン124の先端が、第2シリンダ342の突起344と接触する。その後、さらに入力ピストン113から外力が作用されると、つまりブレーキペダルが踏み込まれると、第2ピストン124の先端が、第2シリンダ342の突起344と接触しながら、移動する。この時、突起344は、他の領域よりも第2シリンダ342の径を小さくしているため、第2ピストン124と第2シリンダ342との相対的な移動に対する抵抗となる。これにより、マスタシリンダ340は、第2室Rの体積が一定体積以下となると、第2室Rの体積の減少量に対して、第1室Rの体積の減少量を多くすることができる。
 このように、マスタシリンダ340のように、第2シリンダ342の第2ピストン124との接触面に突起部を設けることでも、上述と同様に、ブレーキペダル21の踏み込み量が一定以上となったら、つまり、制動力が一定以上となったら、液圧の比の差をより大きくすることができる。つまり、制動力の差を大きくすることができる。なお、突起部の形状は特に限定されない。また形状も特に限定されない。
 なお、上記実施形態では、車両を構成する4つの車輪の制動力から回転モーメントMzを算出し、ドライバが乗車している場合に発生する回転モーメントMzを抑制する液圧差を算出したが、制動力がより大きくなる前輪のみで回転モーメントMzを抑制する液圧差を算出してもよい。つまり、式、Mz=Fxlf×Lwl-Fxrf×Lwrを用いて、Fxlf×Lwl=Fxrf×Lwrとなる、制動力の関係を算出し、その関係に基づいて液圧差を設定してもよい。
 また、制動装置は、磨耗影響域(制動力、液圧が低い領域)では、第1室と第2室の液圧差が発生しない、つまり、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との関係が1対1となる設定とすることが好ましい。このように、磨耗影響域では、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との関係を1対1とすることで、偏磨耗の発生をより確実に抑制することができる。
 また、制動装置は、上記実施形態のように、入力ピストン側の液圧室(本実施形態では第1室R)をより高い液圧を発生させる液圧室とすることが好ましい。つまり、より高い液圧を発生させる必要がある液圧室を、入力ピストンに近い側に配置することが好ましい。これにより、構造上、液圧が高くなりやすい側の液圧室を、より高い液圧を発生させる液圧室とすることができるため、より簡単な構成で、該当する液圧室で高い液圧を発生させることができる。なお、より高い液圧を発生させる液圧室は、基本的に、車両の前輪のうち、重心に近い側のタイヤに制動力を作用させる液圧を供給する液圧室である。なお、上述したような効果を得ることができるため、液圧を供給する液圧室とタイヤ(油圧制動部)との関係は、本実施形態のようにすることが好ましいが、逆にしてもよい。
 また、制動装置は、上記実施形態のように、液圧が相対的により低くなる液圧室に、液圧室の体積が減少しにくくなる構成(非線形バネ、多段バネ、抵抗)を設けることが好ましい。これにより、簡単な構成で液圧を変化させることができる。なお、本実施形態はこれに限定されず、液圧が相対的に高くなる液圧室に液圧室の体積が減少しやすくなる。つまり、ピストンの移動の抵抗が小さくなる構成としてもよい。例えば、ピストンが移動したら、摺動抵抗が小さくなるような構成としてもよい。
 また、制動装置は、第1室と第2室の液圧差、つまり制動力差が常に発生する設定とし、かつ、制動力が一定以上となったら、第1室と第2室の液圧差がより大きく、つまり、第1室液圧と第2室液圧との比の差がより大きくなるようにしてもよい。このように、常に液圧差が発生する設定とした場合は、磨耗影響域での制動安定性を高くすることができる。なお、この場合も液圧差(または液圧の比の差)を小さくすることで、偏磨耗の発生を抑制することができる。
 なお、第1室と第2室の液圧差を常に発生させる場合、液圧差(つまり制動力差)は、第1スプリング138のスプリング荷重をG、第2スプリング139のスプリング荷重をG、加圧ピストン115とシリンダ112との摺動抵抗をN、第1シリンダ122と第2シリンダ126の面積をAとしたら、液圧差((第1室の液圧)-(第2室の液圧))=(G-G+N)/Aで算出することができる。つまり、液圧差は、第1スプリング138、第2スプリング139のスプリング荷重と、加圧ピストン115とシリンダ112との摺動抵抗とにより調整することができる。
 また、上記実施形態では、第1シリンダ122の開口面積Aと、第2シリンダ126の開口面積Aとを同一面積としたが、2つの開口面積によっても、液圧差を調整することができる。なお、マスタシリンダ23の第1室Rで発生させる液圧と、第2室Rで発生させる液圧を異なる液圧とする方法は、これにも種々の方法を用いることができる。
 また、上記実施形態では、制御がしやすく、車両バランスへの影響を少なくできるため、マスタシリンダから供給する液圧差、油圧の差で制動力差を設けることが好ましいが、制動力差を常に発生させる設定は、これに限定されない。制動力差は、制動力に影響がある各種条件を左右(走行方向に直交する方向において、重心から近い方と、遠い方)で異なる設定とすることで、発生させることができる。具体的には、ブレーキパッドの受圧面積、ロータ径、摩擦係数、タイヤ径を左右で異なる値とすることで、制動力差を発生させることができる。なお、タイヤ径は、異なるタイヤ径とすると、走行性が低下するため、タイヤ径以外の対象を調整することが好ましい。
 ここで、上記実施形態では、運転手(ドライバ)のみが車両に乗車している状態、つまり、1名のみが車両に乗車している状態を想定して、第1室と第2室とで発生させる液圧差、つまり、車両の右側のタイヤで発生させる制動力と、車両の左側のタイヤで発生させる制動力との差(「制動力差」ともいう。)を決定したが、制動力差は、種々の重心位置を想定して算出することが好ましい。このように、種々の重心位置、つまり種々の使用状態を想定して、制動力差を設定することで、いずれの使用状態でも、発生する回転モーメントMzを小さくすることができる。ここで、種々の重心位置を想定して制動力差を算出する場合は、発生する回転モーメントMzが設定された範囲内となるように制動力差を設定することが好ましい。これにより、いずれの場合でも制動時に発生する回転モーメントMzを一定範囲内(略同じ)とすることができる。これにより使用状態によらず、同様の条件で走行を行うことができる。
 また、車両10は、1名乗車の場合と2名乗車との場合で、回転モーメントMzが略同じ(または同一)となる制動力差に設定することが好ましい。このように、1名乗車と2名乗車との場合を加味することで、車両の右側と左側とで、乗車人数が同じ場合と、一名違う場合とを想定することができる。これにより、3名乗車、4名乗車の場合も重心バランスは略同じとなり、回転モーメントMzが大きく発生する使用状態の発生を抑制することができる。
 以上のように、本発明にかかる制動装置及び車両は、走行中の車両を減速させるのに有用である。

Claims (10)

  1.  車体に回転自在に配置された第1タイヤと第2タイヤに制動力を付与する駆動装置であって、
     液圧を供給する第1液圧室と第2液圧室とを備えたマスタシリンダと、
     前記第1液圧室と前記第2液圧室とに外力を付与するピストンと、
     前記第1液圧室から供給された液圧に基づいて第1タイヤに制動力を作用させる第1油圧制動部と、
     前記第2液圧室から供給された液圧に基づいて第2タイヤに制動力を作用させる第2油圧制動部と、を有し、
     前記マスタシリンダは、前記ピストンのストローク量が大きくなると、前記第1液圧室の圧力と前記第2液圧室の圧力との比の差が、前記ピストンのストローク量が小さい場合の圧力の比の差よりも大きくなることを特徴とする制動装置。
  2.  前記マスタシリンダは、前記ピストンのストローク量が設定された値よりも小さい状態では、前記第1液圧室の圧力と前記第2液圧室の圧力が同じ圧力となることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の制動装置。
  3.  前記マスタシリンダは、前記ピストンから外力が付与されると、前記第1液圧室の圧力と前記第2液圧室との圧力が異なる圧力となることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の制動装置。
  4.  前記マスタシリンダは、前記第1液圧室及び前記第2液圧室の少なくとも一方に、非線形のバネ特性を備えるリターンスプリング、または、多段バネを有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の制動装置。
  5.  前記マスタシリンダは、前記ピストンの移動に対して前記第1液圧室内で発生する摺動抵抗と、前記ピストンの移動に対して前記第2液圧室内で発生する摺動抵抗とが、前記ピストンのストローク量によって変化することを特徴とする請求項2から4のいずれか1項に記載の制動装置。
  6.  前記マスタシリンダは、前記第1液圧室が前記第2液圧室よりも前記ピストンから外力の入力側の端部により近い側に配置され、
     前記第2液圧室は、前記ピストンのストローク量が大きくなると、液圧室の体積が減少しにくくなる抵抗要素が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の制動装置。
  7.  車体と、
     前記車体に制動力を作用させる制動装置と、を有し、
     前記制動装置は、運転手が乗車した状態で、前記車体の進行方向に直交する方向において、重心に近い側の制動力が、重心に遠い側の制動力よりも大きくなる設定であり、
     前記制動装置は、前記制動力が大きくなると、重心に近い側の制動力と重心に遠い側の制動力との比の差が、前記制動力が小さい場合の重心に近い側の制動力と重心に遠い側の制動力との比の差よりも大きくなることを特徴とする車両。
  8.  前記車体の重心に近い側に回転自在に配置された第1タイヤと、前記車体の重心に遠い側に回転自在に配置された第2タイヤとをさらに有し、
     前記制動装置は、液圧を供給する第1液圧室と第2液圧室とを備えたマスタシリンダと、
     前記第1液圧室から供給された液圧に基づいて第1タイヤに制動力を作用させる第1油圧制動部と、
     前記第2液圧室から供給された液圧に基づいて第2タイヤに制動力を作用させる第2油圧制動部と、を有し、
     前記制動力が大きくなると、前記第1液圧室の圧力が前記第2液圧室の圧力よりも高くなるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の車両。
  9.  前記マスタシリンダは、前記第1液圧室を構成する第1ピストン及び第1シリンダと、前記第1ピストンを支持する第1スプリングと、前記第2液圧室を構成する第2ピストン及び第2シリンダと、前記第2ピストンを支持する第2スプリングとを有し、
     前記第1スプリング及び前記第2スプリングの少なくとも一方が非線形のバネ特性を有し、前記制動力が大きくなると、前記第2スプリングが前記第1スプリングよりもバネ定数が大きくなることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の車両。
  10.  前記第1タイヤ及び前記第2タイヤは、前記車体の進行方向において、前方にあることを特徴とする請求項8または9に記載の車両。
