Abstract

 車両逆走検出装置は、地図情報を記憶する地図情報記憶部と、地図情報記憶部が記憶している地図情報に基づいて、自車両の走行方向の前方にある接続点を判定ポイントに設定する判定ポイント設定部と、判定ポイントに接続されている複数の道路のうちいずれか少なくとも一つの道路に対して逆走判定エリアを設定する逆走判定エリア設定部と、判定ポイントに接続されている一方向通行道路に対して設定されている進行方向と自車両の走行方向とに基づいて、自車両が一方向通行道路を逆走しているか否かを判定する逆走判定部とを備える。
