　特許文献１に開示された発明に係るパンツ型の着用物品は、サイドシーム部の上端部と下端部との間にシール幅の最も狭い接合部（最小幅接合部）が配置されており、各接合部のシール幅が、上端部及び下端部から最小幅接合部に向かって漸次狭くなるように設定されている。これにより、おむつの使用後において、上下端部が一定の接合強度を有するとともに、上下端部のうちの一方の端部を引き裂けば中央部は比較的に接合強度が低くなっているため、スムーズな引き裂きが可能となる。
　本発明の課題は、従来のパンツ型の着用物品の改良であって、サイドシーム部が所定の接合強度を有するとともに、着用中にその下端部の接合が不容易に解除されるおそれのないパンツ型の使い捨て着用物品の提供にある。
　前記課題を解決するために、本発明が対象とするのは、縦軸及びそれに直交する横軸と、前ウエスト域と、後ウエスト域と、前記前後ウエスト域間に位置するクロッチ域と、ウエスト開口と、前記前後ウエスト域の両側縁部を互いに接合するためのサイドシーム部とを含むパンツ型の使い捨て着用物品である。
　本発明の特徴とするところは、前記サイドシーム部が、前記縦軸の方向に間欠的に配列された複数の接合部から形成され、かつ、前記ウエスト開口の縁部寄りに位置する上端部と、前記クロッチ域寄りに位置する下端部とを有しており、前記各接合部の面積がほぼ同じであって、前記下端部の横軸の方向における長さ寸法が、前記上端部の横軸の方向における長さ寸法よりも大きいことにある。
　本発明は、前記特徴とする構成のほかに、以下の好ましい実施の態様を含む。
（１）前記サイドシーム部の前記下端部において、前記横軸方向の外方から内方へ向かうにつれて、その縦軸の方向における長さ方向が次第に小さくなっている。
（２）前記サイドシーム部が、前記上端部と前記下端部との間に位置する中央部を有し、前記前後ウエスト域の前記両側縁部が、前記ウエスト開口の縁部寄りに位置する、非伸縮性の外面シートから形成された非伸縮域と、前記非伸縮域の下方に位置する、前記外面シートと伸縮性の内面シートとから形成された第１伸縮域と、前記第１伸縮域の下方に位置し、前記内外面シートとそれに接合された伸縮性を有するレッグ弾性要素とから形成された第２伸縮域とを有し、前記上端部が前記非伸縮域に形成され、前記中央部が前記第１伸縮域に形成され、前記下端部が前記第２伸縮域に形成されている。
（３）前記非伸縮域における前記上端部の前記接合部の面積率が、前記第１伸縮域における前記中央部の前記接合部の面積率および前記第２伸縮域における前記下端部の前記接合部の面積率よりも低い。
（４）前記接合部が、前記縦軸に対して傾斜しており、かつ、上方から下方に向かうにつれて次第に幅広になる形状を有している。
　本発明の着用物品によれば、サイドシーム部を形成する各接合部の面積がほぼ同じであって、下端部の横軸の方向における長さ寸法が、上端部の横軸の方向における長さ寸法よりも大きいので、所要の大きさを有するウエスト開口を形成して着用操作が容易となるとともに、クロッチ域のレッグ開口縁部が着用者の肌にフィットし、また、着用中に、不用意に下端部の接合が解かれるおそれはない。

＜第１実施形態＞
　図１は、本発明に係るパンツ型の使い捨て着用物品の一例として示す、使い捨ておむつ１０の斜視図、図２は、おむつ１０の一部破断展開平面図、図３は、おむつ１０の分解斜視図、図４は、図２のＩＶ－ＩＶ線模式断面図である。なお、図２において、おむつ１０の縦軸はＰ、横軸はＱで示されており、おむつ１０は、縦軸Ｐに関して対称である。
　おむつ１０は、縦方向Ｙ及びそれに直交する横方向Ｘと、肌当接面側及びそれに対向する非肌当接面側と、おむつ１０の外形を形成するシャーシ１１と、シャーシ１１の肌当接面側に位置する吸液性構造体１２とを含む。
　おむつ１０は前ウエスト域１３と、後ウエスト域１４と、前後ウエスト域１３，１４間に位置するクロッチ域１５と、互いに縦方向Ｙにおいて対向し、横方向Ｘへ延びる前後端部１６，１７と、互いに横方向Ｘにおいて対向して、縦方向Ｙへ延びる両側縁部１８，１９とを有する。
　両側縁部１８，１９は、着用者の大腿部に沿ってフィットするようにクロッチ域１５において凹曲状に形成されている。また、前ウエスト域１３の前側縁部２２，２３と後ウエスト域１４の後側縁部２４，２５とは両側縁部１８，１９の一部をなしており、おむつ１０の前後方向において互いに対向する側縁部どうしが縦方向Ｙへ間欠的に延びるサイドシーム部２６によって連結されて、ウエスト開口２７及び一対のレッグ開口２８が形成されている（図１参照）。サイドシーム部２６では、熱又は超音波によるエンボス加工によって形成され、かつ、間欠的に配置された複数の凹状の接合部２９によって、互いに重なり合うシートどうしが融着されている。
　シャーシ１１は、非肌当接面側に位置し、前ウエスト域１３とクロッチ域１５の一部を形成する略台形状の第１外面シート３０と、後ウエスト域１４とクロッチ域１５の一部を形成する略台形状の第２外面シート３１と、前ウエスト域１３において横方向Ｘに延び、第１外面シート３０の肌対向面に接合された第１内面シート３２と、後ウエスト域１４において横方向Ｘへ延び、第２外面シート３１の肌対向面に接合された第２内面シート３３と、第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１との間に位置し、クロッチ域１５の中央部を形成する略矩形の中間シート３４とを有する。
　図４に示すとおり、第１外面シート３０と第１内面シート３２とは、ホットメルト接着剤４１を介して互いに接合されて第１積層シート３７が形成されている。第２内面シート３３は第１内面シート３２よりも幅狭であって、第２外面シート３１と第２内面シート３３とはホットメルト接着剤４２を介して互いに接合されることで、第２積層シート３８が形成されている。また、中間シート３４は、非肌対向面に位置する略矩形の繊維不織布シート３９と、肌対向面に位置する、繊維不織布シート３９とほぼ同形同大の透湿性かつ不透液性のプラスチックシート４０とがホットメルト接着剤（図示せず）を介して接合されて形成されている。
　シャーシ１１は、後ウエスト域１４の横軸方向Ｘの中央部に配置された、非肌対向面に外部から視認可能なグラフィック（図示せず）などが印刷されている、プラスチック材料から形成されたグラフィック表示フィルム４４と、シャーシ１１の肌対向面において、クロッチ域１５を中心として前後ウエスト域１３，１４に延びる繊維不織布製の固定シート４５とをさらに有する。固定シート４５は、中間シート３４よりも幅広であって、クロッチ域１５の中央部において、中間シート３４の肌対向面の全体を被覆している。
　前ウエスト域１３の前端縁部１６沿い（ウエスト開口縁部２７ａ）では、第１外面シート３０が内方へ向かって折り返されており、折り返しによって形成された前折曲部４６内には、ストランド状の複数のエラストマーからなる第１ウエスト弾性要素４７が収縮可能に配設されている。また、後ウエスト域１４の後端縁部１７沿い（ウエスト開口縁部２７ａ）では、第２外面シート３１が内方へ向かって折り返されており、折り返しによって形成された後折曲部４８内には、ストランド状の複数のエラストマーからなる第２ウエスト弾性要素４９が収縮可能に配設されている。
　前ウエスト域１３の下端部およびクロッチ域１５の前ウエスト域１３寄りの側縁部（レッグ開口縁部２８ａ）沿いには、第１外面シート３０の内面に固定されたテープ状のエラストマーからなる前レッグ弾性要素５０Ｒ，５０Ｌが収縮可能に配設されている。また、後ウエスト域１４の下端部およびクロッチ域１５の後ウエスト域１４寄りの側縁部（レッグ開口縁部２８ａ）沿いには、第２外面シート３１の内面に固定されたテープ状のエラストマーからなる後レッグ弾性要素５１Ｒ，５１Ｌが収縮可能に配設されている。前レッグ弾性要素５０Ｒ，５０Ｌの一部及び後レッグ弾性要素５１Ｒ，５１Ｌは、その外面に塗布されたホットメルト接着剤（図示せず）を介して固定シート４５に固定されている。
　第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１は、見掛けの厚さが、約０．３～０．５ｍｍ，質量が約１５～４０ｇ／ｍ２、好ましくは、約２５～３５ｇ／ｍ２、繊維密度が約０．０６～０．１ｇ／ｃｍ３、好ましくは、約０．０７～０．０９ｇ／ｃｍ３の範囲である、熱融着性のスパンボンド不織布からなる実質的に弾性非伸縮性の繊維不織布から形成されている。第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１は、それぞれ複数層から形成されていてもよいが、その場合には、少なくともその外面に位置する繊維層が捲縮するスパンボンドフィラメント繊維から形成することもできる。また、第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１を第１及び第２内面シート３２，３３よりも低い弾性伸縮性を有する繊維不織布から形成してもよい。
　第１及び第２内面シート３２，３３は、見掛けの厚さが約０．９～１．０ｍｍ，質量が約２０～５０ｇ／ｍ２、好ましくは、約３０～４０ｇ／ｍ２、繊維密度が約０．０１～０．０４ｇ／ｃｍ３、好ましくは、約０．０２５～０．０３５ｇ／ｃｍ３の範囲である、熱融着性のエラストマー繊維からなる弾性的に伸縮性のエアスルー繊維（ステープル）不織布やスパンボンド繊維不織布から形成されている。
　また、第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１の伸縮率は、約１００～１５０％、第１及び第２内面シート３２，３３の伸縮率は約１５０～３００％であって、第１及び第２内面シート３２，３３は横方向Ｘへ約２．０～３．０倍に伸張させた状態でホットメルト接着剤を介して第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１と接合されている。
　なお、第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１と第１及び第２内面シート３２，３３とを接合するためのホットメルト接着剤４１，４２には、公知の各種の接着剤を制限なく用いることができるが、第１及び第２内面シート３２，３３の伸縮性を阻害しないようにするために、質量が約１．０～５．０ｇ／ｍ２の範囲であって、ゴム系の接着剤、たとえば、ＳＢＳ（スチレン－ブタジエン－スチレン）系、ＳＩＳ（スチレン－イソプレン－スチレン）系の接着剤を用いることが好ましい。また、ホットメルト接着剤４１，４２の塗布パターンには、Ω状、スパイラル状、ドット状、波状などの公知の各種パターンを採用することができる。
　中間シート３４及び固定シート４５は、第１及び第２外面シート３０，３１と同様に、スパンボンド繊維不織布から形成してもよいし、非伸縮性のエアスルー繊維不織布などから形成してもよい。
　吸液性構造体１２は、前後端縁とそれらに直交する両側縁とによって画成された、クロッチ域１５を中心として前後ウエスト域１３，１４に延びる縦長方形状であって、肌当接面側に位置する透液性のトップシート５３と、フラッフパルプと超吸収性ポリマー粒子等との混合からなる吸液性コアを液拡散性シート（図示せず）で覆うことによって形成された吸液性芯材５５と、非肌当接面側に位置し、吸液性芯材全体を被包する被覆シート５６と、吸液性芯材５５と被覆シート５６との間に位置するプラスチック材料から形成された防漏シート５７とを含む。
　被覆シート５６は、吸液性芯材５５の両側縁から横方向Ｘの外側に延びる両側部を有している。両側部には、その一部を内方へ向かって折り返すことによって形成された、縦軸Ｐの方向へ延びる一対のスリーブ状のサイドフラップ５８Ｒ，５８Ｌが形成されており、サイドフラップ５８Ｒ，５８Ｌ内には、縦方向Ｙに延びるエラストマーからなるストランド状の４条の弾性要素５９，６０がホットメルト接着剤を介して収縮可能に接合されている。弾性要素５９，６０のうちの外側に位置する２本の弾性要素５９ａ，６０ａは、クロッチ域１５の中央部に配置されており、第１及び第２レッグ弾性要素５０Ｒ，５０Ｌ，５１Ｒ，５１Ｌとともに、着用時に着用者の鼠径部に沿って延びる弾性帯を形成している。また、弾性要素５９，６０のうちの内側に位置する２本の弾性要素５９ｂ，６０ｂがサイドフラップ５８Ｒ，５８Ｌ内において前後ウエスト域１３，１４へ延びており、被覆シート５６の両側部は、弾性要素５９，６０の収縮作用によって、トップシート５３から離間してバリア又はガスケットカフを形成し、排泄物の横漏れを防止することができる。
　吸液性構造体１２の非肌当接面の全体又はその一部は、ホットメルト接着剤（図示せず）を介してシャーシ１１の肌対向面に固定されている。また、吸液性構造体１２の後端部は、第２内面シート３３と第２外面シート３１との間に位置している。このように、吸液性構造体１２の後端部が、第２外面シート３１と第２内面シート３３の間に位置しているので、吸液性構造体１２の後端部から排泄物が漏れ出るのを防止することができる。
　なお、第１及び第２内面シート３２，３３は、前後ウエスト域１３，１４のみならず、クロッチ域１５へ延長して配置されていてもよい。また、肌対向面に固定シート４５を配置せず、シャーシ１１全体を、おむつ１０の外形を形成する、一連に延びる外面シートと内面シートとによって形成し、おむつ１０全体が伸縮性を有していてもよい。
　図５は、図１の一点鎖線Ｖで囲んだ領域の一部拡大図である。なお、説明の便宜上、図５では、第１内面シート３２、第１レッグ弾性要素５０Ｌを破線で示している。また、後ウエスト域１４は、前ウエスト域１３と基本的に同様の構成を有しているが、以降においては、前ウエスト域１３についてのみ説明をする。
　図５に示すとおり、サイドシーム部２６は、説明の便宜上、ウエスト開口縁部２７ａ寄りの上端部７１と、レッグ開口縁部２８ａ寄りの下端部７２と、上下端部７１，７２間に位置する中央部７３とに区分されている。
　上端部７１は、おむつ１０の側縁部１９において、第１外面シート３０の前折曲部４６からなる非伸縮域６３に形成されており、中央部７３は、第１外面シート３０と伸縮性を有する第１内面シート３２とが存在する第１伸縮域６４に形成されており、下端部７２は、第１内外面シート３０，３２と第１レッグ弾性要素５０Ｒとが重なってなる第２伸縮域６５に形成されている。各部７１，７２，７３の縦方向Ｙの長さ寸法について言えば、具体的には、おむつ１０の側縁部１９の縦方向Ｙにおける長さｌ１が約１００ｍｍの場合において（標準的な子供用のおむつのＬサイズ）、上端部７１の長さ寸法ｌ２は約１０～３０ｍｍ、中央部７３の長さ寸法ｌ３は約８０～５０ｍｍ、下端部７２の長さ寸法ｌ４は約１０～４０ｍｍである。
　図示されているように、各部７１，７２，７３における各接合部２９は、実質的に同形・同面積であって、縦方向Ｙ及び横方向Ｘに間欠的に配置されており、それら接合部２９どうしの縦方向Ｙにおける離間寸法は、上端部７１における離間寸法が中央部７３の離間寸法よりも大きく、中央部７３と下端部７２とにおける離間寸法はほぼ同じである。これにより、下端部７２と中央部７３とが、一定の接合面積を有する一方、ウエスト開口縁部２７ａ寄りの上端部７１の接合面積が中央部７３と下端部７２とのそれよりも小さくなるので、おむつ１０を着用者の身体から外す際に、側縁部１９を上端部７１から引き裂き易くなる。また、各接合部２９が、縦方向Ｙ及び横方向Ｘに連続しておらず、間欠的に配置されていることによって、おむつ１０の側縁部１９は、縦方向Ｙへジグザグ状に引き裂かれるので、上端部７１又は下端部７２の一部の接合が解かれていたとしても、おむつ１０の着用中に、不用意にサイドシーム部２６の接合が広範囲に亘って解かれるおそれはない。
　具体的には、上端部７１における各接合部２９どうしの縦方向Ｙにおける離間寸法は、約２．０～６．０ｍｍ、中央部７３及び下端部７２における各接合部２９どうしの縦方向Ｙにおける離間寸法は、約０．５～４．０ｍｍであることが好ましい。
　また、下端部７２では、上端部７１及び中央部７３に比して接合部２９が密集しており、上端部７１及び中央部７３よりもおむつ１０の横方向Ｘにおいて長さ寸法が大きくなっている。すなわち、上端部７１と中央部７３とは、横方向Ｘから見て、千鳥状に配置された、縦方向Ｙに２列に延びる複数の接合部２９から形成されているのに対し、下端部７２は、該２列を含む、縦方向Ｙに延びる複数列から形成されている。このように、上端部７１よりも下端部７２が幅広であることから、ウエスト開口縁部２７ａにおける胴周り寸法よりもレッグ開口縁部２８ａ寄りの部位の胴周り寸法が小さくなっていることによって、着用者の脚周りにおむつ１０がフィットして排泄物の横漏れを防止することができるとともに、ウエスト開口２７は所要の大きさを有し、おむつ１０の着用操作を容易に行うことができる。
　本実施形態のおむつ１０では、上端部７１及び中央部７３の接合部２９の横方向Ｘにおける幅寸法Ｗ１は約０．５～５．５ｍｍ、下端部７２の横方向Ｘにおける幅寸法Ｗ２は、約３．０～６．０ｍｍである。また、各部７１，７２，７３の接合部２９の各領域６３，６４，６５の所定幅（６ｍｍ）における面積率は、上端部７１が約３．４～４．０％、中央部７３が約４．４～５．０％、下端部７２が約７．５～９．０％であることが好ましい。
　このように、各接合部２９の面積がほぼ同じであって、下端部７２が上端部７１よりも幅広であることから、通常、上端部７１と下端部７２とが同じ積層状態におけるシート部材から形成されている場合には、下端部７２が他の部位７１，７３に比して高い接合強度を有するものといえる。レッグ開口縁部２８ａ寄りの下端部７２は、着用者の足繰りの動きによって皺が寄り易く、シートどうしの接合が解除されやすいところ、下端部７３が比較的に高い接合強度を有する場合には、不用意にその接合が解除されることはない。なお、本実施形態では、ウレタンなどの弾性材料から形成された第１レッグ弾性要素５０Ｌが、第１内面シート３２と第１外面シート３０との間に配置され、かつ、それらに接合されているので、各接合部２９においてシートどうしが互いに圧着、融着され難く、上端部７１に比して下端部７２における接合強度が低くなる。しかし、下端部７２において、下端部７２が上端部７１より幅広であって接合面積が大きくなっていることから、下端部３２は所要の接合強度を有し、着用中において該部位の接合が解かれるおそれはない。
　具体的には、公知の引張試験機を用いて測定した場合における、単位面積（１インチ）当たりの各部７１，７２，７３の接合強度は、上端部７１が１０～２５Ｎ／ｉｎｃｈ、中央部７３が８～１８Ｎ／ｉｎｃｈ，下端部７２が１０～３５Ｎ／ｉｎｃｈである。
　下端部７２は、中央部７３から内方に向かって下方へ傾斜しており、下方に向かうにつれ次第に幅広になる形状を有している。具体的には、下端部７２の最内に位置する列の縦方向Ｙにおける長さ寸法が、その外方において隣接する列のそれよりも小さく、また、該隣接する列の縦方向Ｙにおける長さ寸法が、その外方において隣接する２列（上端部７１と中央部７３とを形成するもの）のそれよりも小さくなっており、全体として階段状をなしている。
　下端部７２が、中央部７３から内方へ向かって傾斜して延びていることから、下端部７２の引き裂きが容易になるとともに、仮に、前ウエスト域１３に排泄物が進入しても、中央部７３と下端部７２との間の段差に溜まることはなく、かかる排泄物を下方にある吸液性構造体１２上に速やかに移動させることができる。
　図６は、図５の一点鎖線ＶＩで囲んだ領域の一部拡大図、図７（ａ），（ｂ）は、本発明の第２及び第３実施形態を示す図６と同様の図である。なお、第２及び第３実施形態のおむつ１０の基本的な構成は、第１実施形態の構成と同様であるので、相違する点についてのみ以下に述べる。
　図６に示すとおり、各接合部２９は、おむつ１０の側縁部１９において、略三角形状を有しており、おむつ１０の縦軸Ｐに対して斜めに配置されている。各接合部２９が、縦軸Ｐ及び横軸Ｑに対して間欠的に、かつ、縦軸Ｐに対して斜めに配置されており、また、上方に位置する角部２９ａから下方に向かうにつれて次第に面積が大きくなる態様であることから、前後ウエスト域１３，１４の前後側縁部２３，２５を指で摘まんでそれらをおむつ１０の前後方向に引っ張って互いに分離する時に生じる、各接合部２９を引き裂こうとする力が角部２９ａに局所的に加えられ、その力を下方に向かうにつれて次第に面積の広くなる部位２９ｂに伝えることができる。したがって、たとえ上端部７１を形成する第１及び第１外面シート３０，３１が長繊維で形成されたシートであって、短繊維からなるシートに比して縦軸Ｐの方向に引き裂き難い場合であっても、比較的に小さな力で各接合部２９を引き裂くことができる。また、各接合部２９は、上記の特徴ある態様を有する限りにおいて、図６に示す形状のほかに、図７（ａ）に示すような略四角形であってもよいし、図７（ｂ）に示すような略円形であってもよい。
　各接合部２９は、比較的に小さいものであって、具体的には、その面積は、約０．２５～２．０ｍｍ２である。各接合部２９の大きさが小さければ、比較的に小さな力でそれを引き裂くことができるので、前記範囲の大きさであることが好ましい。
　また、各接合部２９の縦方向Ｙの長さ寸法（シール幅）ｌ５は、各部７１，７２，７３における所要の接合強度によって自由に設定しうるものであるが、上端部７１から下端部７２に向かって接合強度を高めるために、下方に向かうにつれて、大きくなるように設定することもできる。この場合には、上端部７１における各接合部２９のシール幅ｌ５は、約０．５～５．５ｍｍ、中央部７３および下端部７２における各接合部２９のシール幅ｌ５は、約３．０～６．０ｍｍであることが好ましい。

  1. 　縦軸及びそれに直交する横軸と、前ウエスト域と、後ウエスト域と、
    　前記前後ウエスト域間に位置するクロッチ域と、ウエスト開口と、前記前後ウエスト域の両側縁部を互いに接合するためのサイドシーム部とを含むパンツ型の使い捨て着用物品において、
    　前記サイドシーム部が、前記縦軸の方向に間欠的に配列された複数の接合部から形成され、かつ、前記ウエスト開口の縁部寄りに位置する上端部と、前記クロッチ域寄りに位置する下端部とを有しており、
    　前記各接合部の面積がほぼ同じであって、前記下端部の横軸の方向における長さ寸法が、前記上端部の横軸の方向における長さ寸法よりも大きいことを特徴とする前記着用物品。
