Abstract
Description
前記トナーを適用した複写物については、変色前後の両状態のうち一方の状態を選択的に視認できる機能を有するものの、前記複写物を実用に供する場合、常温域で色調を保持する機能を必ずしも満足させるものではなく、冬場や夏場の環境温度によってはトナー自体が変色したり、或いは、複写物が変色して所期の機能を発現できない場合がある。
1. (A)電子供与性呈色性有機化合物、(B)電子受容性化合物、(C)前記(A)、(B)の呈色反応をコントロールする反応媒体を含む感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を内包させたマイクロカプセル顔料と、結着樹脂とを少なくとも含有してなり、前記マイクロカプセル顔料が色濃度-温度曲線に関して大きなヒステリシス特性を示して発色状態と消色状態の互変性を呈し、発色状態にあって温度が上昇する過程では、温度t3に達すると消色し始め、温度t3より高い温度t4以上の温度域で完全に消色状態となり、消色状態にあって温度が下降する過程では、前記温度t3より低い温度t2に達すると、発色し始め、温度t2より低い温度t1以下の温度域で完全に発色状態となり、前記温度t2と温度t3の間の温度域で発色状態或いは消色状態が択一的に視認されるヒステリシス特性を示し、温度t1は-50~0℃の範囲にあり、温度t4は50~150℃の範囲にある感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー。
3. 前記マイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4がトナーの軟化点を超える温度である上記1.又は2.に記載の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー。
4. 前記トナーの軟化点(S)と、前記マイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4が下記式(1)を満たす上記3.に記載の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー。

図1において、縦軸に色濃度、横軸に温度が表されている。温度変化による色濃度の変化は矢印に沿って進行する。ここで、Aは完全消色状態に達する温度t4(以下、完全消色温度と称す)における濃度を示す点であり、Bは消色を開始する温度t3(以下、消色開始温度と称す)における濃度を示す点であり、Cは発色を開始する温度t2(以下、発色開始温度と称す)における濃度を示す点であり、Dは完全発色状態に達する温度t1(以下、完全発色温度と称す)における濃度を示す点である。
変色温度域は前記t1とt4間の温度域であり、着色状態と消色状態の両状態が共存でき、色濃度の差の大きい領域であるt2とt3の間の温度域が実質変色温度域である。
変色温度として具体的には、完全発色温度t1を冷凍室、寒冷地等でしか得られない温度、即ち-50~0℃、好ましくは-40~-5℃、より好ましくは-30~-10℃、且つ、完全消色温度t4を加熱具によって得られる温度、即ち50~150℃、好ましくは60~150℃、より好ましくは70~150℃の範囲に特定し、ΔH値を50~100℃に特定することにより、常態(日常の生活温度域)で呈する色彩の保持に有効に機能させることができる。

更には、蛍光性の黄色乃至赤色の発色を発現させるのに有効な、ピリジン系、キナゾリン系、ビスキナゾリン系化合物等を挙げることができる。
活性プロトンを有する化合物を例示すると、フェノール性水酸基を有する化合物としては、モノフェノール類からポリフェノール類があり、さらにその置換基としてアルキル基、アリール基、アシル基、アルコキシカルボニル基、カルボキシ基及びそのエステル又はアミド基、ハロゲン基等を有するもの、及びビス型、トリス型フェノール等、フェノール-アルデヒド縮合樹脂等が挙げられる。又、前記フェノール性水酸基を有する化合物の金属塩であってもよい。
フェノール、o-クレゾール、ターシャリーブチルカテコール、ノニルフェノール、n-オクチルフェノール、n-ドデシルフェノール、n-ステアリルフェノール、p-クロロフェノール、p-ブロモフェノール、o-フェニルフェノール、p-ヒドロキシ安息香酸n-ブチル、p-ヒドロキシ安息香酸n-オクチル、レゾルシン、没食子酸ドデシル、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロパン、4,4-ジヒドロキシジフェニルスルホン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)エタン、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシ-3-メチルフェニル)プロパン、ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)スルフィド、1-フェニル-1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)エタン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)-3-メチルブタン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)-2-メチルプロパン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-ヘキサン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-ヘプタン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-オクタン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-ノナン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-デカン、1,1-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-ドデカン、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)ブタン、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)エチルプロピオネート、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)-4-メチルペンタン、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-ヘプタン、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)n-ノナン等がある。
前記フェノール性水酸基を有する化合物が最も有効な熱変色特性を発現させることができるが、芳香族カルボン酸及び炭素数2~5の脂肪族カルボン酸、カルボン酸金属塩、酸性リン酸エステル及びそれらの金属塩、1、2、3-トリアゾール及びその誘導体から選ばれる化合物等であってもよい。
なお、式(2)で示される化合物のうち、より好ましくは下記一般式(3)で示される化合物が用いられる。
前記化合物として具体的には、オクタン酸-4-ベンジルオキシフェニルエチル、ノナン酸-4-ベンジルオキシフェニルエチル、デカン酸-4-ベンジルオキシフェニルエチル、ウンデカン酸-4-ベンジルオキシフェニルエチル、ドデカン酸-4-ベンジルオキシフェニルエチル、トリデカン酸-4-ベンジルオキシフェニルエチルを例示できる。
1,3-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼンとカプリル酸とのジエステル、1,3-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼンとペラルゴン酸とのジエステル、1,3-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼンとカプリン酸とのジエステル、1,3-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼンとウンデカン酸とのジエステル、1,4-ビス(ヒドロキシメトキシ)ベンゼンと酪酸とのジエステル、1,4-ビス(ヒドロキシメトキシ)ベンゼンと吉草酸とのジエステル、1,4-ビス(ヒドロキシメトキシ)ベンゼンとイソ吉草酸とのジエステル、1,4-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼンと酢酸とのジエステル、1,4-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼンとプロピオン酸とのジエステル、1,4-ビス(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼンとカプロン酸とのジエステルを例示できる。
前記マイクロカプセル顔料が非円形断面の形態の場合、トナーの調製過程や熱定着工程における圧力や熱の負荷に対して破壊され難い。また、複写紙表面に肉薄状且つ濃密に配向し易いうえ、熱定着工程におけるロールの圧力が加わった際、適宜に弾性変形して応力を緩和できるため、カプセル壁膜の破壊に対して抑制効果を奏し、加熱過程にあってはカプセルの熱膨脹、収縮に応じて壁膜が弾性変形して、カプセル壁膜の破壊の抑制効果を果たし、内包の感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を保護して所期の熱変色機能を保持できる。
平均粒子径が0.5μm未満では高濃度の発色性を示し難く、強度的に不充分である。一方、平均粒子径が10μmを越えると結着樹脂と結合させて構成されるトナー自体の粒径は15μm以下が実用的上限であることから、実用性を満足させ難い。
フィルター類としては、ステンレススチール網、合成樹脂モノフィラメント網、合成樹脂マルチフィラメント網、極細繊維フィルター、綿布、不織布、ニードルフェルト、濾紙等の濾材を一種又は適宜組み合わせて用いることができる。
トナーにおけるマイクロカプセル顔料の含有量は3~50質量%、好ましくは3~40質量%、更に好ましくは5~40質量%が有効である。3質量%未満では発色時の色濃度が不十分であり、50質量%を越えると結着樹脂の占める割合が小さすぎて、トナーの定着性が阻害され易くなる。
前記感温変色性色彩記憶性トナーの粒子径は1~15μm、好ましくは3~15μm、より好ましくは3~10μmである。
粒子径が1μm未満ではトナーの流動性が悪くなり、地汚れ等の問題が発生しがちであり、15μmを超えると画像の鮮明性を損なうことがある。
トナーにおける結着樹脂の含有量は30~97質量%、好ましくは40~97質量%、更に好ましくは45~95質量%が有効である。
なお、前記樹脂のうち、低温定着性を有するポリエステル樹脂が好適に用いられる。
前記ポリエステル樹脂は、ガラス転移温度(Tg)が30℃~80℃、好ましくは40℃~70℃のものが好適に用いられる。ガラス転移温度が30℃未満では耐ブロッキング性(保存性)が低下することがあり、80℃を超えると低温定着性を損なうことがある。
また、ポリエステル樹脂の軟化点は105℃~135℃、好ましくは105℃~130℃である。105℃未満では耐ブロッキング性(保存性)が低下することがあり、130℃を超えると低温定着性を損なうことがある。
前記結着樹脂としてポリエステル樹脂と他の樹脂を併用する場合、結着樹脂中におけるポリエステル樹脂の含有量が、50重量%以上98重量%以下であることが好ましい。50重量%未満では低温定着性に乏しく、また、98重量%を超えると耐オフセット性を損ない易くなる。
前記離型剤としては、ワックス類が挙げられ、カルボニル基含有ワックス、ポリオレフィンワックス、長鎖炭化水素等が挙げられる。
前記カルボニル基含有ワックスとしては、例えば、ポリアルカン酸エステル、ポリアルカノールエステル、ポリアルカン酸アミド、ポリアルキルアミド、ジアルキルケトン等を例示できる。
前記ポリオレフィンワックスとしては、ポリエチレンワックス、ポリプロピレンワックス等を例示できる。
前記長鎖炭化水素としては、例えば、パラフィンワックス、サゾールワックス等を例示できる。
なお、前記ワックスの融点は、マイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4未満の温度であることが好ましい。
前記離型剤は、1種単独で使用してもよいし、2種以上を併用してもよい。
前記流動性向上剤としては、有機系微粉末または無機系微粉末を用いることができ、フツ化ビニリデン微粉末、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン微粉末等のフッ素系樹脂粉末、ステアリン酸亜鉛、ステアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸鉛等の脂肪酸金属塩、酸化鉄、酸化アルミニウム、酸化チタン、酸化亜鉛等の金属酸化物、シリカやシリカにシランカツプリング剤、チタンカツプリング剤、シリコーンオイルなどにより表面処理をほどこしたもの等が挙げられる。
前記磁性材料としては、鉄、コバルト、ニッケル等の金属、及びこれらの合金、金属酸化物等の磁性粉末が挙げられる。
前記トナーの軟化点は50~120℃、好ましくは60~100℃、より好ましくは60~80℃である。軟化点が50℃未満では、現像機内でのブロッキングを発生し易くなる。
なお、前記マイクロカプセル顔料の完全消色温度t4は、トナーの軟化点を超える温度であることが好ましい。これは、紙等の記録用紙にトナーを転移させた後、熱ローラー等の加熱具を適用してトナーを軟化させて定着させる際、完全消色温度がトナーの軟化点を超える温度であればマイクロカプセル顔料が消色することなく、よって、本発明の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナーを用いた複写物の像形成性に優れるためである。
また、前記複写物は、完全消色温度t4以上に加熱することにより、像が消色するため、繰り返し複写することができ、記録用紙の再利用が可能である。
前記像形成性に優れた複写物を得るためには、トナーの軟化点(S)と、前記マイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4が下記式(1)を満たすことが好ましく、また、下記式(2)を満たすことがより好ましい。
60℃≦S+5℃<t4 (2)
従って、トナーの軟化点(S)と、前記マイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4が式(1)を満たし、トナーの軟化点よりも3℃以上高い温度にマイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4を設定することは、加熱温度のバラツキによってマイクロカプセル顔料が消色することを防止でき、記録用紙の再利用するための重要な要件である。
なお、トナーの軟化点は、細管式レオメータを用いて1gのトナーを昇温速度5℃/分で加熱しながら、プランジャーにより20kgの荷重を与えて直径1mm、長さ1mmのノズルから押出し、トナーの半量が流出した時の温度を軟化点とした。
前記トナーを収容するカートリッジとしては、静電潜像を担持する静電潜像担持体と、静電潜像担持体上に担持された、静電潜像を現像剤を用いて現像し可視像を形成する現像手段とを有してなり、更に必要に応じて帯電手段、転写手段、クリーニング手段、除電手段等を有するカートリッジを例示できる。
前記カートリッジは、ファクシミリ、プリンター等の画像形成装置に着脱可能である。
また、前記マイクロカプセル顔料は、色濃度-温度曲線に関して大きなヒステリシス特性を示して有色状態と無色状態の互変性を呈し、該顔料は有色状態から温度が上昇する過程では、温度t3に達すると消色し始め、温度t3より高い温度t4以上の温度域で完全に無色状態となり、無色状態から温度が下降する過程では、温度t3より低い温度t2に達すると着色し始め、温度t2より低い温度t1以下の温度域で完全に着色状態となり、前記温度t2と温度t3の間の温度域で着色状態と無色状態が択一的に保持されるヒステリシス特性を示し、温度t1は-50~0℃の範囲にあり、温度t4が50~150℃の範囲にある顔料が好適に用いられる。
なお、完全消色温度t4を摩擦熱によって得られる温度、即ち50~95℃、好ましくは55~90℃、より好ましくは60~85℃の範囲に特定することにより、筆記面に形成された筆跡上を摩擦体による数回の摩擦による摩擦熱で十分に消去できる。
完全消色温度t4が95℃を越える温度の場合、摩擦体による摩擦で得られる摩擦熱が完全消色温度に達し難くなるため、容易に消去し難くなり、摩擦回数が増加したり、或いは、荷重をかけ過ぎて擦過する傾向にあるため、筆記面を傷めてしまう虞がある。
前記カートリッジセットや画像形成装置セットを得る場合、トナーに含まれるマイクロカプセル顔料の完全消色温度t4よりも、筆記具のインキ中に含まれるマイクロカプセル顔料の完全消色温度t4を低くすることによって、摩擦熱によって筆記具により形成された筆跡のみ消去する構成とすることもできる。この場合、トナーに含まれるマイクロカプセル顔料の完全消色温度t4と、筆記具のインキ中に含まれるマイクロカプセル顔料の完全消色温度t4の温度差は10℃以上、好ましくは15℃以上、より好ましくは20℃以上である。
更に、前記インキを充填する筆記具がボールペン形態の場合、不使用時のボールとチップの間隙からのインキ漏れを防止したり、筆記先端部を上向き(正立状態)で放置した場合のインキの逆流を防止することができる。
前記インキには顔料粒子間の緩い橋架け作用を示す水溶性高分子凝集剤であればすべて適用することができるが、なかでも水溶性セルロース誘導体が最も有効に作用する。
前記高分子凝集剤はインキ組成物全量に対し、0.05~20質量%配合することができる。
前記水溶性有機溶剤としては、エタノール、プロパノール、ブタノール、グリセリン、ソルビトール、トリエタノールアミン、ジエタノールアミン、モノエタノールアミン、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、チオジエチレングリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ブチレングリコール、エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、エチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、エチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテル、ジエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、プロピレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテート、スルフォラン、2-ピロリドン、N-メチル-2-ピロリドン等を挙げることができる。
また、炭酸ナトリウム、燐酸ナトリウム、酢酸ソーダ等の無機塩類、水溶性のアミン化合物等の有機塩基性化合物等のpH調整剤、ベンゾトリアゾール、トリルトリアゾール、ジシクロヘキシルアンモニウムナイトライト、ジイソプロピルアンモニウムナイトライト、サポニン等の防錆剤、石炭酸、1、2-ベンズチアゾリン3-オンのナトリウム塩、安息香酸ナトリウム、デヒドロ酢酸ナトリウム、ソルビン酸カリウム、パラオキシ安息香酸プロピル、2,3,5,6-テトラクロロ-4-(メチルスルフォニル)ピリジン等の防腐剤或いは防黴剤、尿素、ノニオン系界面活性剤、還元又は非還元デンプン加水分解物、トレハロース等のオリゴ糖類、ショ糖、サイクロデキストリン、ぶどう糖、デキストリン、ソルビット、マンニット、ピロリン酸ナトリウム等の湿潤剤、消泡剤、分散剤、インキの浸透性を向上させるフッ素系界面活性剤やノニオン系の界面活性剤を添加してもよい。
ボールペン自体の構造、形状は特に限定されるものではなく、例えば、軸筒内に剪断減粘性インキを充填したインキ収容管を有し、該インキ収容管はボールを先端部に装着したチップに連通しており、さらにインキの端面には逆流防止用の液栓が密接しているボールペンを例示できる。
前記ボールペンチップについて更に詳しく説明すると、金属製のパイプの先端近傍を外面より内方に押圧変形させたボール抱持部にボールを抱持してなるチップ、或いは、金属材料をドリル等による切削加工により形成したボール抱持部にボールを抱持してなるチップ、金属又はプラスチック製チップ内部に樹脂製のボール受け座を設けたチップ、或いは、前記チップに抱持するボールをバネ体により前方に付勢させたもの等を適用できる。
又、前記ボールは、超硬合金、ステンレス鋼、ルビー、セラミック、樹脂、ゴム等の0.3~3.0mm、好ましくは0.3~1.5mm、より好ましくは0.4~1.0mm径程度のものが適用できる。
前記インキを収容するインキ収容管は、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ナイロン等の熱可塑性樹脂からなる成形体が用いられる。
前記インキ収容管にはチップを直接連結する他、接続部材(ホルダー)を介して前記インキ収容管とチップを連結してもよい。
尚、前記インキ収容管はレフィルの形態として、前記レフィルを樹脂製、金属製等の軸筒内に収容するものでもよいし、先端部にチップを装着した軸筒自体をインキ収容体として、前記軸筒内に直接インキを充填してもよい。
前記インキ逆流防止体組成物は不揮発性液体又は難揮発性液体からなる。
具体的には、ワセリン、スピンドル油、ヒマシ油、オリーブ油、精製鉱油、流動パラフィン、ポリブテン、α-オレフィン、α-オレフィンのオリゴマーまたはコオリゴマー、ジメチルシリコーンオイル、メチルフェニルシリコーンオイル、アミノ変性シリコーンオイル、ポリエーテル変性シリコーンオイル、脂肪酸変性シリコーンオイル等があげられ、一種又は二種以上を併用することもできる。
前記不揮発性液体及び/又は難揮発性液体は、増粘剤を添加して好適な粘度まで増粘させることが好ましく、前記増粘剤としては表面を疎水処理したシリカ、表面をメチル化処理した微粒子シリカ、珪酸アルミニウム、膨潤性雲母、疎水処理を施したベントナイトやモンモリロナイトなどの粘土系増粘剤、ステアリン酸マグネシウム、ステアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸アルミニウム、ステアリン酸亜鉛等の脂肪酸金属石鹸、トリベンジリデンソルビトール、脂肪酸アマイド、アマイド変性ポリエチレンワックス、水添ひまし油、脂肪酸デキストリン等のデキストリン系化合物、セルロース系化合物等を挙げることができる。
更に、前記液状のインキ逆流防止体と、固体のインキ逆流防止体を併用することもできる。
前記チップは、繊維の樹脂加工体、熱溶融性繊維の融着加工体、フェルト体等の従来より汎用の気孔率が概ね30~70%の範囲から選ばれる連通気孔の多孔質部材であり、一端を砲弾形状、長方形状、チゼル形状等の目的に応じた形状に加工して実用に供される。
前記インキ吸蔵体は、捲縮状繊維を長手方向に集束させたものであり、プラスチック筒体やフィルム等の被覆体に内在させて、気孔率が概ね40~90%の範囲に調整して構成される。
また、前記弁体は、従来より汎用のポンピング式形態が使用できるが、筆圧により押圧開放可能なバネ圧に設定したものが好適である。
加熱手段としては、ドライヤーを用いたり、指で擦る方法が挙げられるが、摩擦体を用いて摩擦することにより消色させることが好ましい。
前記摩擦体としては、弾性感に富み、摩擦時に適度な摩擦熱を発生させることのできるエラストマー、プラスチック発泡体等の弾性体が好適であるが、プラスチック成形体、石材、木材、金属、布帛であってもよい。
前記摩擦体の材質としては、シリコーン樹脂、SBS樹脂(スチレン-ブタジエン-スチレン共重合体)、SEBS樹脂(スチレン-エチレン-ブチレン-スチレンブロック共重合体)等が挙げられる。
前記摩擦体は筆記具に固着させることにより、携帯性に優れたものとなる。
前記摩擦体を固着する箇所は特に限定されるものではないが、キャップ先端部(頂部)、或いは、軸筒先端部(筆記先端部を設けていない部分)等を挙げることができる。
また、前記筆記具と、別体の摩擦体とを組み合わせることもできる。
可逆熱変色性マイクロカプセル顔料の調製
(A)成分として2-(2-クロロアミノ)-6-ジブチルアミノフルオラン4.5部、(B)成分として2,2-ビス(4′-ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン5.0部、(C)成分としてピメリン酸と2-(4-ベンジルオキシフェニル)エタノールとのジエステル50部からなる感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を均一に加温溶解し、壁膜材料として芳香族多価イソシアネートプレポリマー25.0部、助溶剤50.0部を混合した溶液を、8%ポリビニルアルコール水溶液中で微小滴になるように乳化分散し、加温しながら攪拌を続けた後、水溶性脂肪族変性アミン2.5部を加え、更に攪拌を続けてマイクロカプセル顔料懸濁液を得た。
前記懸濁液を遠心分離してマイクロカプセル顔料を単離した。
前記マイクロカプセル顔料の平均粒子径は2.5μm、完全消色温度は77℃であり、完全発色温度は-12℃であり、温度変化により黒色から無色に変色する。
前記マイクロカプセル顔料15部、結着樹脂として軟化点が70℃のポリエステル樹脂100部、離型剤として低分子量ポリエチレン3部を混合した後、2軸エクストルーダーにより混練温度90℃にて溶融混練し、冷却固化後に粉砕、分級して粒径7μmの感温変色性色彩記憶性トナーを得た。このトナー粒子の軟化点は73℃であった。
前記感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー(予め冷却してマイクロカプセル顔料を発色させたもの)をカートリッジに収容した。
前記カートリッジをレーザープリンタにセットして会議用資料をコピーして感温変色像を形成して感温変色性複写物を得た。
前記複写物は室温(25℃)下で黒色の感温変色像が視認され、77℃以上に加温することにより感温変色像は消色し、室温(25℃)下で使用前の状態(何も複写していない記録用紙)に戻った。

可逆熱変色性マイクロカプセル顔料の調製
(A)成分として2-(ジブチルアミノ)-8-(ジペンチルアミノ)-4-メチル-スピロ[5H-[1]ベンゾピラノ[2,3-g]ピリミジン-5,1′(3′H)-イソベンゾフラン]-3-オン1.5部、(B)成分として2,2-ビス(4′-ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン5.0部、(C)成分としてピメリン酸と2-(4-ベンジルオキシフェニル)エタノールとのジエステル50部からなる感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を均一に加温溶解し、壁膜材料として芳香族多価イソシアネートプレポリマー25.0部、助溶剤50.0部を混合した溶液を、8%ポリビニルアルコール水溶液中で微小滴になるように乳化分散し、加温しながら攪拌を続けた後、水溶性脂肪族変性アミン2.5部を加え、更に攪拌を続けてマイクロカプセル顔料懸濁液を得た。
前記懸濁液を遠心分離してマイクロカプセル顔料を単離した。
前記マイクロカプセル顔料の平均粒子径は2.5μm、完全消色温度は78℃であり、完全発色温度は-11℃であり、温度変化によりピンク色から無色に変色する。
前記マイクロカプセル顔料15部、結着樹脂として軟化点が70℃のポリエステル樹脂100部、離型剤として低分子量ポリエチレン3部を混合した後、2軸エクストルーダーにより混練温度90℃にて溶融混練し、冷却固化後に粉砕、分級して粒径7μmの感温変色性色彩記憶性トナーを得た。このトナー粒子の軟化点は73℃であった。
前記感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー(予め冷却してマイクロカプセル顔料を発色させたもの)をカートリッジに収容した。
前記カートリッジをレーザープリンタにセットして会議用資料をコピーして感温変色像を形成して感温変色性複写物を得た。

再び、レーザープリンタに前記記録用紙をセットしてコピーを行なうことにより感温変色像を形成して複写物を得ることができ、繰り返し記録用紙を使用することができた。

筆記具の作製(図2参照)
(A)成分として1,2-ベンツ-6-(N-エチル-N-イソアミルアミノ)フルオラン1.0部、1,3-ジメチル-6-ジエチルアミノフルオラン2.0部、(B)成分として4,4′-(2-メチルプロピリデン)ビスフェノール4.5部、2,2-ビス(4′-ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン7.5部、(C)成分としてカプリン酸4-ベンジルオキシフェニルエチル50.0部からなる感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を内包したマイクロカプセル顔料懸濁液を得た。
前記懸濁液を遠心分離してマイクロカプセル顔料を単離した。
前記マイクロカプセル顔料の平均粒子径は2.5μm、完全消色温度は57℃であり、完全発色温度は-20℃であり、温度変化により赤色から無色に変色する。
前記マイクロカプセル顔料25.7部、サクシノグリカン(剪断減粘性付与剤)0.2部、尿素5.5部、グリセリン7.5部、変性シリコーン系消泡剤0.2部、防黴剤0.1部、潤滑剤1.0部、トリエタノールアミン1.0部、水58.8部を混合して可逆熱変色性水性インキ組成物を調製した。
前記インキ4(予め-20℃以下に冷却してマイクロカプセル顔料を赤色に発色させた後、室温下で放置したもの)をポリプロピレン製パイプ(インキ収容管21)に吸引充填し、樹脂製ホルダー22を介してボールペンチップ3と連結させた。
次いで、前記ポリプロピレン製パイプの後部より、ポリブテンを主成分とする粘弾性を有するインキ逆流防止体5(液栓)を充填し、尾栓23をパイプの後部に嵌合させてレフィル2とした。更に、前記レフィル2を軸筒6(先軸筒と後軸筒とからなる)内に組み込み、キャップ7を嵌めた後、遠心処理により脱気処理を行なって筆記具1(ボールペン)を得た。
なお、前記ボールペンチップは、金属材料をドリルによる切削加工により形成したボール抱持部に直径0.5mmの超硬合金製ボールを抱持させてなり、且つ、前記ボールはバネ体により前方に付勢させたものである。
また、後軸筒端部には、SEBS樹脂からなる摩擦体8が装着されている。
前記カートリッジをレーザープリンタにセットして会議用資料をコピーして感温変色像を形成して感温変色性複写物を得た。
前記複写物は室温(25℃)下で黒色の感温変色像が視認され、前記ボールペンを用いて赤色の文字(筆跡)を書き込むことができた。
前記筆跡の一部分に摩擦体を用いて摩擦すると消色して無色となった。
前記複写物は77℃以上に加温することにより感温変色像と筆跡は消色し、室温(25℃)下で使用前の状態(何も複写していない記録用紙)に戻った。

前記マイクロカプセル顔料(予め-20℃以下に冷却して青色に発色させたもの)20.0部、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース0.5部、高分子分散剤0.2部、防腐剤1.0部、ポリビニルアルコール0.5部、グリセリン25.0部、消泡剤0.02部、水52.78部を混合して可逆熱変色性水性インキ組成物を得た。
ポリエステルスライバーを合成樹脂フィルムで被覆したインキ吸蔵体10内に前記インキ組成物を含浸させ、ポリプロピレン樹脂からなる軸筒6内に収容し、ホルダー22を介して軸筒先端部にポリエステル繊維の樹脂加工マーキングペンチップ3(砲弾型)を接続状態に組み立て、キャップ7を装着して筆記具1(マーキングペン)を得た。
前記軸筒後端部には摩擦体8としてSEBS樹脂を装着してなる。
前記画像形成装置により会議用資料をコピーして感温変色像を形成して感温変色性複写物を得た。
前記複写物は室温(25℃)下でピンク色の感温変色像が視認され、前記マーキングペンを用いて青色の文字(筆跡)を書き込むことができた。
前記筆跡の一部分に摩擦体を用いて摩擦すると消色して無色となった。

前記マイクロカプセル顔料(予め-20℃以下に冷却して黄色に発色させたもの)25.0部、ヒドロキシエチルセルロース0.5部、高分子分散剤0.2部、防腐剤1.0部、ポリビニルアルコール0.5部、グリセリン25.0部、消泡剤0.02部、水47.78部を混合して可逆熱変色性水性インキ組成物を得た。
前記インキ4と、撹拌体9(SUS-304フェライト系ステンレス鋼球、直径3mm)を軸筒6内に内蔵し、ホルダー22を介して先端部にマーキングペンチップ3[チゼル型繊維ペン体(気孔率約53%)]を取り付け、キャップ7を装着して直液式筆記具1(マーキングペン)を得た。
なお、前記軸筒内には弁機構11を備えてなり、前記弁機構は、弁座と、弁体と、前記弁体を弁座に圧接するように付勢する金属製スプリングからなり、筆記時のペン体への筆圧で弁が開く構造である。
前記軸筒後端部には摩擦体8としてSEBS樹脂を装着してなる。
前記カートリッジをレーザープリンタにセットして会議用資料をコピーして感温変色像を形成して感温変色性複写物を得た。
前記複写物は室温(25℃)下で青色の感温変色像が視認され、像上に前記マーキングペンを用いて黄色のハイライトを形成することができた。
前記ハイライトの一部分に摩擦体を用いて摩擦すると消色して無色となった。
前記複写物は79℃以上に加温することにより感温変色像とハイライトは消色し、室温(25℃)下で使用前の状態(何も複写していない記録用紙)に戻った。

前記複写物は室温(25℃)下で青色の感温変色像が視認され、80℃以上に加温することにより感温変色像は消色し、室温(25℃)下で使用前の状態(何も複写していない記録用紙)に戻った。
再び、レーザープリンタに前記記録用紙をセットしてコピーを行なうことにより感温変色像を形成して複写物を得ることができ、繰り返し記録用紙を使用することができた。
本出願は、2008年5月14日出願の日本特許出願(特願2008-126691)、2008年8月18日出願の日本特許出願(特願2008-209565)に基づくものであり、その内容はここに参照として取り込まれる。

Claims (13)
- (A)電子供与性呈色性有機化合物、(B)電子受容性化合物、(C)前記(A)、(B)の呈色反応をコントロールする反応媒体を含む感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を内包させたマイクロカプセル顔料と、結着樹脂とを少なくとも含有してなり、前記マイクロカプセル顔料が色濃度-温度曲線に関して大きなヒステリシス特性を示して発色状態と消色状態の互変性を呈し、発色状態にあって温度が上昇する過程では、温度t3に達すると消色し始め、温度t3より高い温度t4以上の温度域で完全に消色状態となり、消色状態にあって温度が下降する過程では、前記温度t3より低い温度t2に達すると、発色し始め、温度t2より低い温度t1以下の温度域で完全に発色状態となり、前記温度t2と温度t3の間の温度域で発色状態或いは消色状態が択一的に視認されるヒステリシス特性を示し、温度t1は-50~0℃の範囲にあり、温度t4は50~150℃の範囲にある感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー。
- 前記マイクロカプセル顔料は、色濃度-温度曲線に関して50℃乃至100℃のヒステリシス幅(ΔH)を示す請求項1に記載の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー。
- 前記マイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4がトナーの軟化点を超える温度である請求項1又は2に記載の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー。
- 前記トナーの軟化点(S)と、前記マイクロカプセル顔料の温度t4が下記式(1)を満たす請求項3に記載の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナー。
60℃≦S+3℃<t4 (1) - 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナーを容器内に収容したカートリッジ。
- 請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の感温変色性色彩記憶性トナーを収容した画像形成装置。
- 請求項5に記載のカートリッジを収容した画像形成装置。
- 請求項5に記載のカートリッジと、軸筒内に加熱により消色する着色剤を含むインキ組成物を収容し、筆記先端部にペン体を設けた筆記具とからなるカートリッジセット。
- 加熱により消色する着色剤が(A)電子供与性呈色性有機化合物、(B)電子受容性化合物、(C)前記(A)、(B)の呈色反応をコントロールする反応媒体を含む感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を内包させたマイクロカプセル顔料であり、前記マイクロカプセル顔料が色濃度-温度曲線に関して大きなヒステリシス特性を示して発色状態と消色状態の互変性を呈し、発色状態にあって温度が上昇する過程では、温度t3に達すると消色し始め、温度t3より高い温度t4以上の温度域で完全に消色状態となり、消色状態にあって温度が下降する過程では、前記温度t3より低い温度t2に達すると、発色し始め、温度t2より低い温度t1以下の温度域で完全に発色状態となり、前記温度t2と温度t3の間の温度域で発色状態或いは消色状態が択一的に視認されるヒステリシス特性を示し、温度t1は-50~0℃の範囲にあり、温度t4は50~150℃の範囲にある請求項8に記載のカートリッジセット。
- 前記温度t4が50~95℃の範囲にあり、且つ、摩擦体を備えてなる請求項9に記載のカートリッジセット。
- 請求項6又は7に記載の画像形成装置と、軸筒内に加熱により消色する着色剤を含むインキ組成物を収容し、筆記先端部にペン体を設けた筆記具とからなる画像形成装置セット。
- 加熱により消色する着色剤が(A)電子供与性呈色性有機化合物、(B)電子受容性化合物、(C)前記(A)、(B)の呈色反応をコントロールする反応媒体を含む感温変色性色彩記憶性組成物を内包させたマイクロカプセル顔料であり、前記マイクロカプセル顔料が色濃度-温度曲線に関して大きなヒステリシス特性を示して発色状態と消色状態の互変性を呈し、発色状態にあって温度が上昇する過程では、温度t3に達すると消色し始め、温度t3より高い温度t4以上の温度域で完全に消色状態となり、消色状態にあって温度が下降する過程では、前記温度t3より低い温度t2に達すると、発色し始め、温度t2より低い温度t1以下の温度域で完全に発色状態となり、前記温度t2と温度t3の間の温度域で発色状態或いは消色状態が択一的に視認されるヒステリシス特性を示し、温度t1は-50~0℃の範囲にあり、温度t4は50~150℃の範囲にある請求項11に記載の画像形成装置セット。
- 前記温度t4が50~95℃の範囲にあり、且つ、摩擦体を備えてなる請求項12に記載の画像形成装置セット。
