Definitions
- the present invention relates to an electromechanical transducer and an actuator including the same.
- FIG. 13 is a schematic perspective view of the piezoelectric actuator described in Patent Document 1.
- the piezoelectric actuator 100 includes a piezoelectric ceramic portion 101 and non-piezoelectric ceramic portions 102 and 103 connected to both ends of the piezoelectric ceramic portion 101.
- First and second internal electrodes 104 and 105 are formed inside the piezoelectric ceramic portion 101 so as to face each other.
- the first internal electrode 104 is connected to the first external electrode 106 formed on the outer surface of the piezoelectric ceramic portion 101.
- the second internal electrode 105 is connected to a second external electrode (not shown) formed on the outer surface of the piezoelectric ceramic portion 101.
- An external lead wire 107 is connected to each of the first external electrode 106 and the second external electrode by solder 108.
- the piezoelectric actuator 100 In the piezoelectric actuator 100, a voltage is applied between the first and second internal electrodes 104 and 105 via the external lead wire 107, the solder 108, the first external electrode 106, and the second external electrode. Thereby, the piezoelectric ceramic part 101 expands and contracts. As a result, the piezoelectric actuator 100 is driven.
- Patent Document 1 when the piezoelectric actuator 100 is incorporated into a machining apparatus or the like, one end of the non-piezoelectric ceramic portions 102 and 103 is used as a support member, and the other end is used as a driven member. And fixing with an epoxy adhesive.
- bonding between a piezoelectric actuator and a supporting member or a driven member is generally performed with an adhesive.
- an adhesive In particular, when a small piezoelectric actuator is bonded to a support member or a driven member, there is currently no effective bonding means other than an adhesive.
- the adhesive low molecular weight components such as a plasticizer and a curing agent contained in the adhesive bleed when the adhesive is cured (hereinafter referred to as “the adhesive”).
- the component bleeding from the adhesive is referred to as “bleed material”.)
- the bleed material spreads along the surface of the piezoelectric actuator 100. For this reason, when bleeding occurs, the surfaces of the first external electrode 106 and the second external electrode may be covered with a bleeding object. In this case, the bonding strength of the solder 108 to the first external electrode 106 and the second external electrode is reduced.
- connection reliability between the external lead wire 107 and the first external electrode 106 and the second external electrode is lowered. Further, when the first external electrode 106 and the second external electrode are covered with a bleed material, the solder 108 may not be joined.

- a lead electrode for applying a voltage to the displacement portion is bonded at a bonding region provided on the external electrode.
- a driven member that is driven by the expansion and contraction of the displacement portion is bonded to the bonding surface with an adhesive.
- the electromechanical conversion element according to the present invention includes a bleed flow blocking portion provided on the bonding surface side from the end portion of the bonding region on the same side as the bonding surface on the electrode forming surface.
- the critical surface tension of the bleed flow blocking portion is smaller than the critical surface tension of the external electrode. In this case, it is more effectively suppressed by the bleed flow blocking portion that the bleed material bleed from the adhesive flows to the external electrode side. Therefore, the bonding strength between the external electrode and the solder can be further increased. As a result, the connection reliability between the lead electrode and the external electrode can be further increased. In addition, since the bleed material is less likely to intervene between the external electrode and the solder, an increase in the electrical resistance value between the external electrode and the solder can be more effectively suppressed.
- the critical surface tension of the bleed flow blocking portion is in the range of 10 dyn / cm to 100 dyn / cm.
- the bleed flow blocking portion further effectively suppresses the bleed material bleed from the adhesive from flowing to the external electrode side.
- the bleed flow blocking portion is made of a resin.

- the bleed flow blocking portion is formed at a position separated by 50 ⁇ m or more from the edge on the bonding surface side of the electrode forming surface. According to this configuration, when the bleed flow prevention portion is formed by a method such as screen printing or ink jet printing, the occurrence of printing position deviation or the paste or ink for forming the bleed flow prevention portion flows and wraps around the end face. Can be prevented.
- the height of the bleed flow blocking portion is 1 ⁇ m or more. According to this configuration, the bleed flow blocking part more effectively suppresses the bleed material bleed from the adhesive from flowing to the external electrode side.

- the bleed flow blocking portion is formed from one end of the electrode forming surface to the other end in the extending direction of the bonding surface. Yes. According to this configuration, the bleed flow blocking part more effectively suppresses the bleed material bleed from the adhesive from flowing to the external electrode side.
- the bleed flow blocking portion is formed so as to surround at least a part of the external electrode. According to this configuration, the bleed flow blocking portion further effectively suppresses the bleed material bleeded from the adhesive from flowing into a portion located in the region surrounded by the bleed outflow blocking portion of the external electrode. .
- the displacement portion includes first and second side surfaces extending along the height direction and a first direction perpendicular to the height direction. , Third and fourth side surfaces extending along the height direction, a second direction perpendicular to the height direction and the first direction, and a first side extending along the first direction and the second direction.
- the first and second end surfaces are formed in a quadrangular prism shape, the bonding surface is constituted by the first end surface, and the electrode forming surface is constituted by the first side surface.

- the body is slid and displaced relative to the driven part.
- the bleed flow blocking portion is provided on the bonding surface side from the end portion on the same side as the bonding surface of the bonding region with the lead electrode. For this reason, the bleed flow blocking part prevents the bleed material from the adhesive applied to the bonding surface from flowing into the bonding region. As a result, the joining region is not easily covered with the bleed material. Therefore, the connection reliability between the external electrode and the lead electrode can be improved.

Abstract
