Claims (10)
- 正極板および負極板をセパレータを介して捲回または積層してなる電極群を電池ケース内に収容し、この電池ケースの開口部を封口板で封口した密閉型電池であって、
前記電極群のいずれか一方の極板から導出されたリードが前記封口板にレーザ溶接されており、
前記リードと前記封口板との溶接部において、該溶接部の端部の溶融幅が、前記溶接部の中央部の溶融幅より小さい、密閉型電池。 - 前記リードと前記封口板との溶接部において、該溶接部の溶融終了側の端部の溶融幅が、前記溶接部の中央部の溶融幅より小さい、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記リードは、該リードの厚みよりも小さいスポット径を有するレーザ光を連続的に走査することによって、前記封口板にレーザ溶接されている、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記溶接部の端部の溶融幅が前記溶接部の中央部の溶融幅の1/5以下である、請求項1に記載の密閉型電池。
- 正極板および負極板をセパレータを介して捲回または積層して電極群を形成する工程と、
前記電極群のいずれか一方の極板に、リードの一端を接続する工程と、
前記電極群を電池ケース内に収容する工程と、
前記リードの他端を封口板に当接させて、前記リードの厚みよりも小さいスポット径を有するレーザ光を連続的に走査しながら前記リード側から照射することによって、前記リードの他端を前記封口板にレーザ溶接する工程と、
電池ケースの開口部を前記封口板で封口する工程と
を含み、
前記レーザ溶接により溶接された前記記リードと前記封口板との溶接部は、該溶接部の端部の溶融幅が、前記溶接部の中央部の溶融幅より小さくなっている、密閉型電池の製造方法。 - 前記レーザ溶接により溶接された前記リードと前記封口板との溶接部は、該溶接部の溶融終了側の端部の溶融幅が、前記溶接部の中央部の溶融幅より小さくなっている、請求項5に記載の密閉型電池の製造方法。
- 前記レーザ光のスポット径が前記リードの厚みの1/10~1/2である、請求項5に記載の密閉型電池の製造方法。
- 前記レーザ光を照射する際に、前記リードと前記封口板との溶接部の周辺を負圧にする、請求項5に記載の密閉型電池の製造方法。
- 前記レーザ光を照射する際に、前記リードと前記封口板との溶接部の周辺を吸引する、請求項5に記載の密閉型電池の製造方法。
- 前記レーザ光を照射する際に、前記リードと前記封口板との溶接部の周辺に磁力を発生させながら吸引する、請求項9に記載の密閉型電池の製造方法。
