Abstract
Description
第1の含水性軟質素材から形成される中央部と、第2の含水性軟質素材から形成される周辺部とを備え、上記第1の含水性軟質素材がシリコーン含有モノマーを含む第1の硬化性組成物を硬化して得られるハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズである。
下記式(1)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B)との差が0.05以下であるとよい。

第1の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、レンズ中央部用の上記第1の含水性軟質素材を形成する第1含水性軟質素材形成工程と、
第2の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、レンズ周辺部用の上記第2の含水性軟質素材を形成する第2含水性軟質素材形成工程と、
この第1の含水性軟質素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を備える形成体をコンタクトレンズ形状に成形する成形工程と
を有する。
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程後に、形成された第1の含水性軟質素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を、第3の硬化性組成物を介して接着させることにより両含水性軟質素材を一体化させる工程を有することも好ましい。このような製造方法によっても、第1の含水性軟質素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を、第3の硬化性組成物を介して接着させているため、水和処理の際などのレンズの変形を抑えることができる。
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程前に、第3の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、平均厚さ0.5mm以下の接合層を形成する工程を有し、
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程をこの接合層の一の面に第1の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で行い、
上記第2含水性軟質素材形成工程をこの接合層の他の面に第2の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で行うことも好ましい。
下記式(1)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B)との差が0.05以下であるとよい。

(3)N-ビニルラクタム類(たとえば、N-ビニルピロリドン、N-ビニルピペリドン、N-ビニルカプロラクタムなど)、
(4)上記以外の親水性モノマー(たとえば、ジエチレングリコールモノ(メタ)アクリレート、トリエチレングリコールモノ(メタ)アクリレート、プロピレングリコールモノ(メタ)アクリレート、(メタ)アクリル酸、メトキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、エトキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、無水マレイン酸、マレイン酸、マレイン酸誘導体、フマル酸、フマル酸誘導体、アミノスチレン、ヒドロキシスチレン)、
などがあげられ、単独でまたは2種以上を混合して用いることができる。なかでも従来コンタクトレンズの原料として使用されていること、適度な含水率を有し含水率の調整が容易であること、接合部の含浸が進みやすいことから水酸基含有アルキル(メタ)アクリレートが好ましく、それらの中でも、アルキル基の炭素数が1~4程度の水酸基含有アルキル(メタ)アクリレートであるヒドロキメチル(メタ)アクリレート、ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、ヒドロキシブチル(メタ)アクリレート、ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレートがさらに好ましい。
含水率(%)=[(含水後の重合体(含水性軟質素材)の質量-含水前の重合体(含水性軟質素材)の質量)/含水後の重合体(含水性軟質素材)の質量]×100
で示される式により算出される。なお、含水性とは、含水することができる性質をいい、この含水性軟質素材は含水していても、含水していなくてもよい。

(式中、R1は水素原子またはCH3、sは1~15の整数、tは1~(2s+1)の整数、uは0~2の整数を示す)で表わされるモノマーなどがあげられる。
(1)周辺部(第2の硬化性組成物):紫外線吸収剤
中央部(第1の硬化性組成物):色素+紫外線吸収剤
(2)周辺部(第2の硬化性組成物):色素+紫外線吸収剤
中央部(第1の硬化性組成物):紫外線吸収剤
上記紫外線吸収剤や色素の含有量は、第1及び第2の硬化性組成物で同一でも、異なってもよいが、材料の厚さに大きく影響されることなどを考慮して、通常、全重合性成分100質量部に対して、紫外線吸収剤、色素共に、0.001~1質量部であることが望ましい。しかし、目的とするコンタクトレンズの用途に応じて適宜調整すればよく、とくに限定されるものではない。
(1)平均分子量1,000~100,000のポリエチレングリコール、ポリプロピレングリコール、ポリブチレングリコール、
(2)安息香酸、ドルイック酸、ナフトエ酸、
(3)平均分子量100~100,000のポリオキシエチレングリコール、ポリオキシプロピレングリコール、ポリオキシブチレングリコールのエステルまたはエーテル、
(4)石けん、表面活性剤、
(5)ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルカプロラクタム、ポリビニルピペリドン、
(6)N-アセチルポリエチレンイミン、
(7)ポリ-N-ビニルイミダゾール、ポリ-N-ビニルサクシンイミド、ポリ-N-ビニルグルタルイミド、
などがあげられる。
本発明のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法としては、特に限定されず、例えば、
第1の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、レンズ中央部用の上記第1の含水性軟質素材を形成する第1含水性軟質素材形成工程と、
第2の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、レンズ周辺部用の上記第2の含水性軟質素材を形成する第2含水性軟質素材形成工程と、
この第1の含水性軟質素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を備える形成体をコンタクトレンズ形状に成形する成形工程と
を有する方法を挙げることができる。
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程において、一方の工程を先に行い、形成された一方の含水性軟質素材に他方の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で他方の工程を行う方法。
(a)周辺部として、第2の硬化性組成物を硬化させて円柱状の重合体(第2の含水性軟質素材)を得て(第2含水性軟質素材形成工程)、
(b)得られた重合体に、外径と同心の孔を貫通させ、
(c)該貫通孔に第1の硬化性組成物、特に、少なくとも1種類のシリコーン含有モノマーを含む第1の硬化性組成物を充填させて硬化させ、第1の含水性軟質素材を得て(第1含水性軟質素材形成工程)、
(d)得られた重合体(第1の含水性素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を備える形成体)をコンタクトレンズ形状に切削加工(成形)する(成形工程)、
方法により製造することができる。
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程後に、形成された第1の含水性軟質素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を、第3の硬化性組成物を介して接着させることにより両含水性軟質素材を一体化させる工程をさらに有する製造方法。
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程前に、第3の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、平均厚さ1mm以下の接合層を形成する工程を有し、
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程をこの接合層の一の面に第1の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で行い、
上記第2含水性軟質素材形成工程をこの接合層の他の面に第2の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で行う製造方法。
下記式(1)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B)との差が0.05以下であるとよい。
サイズ変化率=水和処理後のプレートの20℃にて生理食塩水に浸漬した状態での直径(mm)/水和処理前のプレートの直径(mm) ・・・ (1)
上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A)に対する上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B)の比(B/A)が0.94以上1.06以下であるとよい。
下記式(1’)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A’)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B’)との差が0.05以下となる第1の含水性軟質素材、第2の含水性軟質素材及び水和処理液の組み合わせ、特に水和処理液を選択して用いるとよい。
サイズ変化率=水和処理液による水和処理後のプレートの水和処理液に浸漬した状態での直径(mm)/水和処理前のプレートの直径(mm) ・・・ (1’)
試験試料を製造方法(1)に対応した以下の手順で作製した(図1~図4参照)。
1.表1の組成に従って第1の硬化性組成物を調製した。なお、表中の配合比は全て質量部である(以下、本実施例において同様)。ポリプロピレン(PP)カップ1に、調製した第1の硬化性組成物2を充填後、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルム3で密閉し、60℃で1時間、その後80℃で1時間熱重合した(第1含水性軟質素材形成工程:図1参照)。
2.表1の組成に従って第2の硬化性組成物を調製した。
3.重合させた中心材(第1の含水性軟質素材2’)をPPカップ1から取り出し、図2のように3つの径を持った同軸円柱体(a、b、c)からなる積層構造に加工(フタ加工)した。同軸円柱体a、b、cのサイズは以下の通りである。
a:径・厚みは任意。
b:径は周辺部重合時に使用するPPカップ4の内径に等しい。厚みは0.3mm。
c:径は7mm。厚みは3mm。
4.新しいポリプロピレン(PP)カップ4に第2の硬化性組成物5を充填し、上記3.で作製したフタ加工した中心材(第1の含水性軟質素材2’)で密閉し60℃で1時間、その後80℃で1時間熱重合した(第2含水性軟質素材形成工程:図3参照)。
5.上記4.で作製した2種材ブランクス(一体化した第1の含水性素材2’及び第2の含水性軟質素材5’を備える形成体)を切削してプレート6を作製した(φ12mm、厚み0.2mm)(図4参照)。
6.上記5.で作製したプレート6を、表2に記載の水和処理液に浸漬して40℃にて静置した。
7.1日後、プレート6を取り出して蒸留水ですすいだ後、20℃の生理食塩水に浸漬して静置して、製造例1~6のプレートを得た。
上記<<試験試料作製>>の工程1、4の熱重合条件に従って表1の組成に基づいて中央部を形成する素材(第1の含水性軟質素材)C1~C2及び周辺部を形成する素材P1~P4(第2の含水性軟質素材)の単一素材のプレート(乾燥状態で直径12mm、厚み0.2mm)を作製した。そのプレートの水和処理後での直径を、20℃にて生理食塩水に浸漬した状態で、投影機((株)ニコン製、PROFILE PROJECTOR V-12B)にて測定した。得られた値を用い、以下の式に従ってサイズ変化率及びサイズ変化率比B/Aを算出した。
サイズ変化率比=B/A
ここで、A:中央部素材(第1の含水性軟質素材)のサイズ変化率
B:周辺部素材(第2の含水性軟質素材)のサイズ変化率
いずれも目視判断による。結果を表1に示す。
○:溶解後の配合液が透明である。
×:溶解後の配合液に白濁が認められる。
透明性(dry)は水和処理前、透明性(wet)は水和処理後の透明性を目視判断した。
○:得られたレンズ(プレート)が透明である。
×:得られたレンズ(プレート)に白濁が認められる。
○:切削が容易であり、切削面の光沢が大きい。
×:切削が困難であり、切削面の光沢がやや小さいかそれ以下である。
水和処理後のプレートを目視にて観察した。結果を表2に示す。
SiSt:トリス(トリメチルシロキシ)シリルスチレン
SiMA:トリス(トリメチルシロキシ)シリルプロピルメタクリレート
シロキサンマクロモノマー:下記式で表されるウレタン結合含有ポリジメチルシロキサンマクロモノマー
N-VP:N-ビニルピロリドン
MAA:メタクリル酸
EDMA:エチレングリコールジメタクリレート
VBMA:下記式で表される4-ビニルベンジルメタクリレート
下記表3の組成から選択した中心部素材(第1の含水性軟質素材)と周辺部素材(第2の含水性軟質素材)とを組み合わせて、前述した試験試料作成方法に準じて実施例1~4及び比較例1のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを作成した。各ハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズにおける中心部素材(第1の含水性軟質素材)と周辺部素材(第2の含水性軟質素材)との組合せを表4に記載した。なお、今回は、試験試料作成方法の5.において、形成体をプレート状ではなく、レンズ状に切削して成形した。
試料:
1)下記表3記載の組成で製作した単一素材からなるレンズ
2)上記実施例1~4及び比較例1のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズ
オートクレーブ処理条件:
生理食塩水(約3mL)の入ったガラスバイアル瓶にレンズ1枚を入れ、高圧蒸気滅菌装置(平山製作所製 model SM-18)を用いて、オートクレーブ処理(121℃、20min.)を行った。
室温まで徐冷した後レンズを取り出して外観を確認し、以下の判定基準にて評価した。結果を表3及び表4に示す。
判定基準:
○:透明で、かつ変形が生じなかった、或いは、透明で、かつコンタクトレンズとして許容できる変形であった。
×:白濁またはコンタクトレンズとして許容できない変形を生じた。
HEMA:2-ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレート
HOB:ヒドロキシブチルメタクリレート
これら以外の成分の化合物名又は化学構造は前述したとおりである。
装置:(株)ニコン製 投影機V-12B
浸透圧計 東亜電波工業(株)製 HSM-1
方法:乾燥状態で直径12mm、厚さ0.2mmのポリマープレートを各浸透液(水和処理液)に浸漬したときの直径を測定した。
装置:(株)島津理化製 万能試験機 オートグラフAG-IS MS型
:アズワン(株)製 低温恒温水槽 CB-302
ロードセル:100N
引張り速さ:20mm/min(C1は1mm/min)
温度:20℃
治具:厚さ0.3mm
試料形状:ダンベル(幅約2mm 治具間距離約4mm)
方法:20℃の生理食塩水中で測定
次に、製造方法(2)として、以下の手順にて、ハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを製造した。
1.表8の組成に従って、第1の硬化性組成物を調製した。この第1の硬化性組成物をガラス製試験管に注入し、30℃で24時間、50℃で24時間加熱して重合を行い、棒状の重合体(レンズ中央部用の第1の含水性軟質素材)を得た(第1含水性軟質素材形成工程)。
2.表8の組成に従って、第2の硬化性組成物を調製した。この第2の硬化性組成物をガラス製試験管に注入し、30℃で24時間、50℃で24時間加熱して重合を行い、棒状の重合体(レンズ周辺部用の第2の含水性軟質素材)を得た(第2含水性軟質素材形成工程)。
3.1.及び2.で得られた各棒状の重合体を厚み4mmになるように切断し、プレート状のレンズ中央部用の第1の含水性軟質素材及びレンズ周辺部用の第2の含水性軟質素材を得た。
4.表9の組成に従って、第3の硬化性組成物を調製した。この第3の硬化性組成物を上述のプレート状のレンズ中央部用の第1の含水性軟質素材及びレンズ周辺部用の第2の含水性軟質素材の片面にそれぞれ塗布した。
5.第3の硬化性組成物を含浸させるため塗布後2分経過後、塗布面同士を接触させて両素材を重ね合わせて、3分間静置した。
6.5で作成した一体となったブロックを、アイグラフィックス(株)製の紫外線硬化装置を用いて20分間UV照射を行い、接合層を介して一体化された第1の含水性素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を備える形成体を得た。
7.6で得た形成体を切削によってレンズ形状に加工しハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを得た(成形工程)。この乾燥状態のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを2%NaHCO3aqに浸漬して60℃にて静置した。

HMPPO:2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-1-フェニルプロパン-1-オン
これら以外の成分の化合物名又は化学構造は前述したとおりである。
評価方法:
○:変形が生じなかった、または、コンタクトレンズとして許容できる変形であった。
×:コンタクトレンズとして許容できない変形を生じた。
次に、製造方法(3)として、以下の手順にて、ハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを製造した。
1.上記表9の組成に従って第3の硬化性組成物を調製した。この第3の硬化性組成物に対して、アイグラフィックス(株)製の紫外線硬化装置を用いて20分間UV照射を行い、表11の各厚みのプレート状の接合層を得た。
2.上記表8の組成に従って第1の硬化性組成物を調製した。この第1の硬化性組成物をポリプロピレン(PP)カップに充填し、1.で得た接合層でカップを覆って密閉した。この密閉したカップを40℃で1時間、50℃で2時間、60℃で2時間、90℃で30分加熱して重合させ、第1の含水性軟質素材と接合層とが一体となったブロックを得た(第1含水性軟質素材形成工程)。
3.上記表8の組成に従って第2の硬化性組成物を調製した。この第2の硬化性組成物を新たなポリプロピレン(PP)カップに充填し、2.で得たブロックで、接合層が第2の硬化性組成物と接触するようにカップを覆って密閉した。この密閉したカップを40℃で1時間、50℃で2時間、60℃で2時間、90℃で30分加熱して重合させ、第1の含水性軟質素材と接合層と第2の含水性軟質素材とが一体となった形成体を得た(第2含水性軟質素材形成工程)。
4.3.で得た形成体を切削によってレンズ形状に加工しハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを得た(成形工程)。このハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを2%NaHCO3aqに浸漬して60℃にて静置した。

Claims (15)
- 第1の含水性軟質素材から形成される中央部と、第2の含水性軟質素材から形成される周辺部とを備え、上記第1の含水性軟質素材がシリコーン含有モノマーを含む第1の硬化性組成物を硬化して得られるハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズ。
- 上記第1の含水性軟質素材のヤング率が3.0MPa以上100MPa以下であり、上記第2の含水性軟質素材のヤング率が0.20MPa以上3.0MPa未満である請求項1に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズ。
- 下記式(1)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B)との差が0.05以下である請求項1又は請求項2に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズ。
サイズ変化率=水和処理後のプレートの20℃にて生理食塩水に浸漬した状態での直径(mm)/水和処理前のプレートの直径(mm) ・・・ (1) - 上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A)に対する上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B)の比(B/A)が0.94以上1.06以下である請求項3に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズ。
- 第1の含水性軟質素材から形成される中央部と、第2の含水性軟質素材から形成される周辺部とを備え、上記第1の含水性軟質素材がシリコーン含有モノマーを含む第1の硬化性組成物を硬化して得られるハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法において、
第1の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、レンズ中央部用の上記第1の含水性軟質素材を形成する第1含水性軟質素材形成工程と、
第2の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、レンズ周辺部用の上記第2の含水性軟質素材を形成する第2含水性軟質素材形成工程と、
この第1の含水性軟質素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を備える形成体をコンタクトレンズ形状に成形する成形工程と
を有するハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法。 - 上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程において、一方の工程を先に行い、形成された一方の含水性軟質素材に他方の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で他方の工程を行う請求項6に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法。
- 上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程後に、形成された第1の含水性軟質素材及び第2の含水性軟質素材を、第3の硬化性組成物を介して接着させることにより両含水性軟質素材を一体化させる工程
を有する請求項6に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法。 - 上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程及び第2含水性軟質素材形成工程前に、第3の硬化性組成物を硬化させて、平均厚さ0.5mm以下の接合層を形成する工程を有し、
上記第1含水性軟質素材形成工程をこの接合層の一の面に第1の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で行い、
上記第2含水性軟質素材形成工程をこの接合層の他の面に第2の硬化性組成物を接触させた状態で行う請求項6に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法。 - 下記式(1)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B)との差が0.05以下である請求項6から請求項9のいずれか1項に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法。

- コンタクトレンズ形状に成形された上記形成体を水和処理液に浸漬することにより水和処理する工程

下記式(1’)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A’)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B’)との差が0.05以下となる第1の含水性軟質素材、第2の含水性軟質素材及び水和処理液の組み合わせを用いる請求項6から請求項11のいずれか1項に記載のハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの製造方法。

- 第1の含水性軟質素材から形成される中央部と、第2の含水性軟質素材から形成される周辺部とを備え、上記第1の含水性軟質素材がシリコーン含有モノマーを含む第1の硬化性組成物を硬化して得られるハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズを水和処理液に浸漬する水和処理方法において、
下記式(1’)に従った上記第1の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(A’)と上記第2の含水性軟質素材のサイズ変化率(B’)との差が0.05以下となる水和処理液を用いるハイブリッドソフトコンタクトレンズの水和処理方法。
