Description
本発明は、CCTV(Closed-circuit Television)カメラ等の撮像装置において、レンズユニットを構成するレンズと撮像素子との距離を調整するバックフォーカス調整機構に関する。
CCTVカメラ等の撮像装置は、CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)イメージセンサ等の撮像素子が内蔵された機器本体と、レンズユニットとを具え、機器本体には、その前面側にレンズユニットを取り付けるためのマウント部が配備されており、該マウント部の前面側には雌ネジ部が形成される一方、前記レンズユニットには、マウント部の雌ネジ部に螺合する雄ネジ部が形成されている。
この種の撮像装置において、従来は、マウント部の外周面側にリング部材が配備され、該リング部材の内周面に雌ネジ部が形成される一方、マウント部の外周面に、リング部材の雌ネジ部に螺合する雄ネジ部が形成されていた。又、リング部材の背面側には、リング部材から一定の距離だけ背面側に後退した位置に撮像素子を保持する保持機構が配備されていた。
そして、上記マウント部の雄ネジ部と、リング部材と、保持機構とによって、撮像装置のバックフォーカス調整機構が構成されていた。即ち、リング部材を回転させることにより、リング部材は前進又は後退し、これによってレンズユニットを構成するレンズと撮像素子との間の距離が調整されることになる。
しかしながら、従来のバックフォーカス調整機構においては、マウント部に、上述の如くバックフォーカス調整用の雄ネジ部を、レンズユニット取り付け用の雌ネジ部とは別に形成する必要があり、バックフォーカス調整機構の製造が煩雑となっていた。
そこで本発明においては、撮像装置において容易に形成することが出来るバックフォーカス調整機構を提供する。
本発明に係る撮像装置のバックフォーカス調整機構は、撮像素子が内蔵された機器本体とレンズユニットとを具えた撮像装置において、前記レンズユニットを構成するレンズと撮像素子との距離を調整するバックフォーカス調整機構である。
ここで、機器本体には、その前面側にレンズユニットを取り付けるためのマウント部が配備され、該マウント部の前面側には雌ネジ部が形成される一方、前記レンズユニットには、前記雌ネジ部に螺合する雄ネジ部が形成されている。バックフォーカス調整機構は、前記マウント部の背面側に形成されて前記雌ネジ部と連続する第2の雌ネジ部と、前記マウント部の背面側に配備されて前記レンズの光軸周りに回転可能なリング部材と、該リング部材から一定の距離を背面側に後退した位置に前記撮像素子を保持する保持機構とを具え、前記リング部材には、前記第2の雌ネジ部に螺合する第2の雄ネジ部が形成されている。

上記バックフォーカス調整機構においては、第2の雄ネジ部が第2の雌ネジ部にねじ込まれる回転方向にリング部材を回転させることにより、リング部材は前進し、前記回転方向とは逆の回転方向にリング部材を回転させることにより、リング部材は後退することになる。一方、撮像素子は、保持機構によってリング部材から一定の距離を背面側に後退した位置に保持されているので、リング部材の前進又は後退に追従して撮像素子は前進又は後進することになる。

又、上述の如くマウント部に1つの雌ネジを貫通させて上記雌ネジ部と第2の雌ネジ部とを形成することにより、バックフォーカス調整用の第2の雌ネジ部は、レンズユニットの雄ネジ部が螺合する雌ネジ部と同等の精度を有することになる。

該具体的構成によれば、バネ部材の付勢力によってシャーシがリング部材に押圧されるので、リング部材が前進又は後退する何れの場合であっても、リング部材に対するシャーシの相対位置は変わることがない。従って、撮像素子は、リング部材から一定の距離を背面側に後退した位置に保持されることになる。

該具体的構成によれば、モータの回転角度に応じてリング部材の光軸に沿う位置が変化し、その結果、撮像素子の光軸に沿う位置も変化することになる。即ち、撮像素子の光軸に沿う位置は、モータの回転角度に応じて変化することになる。従って、モータの回転角度を調整することにより、バックフォーカスを調整することが出来る。
より具体的な構成において、上記バックフォーカス調整機構は、前記撮像素子から出力される画像信号の高周波成分の成分量を計測する計測部と、該計測部によって計測される前記成分量が最大となる様にモータの回転角度を制御するオートフォーカス部とを更に具えている。
該具体的構成によれば、上述の如くモータの回転角度を制御することにより、バックフォーカスが自動的に調整されることになる。

以下、本発明の実施の形態につき、図面に沿って具体的に説明する。
本発明の一実施形態に係るバックフォーカス調整機構は、図1に示す如くCMOSイメージセンサ(3)が内蔵された機器本体(1)とレンズユニット(2)とを具えた撮像装置(10)において、レンズユニット(2)を構成するレンズ(図示せず)とCMOSイメージセンサ(3)との距離を調整するための機構であり、その外観が図6に示されている。
本発明の一実施形態に係るバックフォーカス調整機構は、図1に示す如くCMOSイメージセンサ(3)が内蔵された機器本体(1)とレンズユニット(2)とを具えた撮像装置(10)において、レンズユニット(2)を構成するレンズ(図示せず)とCMOSイメージセンサ(3)との距離を調整するための機構であり、その外観が図6に示されている。
機器本体(1)には、その前面側にレンズユニット(2)を取り付けるためのマウント部(4)が配備され、該マウント部(4)には、図3に示す如く、これを前面(4a)から背面(4b)まで貫通する貫通孔(43)が開設されており、該貫通孔(43)の内面壁には、その少なくとも一部の領域に、連続する1つの雌ネジ(44)が形成されている。
一方、レンズユニット(2)には、図1に示す様に、雌ネジ(44)にマウント部(4)の前面(4a)側から螺合する雄ネジ部(21)が形成されている。雄ネジ部(21)は、雌ネジ(44)の一部の領域にのみ螺合する高さ寸法を有しており、該雌ネジ(44)には、マウント部(4)へのレンズユニット(2)の装着時においてレンズユニット(2)の雄ネジ部(21)が螺合することのない領域が存在している。
斯くして、マウント部(4)の雌ネジ(44)は、レンズユニット(2)の雄ネジ部(21)が螺合する領域を形成する雌ネジ部(41)と、レンズユニット(2)の雄ネジ部(21)が螺合することのない領域を形成すると共に前記雌ネジ部(41)と連続する第2の雌ネジ部(42)とから構成されている。
マウント部(4)の背面側には、図3~図5に示す如く、レンズの光軸(91)(図1参照)周りに回転可能なリング部材(5)が配備されている。該リング部材(5)は、光軸(91)周りに回転する平歯車によって構成されており、該平歯車の前面側には、第2の雌ネジ部(42)に螺合する第2の雄ネジ部(51)が形成されている。
従って、第2の雄ネジ部(51)が第2の雌ネジ部(42)にねじ込まれる回転方向にリング部材(5)を回転させることにより、リング部材(5)は、図7に示す如く前進することになる。一方、前記回転方向とは逆の回転方向にリング部材(5)を回転させることにより、リング部材(5)は、図8に示す如く後退することになる。
リング部材(5)の背面側には、図3~図5に示す如く、光軸(91)に沿って移動可能なシャーシ(61)が配備され、該シャーシ(61)は、機器本体(1)に固定されるべきプレート(63)に支持された複数の圧縮バネ(62)によってリング部材(5)へ向けて付勢されている。そして、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)は、光軸(91)上の位置にてシャーシ(61)に搭載されている。
ここで、リング部材(5)の背面には、図3及び図5に示す如く光軸(91)を中心とする円筒状の係合部(52)が突設される一方、シャーシ(61)の前面には、図3及び図4に示す如くリング部材(5)の係合部(52)が係合する係合受け部(64)が凹設されており、図3に示す様に該係合受け部(64)の内周面は、係合部(52)の外周面に摺接している。
従って、リング部材(5)の係合部(52)とシャーシ(61)の係合受け部(64)は、互いに係合した状態で、光軸(91)周りに相対回転することが可能である。

上述の如くシャーシ(61)は、圧縮バネ(62)によってリング部材(5)へ向けて付勢されているので、リング部材(5)の回転によって該リング部材(5)が前進又は後退する何れの場合であっても、リング部材(5)の係合部(52)とシャーシ(61)の係合受け部(64)との係合が、圧縮バネ(62)の付勢力により維持されることになる。従って、リング部材(5)に対するシャーシ(61)の相対位置は変わることがなく、その結果、シャーシ(61)に搭載されているCMOSイメージセンサ(3)は、リング部材(5)から一定の距離を背面側に後退した位置に保持されることとなる。
斯くして、上述したシャーシ(61)と複数の圧縮バネ(62)とによって、リング部材(5)から一定の距離を背面側に後退した位置にCMOSイメージセンサ(3)を保持する保持機構(6)が構成されている。
そして、図3及び図6に示す様に、マウント部(4)の背面側に形成されている第2の雌ネジ部(42)と、リング部材(5)と、保持機構(6)とによって、本実施形態に係るバックフォーカス調整機構が構成されている。

上記バックフォーカス調整機構においては、上述の如く、リング部材(5)を回転させることにより、リング部材(5)が、図7に示す如く前進し、又は図8に示す如く後退する。一方、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)は、保持機構(6)によってリング部材(5)から一定の距離を背面側に後退した位置に保持されているので、リング部材(5)の前進又は後退に追従してCMOSイメージセンサ(3)は前進又は後進することになる。
従って、リング部材(5)を回転させることにより、レンズユニット(2)を構成するレンズとCMOSイメージセンサ(3)との間の距離、即ちバックフォーカスが、調整されることになる。

CMOSイメージセンサ(3)が搭載されているシャーシ(61)には更に、図6に示す如く、モータ(7)と、リング部材(5)を構成している平歯車にモータ(7)の回転力を伝達する歯車機構(71)とが搭載されている。
この様にリング部材(5)をモータ(7)によって駆動する構成においては、モータ(7)の回転角度に応じてリング部材(5)の光軸(91)に沿う位置が変化し、その結果、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)の光軸(91)に沿う位置も変化することになる。即ち、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)の光軸(91)に沿う位置は、モータ(7)の回転角度に応じて変化することになる。従って、モータ(7)の回転角度を調整することにより、バックフォーカスを調整することが出来る。
又、シャーシ(61)の前面には更に、図4に示す如く、係合受け部(64)と重なってガイド溝(65)が形成されており、該ガイド溝(65)は、係合受け部(64)にリング部材(5)の係合部(52)が係合したとき、該係合部(52)とガイド溝(65)の底面との間に隙間が形成されるような深さ寸法を有している。
そして、図3に示す様に、ガイド溝(65)には、その底面と係合部(52)との間に形成される上記隙間に、スライド部材(66)が配備されており、該スライド部材(66)は、ガイド溝(65)に沿って光軸(91)に垂直な方向へスライドすることが可能である。
スライド部材(66)には、図4に示す様に、赤外線カットフィルタ(671)と、該赤外線カットフィルタ(671)と同等の厚さを有するガラス板(672)が配備されており、赤外線カットフィルタ(671)とガラス板(672)は、スライド部材(66)のスライド方向に並んで配置されている。従って、スライド部材(66)をスライドさせることにより、光軸(91)上の位置に、赤外線カットフィルタ(671)とガラス板(672)とを選択的に配置することが可能である。
尚、本実施形態に係る撮像装置(10)は、モータ(72)の駆動力によってスライド部材(66)がスライドする構成を有している。

昼間に撮像装置(10)によって画像を取得する場合、レンズユニット(2)から取り込まれる光には可視光と赤外線が含まれているため、その光をそのままCMOSイメージセンサ(3)に与えると、赤外線がノイズとなって画像に現れる。従って、昼間においては、光軸(91)上に赤外線カットフィルタ(671)が配置される。これにより、レンズユニット(2)から取り込まれた光は、赤外線カットフィルタ(671)によって赤外線が除去されてCMOSイメージセンサ(3)に与えられることになる。その結果、ノイズの少ない画像の取得が可能となる。
一方、夜間に撮像装置(10)によって画像を取得する場合、レンズユニット(2)から取り込まれる光には可視光が殆ど含まれなくなるので、赤外線を用いて画像を生成する必要がある。従って、夜間においては、光軸(91)上にガラス板(672)が配置され、これにより、レンズユニット(2)から取り込まれた光は、そのままCMOSイメージセンサ(3)に与えられることになる。その結果、赤外線からの画像の生成が可能となる。
しかしながら、赤外線カットフィルタ(671)をガラス板(672)に変更、或いはガラス板(672)を赤外線カットフィルタ(671)に変更した場合、バックフォーカスがずれることになる。この様な場合であっても、上述したバックフォーカス調整機構によれば、バックフォーカスを調整することが出来る。
その他、撮像装置の工場から出荷時、撮像装置の設置時、レンズユニットの変更時、被写体の変更時等においても、上記バックフォーカス調整機構によってバックフォーカスを調整することが出来る。

上記バックフォーカス調整機構によれば、マウント部(4)に1つの雌ネジ(44)を貫通させて形成するだけで、雌ネジ部(41)と第2の雌ネジ部(42)とが形成されることになる。よって、従来のバックフォーカス調整機構の如くマウント部に雌ネジ部とは別に雄ネジ部が形成されている構成と比較して、本実施形態に係るバックフォーカス調整機構は、撮像装置(10)において容易に形成することが出来る。
又、上述の如くマウント部(4)に1つの雌ネジ(44)を貫通させて雌ネジ部(41)と第2の雌ネジ部(42)とを形成することにより、バックフォーカス調整用の第2の雌ネジ部(42)は、レンズユニット(2)の雄ネジ部(21)が螺合する雌ネジ部(41)と同等の精度を有することになる。
又、上述の如くマウント部(4)に1つの雌ネジ(44)を貫通させて雌ネジ部(41)と第2の雌ネジ部(42)とを形成することにより、バックフォーカス調整用の第2の雌ネジ部(42)は、レンズユニット(2)の雄ネジ部(21)が螺合する雌ネジ部(41)と同等の精度を有することになる。
次に、上記バックフォーカス調整機構の制御手続きを、図9に示すフローチャートに沿って説明する。尚、バックフォーカス調整機構の制御手続きは、撮像装置(10)に内蔵されているCPU(Central Processing Unit)(図示せず)によって実行される。
バックフォーカス調整機構の制御手続きが開始すると、先ずステップS1において、モータ(7)を回転させることにより、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)を、光軸(91)に沿う可動域にて往復移動させる。このとき、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)から出力される画像信号の高周波成分の成分量(以下、「AF評価値」と呼ぶ。)を、モータ(7)の回転角度と関連付けて計測する。即ち、CPUは、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)から出力されるAF評価値を計測する計測部として機能する。
次にステップS2において、ステップS1にて計測されたAF評価値から、AF評価値が最大となるモータ(7)の回転角度θ1を算出し、該回転角度θ1までモータ(7)を回転させる。即ち、CPUは、AF評価値が最大となる様にモータ(7)の回転角度を制御するオートフォーカス部として機能する。
最後にステップS3において、ステップS2にて算出したモータ(7)の回転角度θ1を、撮像装置(10)に内蔵されているメモリ(図示せず)に記録し、これによってバックフォーカス調整機構の制御手続きが完了する。
上述したバックフォーカス調整機構の制御手続きによれば、バックフォーカスが自動的に調整されることになる。この様にバックフォーカスの自動的な調整を可能にすることにより、操作者の手を煩わすことなくバックフォーカスの正確な調整が可能となる。
尚、本発明の各部構成は上記実施形態に限らず、特許請求の範囲に記載の技術的範囲内で種々の変形が可能である。例えば、上記実施形態にて説明したバックフォーカス調整機構の制御手続きは、一例であり、本発明はこれに限られるものでない。又、上記実施形態に係るバックフォーカス調整機構においては、バックフォーカスの調整を自動的に実行することが可能であるが、勿論、上記バックフォーカス調整機構を用いて、手動によってバックフォーカスを調整してもよい。
又、上記実施形態に係るバックフォーカス調整機構は、CCTVカメラ等、種々の撮像装置に適用することが出来る。又、上記実施形態においては、CMOSイメージセンサ(3)を撮像素子として採用したが、本発明はこれに限られるものではなく、CCD(Charge Coupled Device)イメージセンサ等、種々の撮像素子を採用することが出来る。

Claims (5)
- 撮像素子が内蔵された機器本体とレンズユニットとを具え、機器本体には、その前面側にレンズユニットを取り付けるためのマウント部が配備され、該マウント部の前面側には雌ネジ部が形成される一方、前記レンズユニットには、前記雌ネジ部に螺合する雄ネジ部が形成されている撮像装置において、前記レンズユニットを構成するレンズと撮像素子との距離を調整するバックフォーカス調整機構であって、
前記マウント部の背面側に形成されて前記雌ネジ部と連続する第2の雌ネジ部と、前記マウント部の背面側に配備されて前記レンズの光軸周りに回転可能なリング部材と、該リング部材から一定の距離を背面側に後退した位置に前記撮像素子を保持する保持機構とを具え、前記リング部材には、前記第2の雌ネジ部に螺合する第2の雄ネジ部が形成されていることを特徴とする撮像装置のバックフォーカス調整機構。 - 前記保持機構は、前記リング部材の背面側に配備されて前記光軸に沿って移動可能なシャーシと、該シャーシをリング部材へ向けて付勢するバネ部材とから構成されており、前記撮像素子はシャーシに搭載されている請求項1に記載の撮像装置のバックフォーカス調整機構。
- 前記リング部材とシャーシには、互いに係合する係合部と係合受け部が形成されており、該係合部と係合受け部は、これらが前記光軸周りに相対回転することが可能な形状を有している請求項1又は請求項2に記載の撮像装置のバックフォーカス調整機構。
- 前記リング部材は、前記光軸周りに回転する歯車によって構成され、該歯車の前面側に前記第2の雄ネジ部が形成されており、該リング部材を構成する歯車にはモータの回転力が伝達される請求項1乃至請求項3の何れかに記載の撮像装置のバックフォーカス調整機構。
- 前記撮像素子から出力される画像信号の高周波成分の成分量を計測する計測部と、該計測部によって計測される前記成分量が最大となる様にモータの回転角度を制御するオートフォーカス部とを更に具える請求項4に記載の撮像装置のバックフォーカス調整機構。
