Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von von Methylendiphenyldiamin (MDA) umfassend die folgenden Schritte a) bis c): a) Umsetzung von Formaldehyd und Anilin zu Aminal b) Entfernen von Wasser aus dem in Schritt a) erhaltenem Aminal, wobei ein Wassergehalt von 0 bis 5 Gew.-% bezogen auf das Aminal eingestellt wird, und c) Zugabe eines sauren Katalysators zum Aminal mit einem Wassergehalt von 0 bis 5 Gew.-%, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in Schritt a) Formaldehyd als hochkonzentrierter Formaldehyd mit einem CH2O-Gehalt > 50 Gew.-% eingesetzt und der Formaldehyd durch oxidative Dehydrierung aus Methanol hergestellt wird.
