なお、前記励起光検出部60は、例えば、レーザダイオード21の近傍に設けられ、第一の光センサ60aと、第二の光センサ60bとを有する。ここで、前記第一の光センサ60aは、励起光の内、レーザ光と略等しい波長の光量を検出するフォトダイオードである。前記第二の光センサ60bは、励起光の内、レーザ光の波長以外の波長の光量を検出するフォトダイオードである。その他の前記励起光検出部60の詳細な構成は、前記光検出部30の詳細な構成に準ずるため、詳細な構成の記載は省略する。つまり、前記第一の光センサ60a及び第二の光センサ60bから出力される検出信号は、増幅器(不図示)によって増幅される。その後、前記検出信号は、信号ライン(不図示)によって伝送される。さらに、前記検出信号は、増幅器(不図示)によって増幅され、ADコンバータ(不図示)でAD変換されて制御部8に入力される。
さらに、前記励起光検出部60の設置場所は、前記光源部21の近傍で前記光源部21の基端側、前記光源部21の近傍で前記光源部21の先端側、前記蛍光部材22、41の近傍で前記蛍光部材22、41の基端側に設置されても良い。
また、上記複数の、前記光検出部30、及び、前記励起光検出部60の設置場所に設置される検出部は、少なくとも、前記光検出部30、又は、前記励起光検出部60のどちらか一方であれば良い。
この発明に係る照明装置1a、50aにおいて、複数の前記光検出部30、及び、前記励起光検出部60の設置場所に、必ずしも複数の前記光検出部30、及び、前記励起光検出部60を設置する必要はない。すなわち、上記複数の前記光検出部30、及び、前記励起光検出部60の設置場所のいずれかに、少なくとも一つの前記光検出部30、又は、前記励起光検出部60のどちらか一方が設置されていれば良い。この場合、そこから得られる光量の検出結果に基づき、前記照明装置1a、50a、或いは、前記照明装置1a、50aの構成部材の劣化状態を診断することができる。
例えば、前記励起光検出部60を前記光源部21の近傍で前記光源部21の先端側に設置することによって、前記光源部21から発せられた直後の減衰していない状態の前記励起光を検出することができる。それゆえ、前記励起光の光量を正確に評価することができる。尚、この場合、前記励起光検出部60は、前記光源部21の近傍で前記光源部21の基端側に設けても良い。
上記に加え、さらに、前記励起光検出部60を前記蛍光部材22、41の近傍で前記蛍光部材22、41の基端側に設置する場合、以下の効果を奏する。つまり、2箇所に設置された前記励起光検出部60による光量の検出結果を比較することによって、介在する前記第一の光伝送部24,53の劣化状態を診断することができる。
上記に加え、更に、前記光検出部30を前記蛍光部材22、41の近傍の前記第二の光伝送部54の基端側と、前記第二の光伝送部54の先端側に設置した場合、以下の効果を奏する。つまり、前記第二の光伝送部54の基端側と先端側に設置された前記光検出部30による光量の検出結果を比較することによって、介在する前記第二の光伝送部54の劣化状態を診断することができる。
また、前記励起光検出部60を、前記蛍光部材22、41の近傍の基端側に設置し、前記励起光検出部30を、前記蛍光部材22、41の近傍のと先端側とに設置する場合、以下の効果を奏する。つまり、前記2箇所に設置された前記励起光検出部60、及び、前記光検出部30による光量の検出結果を比較することによって、介在する前記蛍光部材22、41の劣化状態を診断することができる。
また、前記励起光検出部60を、前記光源部21の近傍の先端側に設置し、前記光検出部30を、前記蛍光部材22、41の近傍の先端側に設置する場合、以下の効果を奏する。つまり、前記2箇所に設置された前記励起光検出部60、及び、前記光検出部30と、による光量の検出結果を比較することによって、光源から射出される励起光と、前記蛍光部材22、41から放出された照明光の光量を比較することができる。
また、前記光源部21の近傍に設置された前記励起光検出部60と、モニタ4に出力される映像とを比較することによって、前記照明装置1a、50a全体の劣化状態を診断することができる。
また、上記照明装置50aにおいて、前記蛍光部材41と、前記第一の光伝送部24,53とが、一体に形成されていても良い。
すなわち、図18において、蛍光部材41中の蛍光体80が、図18の部位Aに示すように、蛍光部材41を構成する樹脂70の先端側に偏析するように分布している場合について考える。つまり、前記蛍光部材41中の蛍光体80が、前記蛍光部材41の基端側から先端側に向け含有率が濃くなる濃度分布を有する場合は、当該樹脂70のうち、相対的に蛍光体80の含有比率の低い部位を第一の光伝送部24,53とみなすことができる。ここで、上述の相対的に蛍光体80の含有比率の低い部位とは、蛍光部材41の基端側(図18の部位B)である。
この場合、第一の光伝送部24,53は、石英などからなるファイバと比較して安価である。また仮に、外部応力により第一の光伝送部24,53が損傷を受けた場合であっても、石英と比較してヤング率の低い樹脂70を第一の光伝送部24,53として用いることにより、樹脂70が変形するため、第一の光伝送部24,53の損傷を抑制することができる。
また、上記照明装置1a、50aにおいて、前記光源部21はLEDであっても良い。
この場合、特に、LEDを構成する封止樹脂の劣化に起因した透光性低下を検知できるだけではなく、LEDとハロゲンランプとを比較して、LEDの方が安価で長寿命である。また、LEDを用いることで、従来よりも温度管理の煩雑さを低減することができる。
Claims (18)
- 励起光を射出する光源部と、
前記光源部からの前記励起光を導光する第一の光伝送部と、
前記励起光によって励起されて照明光を放出する蛍光部材と、
該蛍光部材から放出された前記照明光の光量を検出して検出信号を出力する光検出部と、を備えた照明装置。 - 前記蛍光部材からの前記照明光を導光する第二の光伝送部をさらに備え、
前記光検出部は、前記第二の光伝送部により導光される前記照明光の光量を検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記光源部から射出された前記励起光の光量、又は、前記第一の光伝送部により導光される前記励起光の光量を検出するための励起光検出部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 略筒状で前記蛍光部材を内部に収容し、基端部から前記励起光を入力させて、先端部から照明光を出力させるケースを備え、
前記光検出部は、該ケースに形成された検出口から外部へ漏れ出す照明光の一部を検出する請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 前記検出口は、前記ケースの前記照明光の射出方向に対する側面に形成されている請求項3に記載の照明装置。
- 前記蛍光部材は、前記励起光によって蛍光する蛍光体と、前記励起光を散乱させる光散乱体とが混合して形成されていて、
前記ケースの前記検出口は、前記蛍光部材と当接する側面に形成されている請求項4に記載の照明装置。 - 被検体の内部に挿入される細長の挿入部をさらに備え、前記検出口から外部へ漏れ出す照明光を前記挿入部の軸方向に反射させる反射手段と、
該反射手段で反射した前記照明光を前記軸方向に沿って導光する導光ロッドとを備え、
前記光検出部は、前記蛍光部材と前記軸方向に位置を異なるものとして、前記導光ロッドで導光された前記照明光を検出する請求項5又は6に記載の照明装置。 - 前記蛍光部材の近傍に設けられ、前記光検出部から出力された前記検出信号を増幅して伝送する増幅器を備える請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記光検出部は、前記照明光の光量を異なる波長領域に分離して検出可能に複数の光センサを有する請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記光検出部は、前記照明光の内、前記光源部から発せられる前記励起光の波長と略等しい波長の光量を検出する第一の光センサを有する請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記光検出部は、前記照明光の内、前記光源部から発せられる前記励起光の波長以外の波長の光量を検出する第二の光センサを有する請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第二の光伝送部は、前記蛍光部材よりも先端側に配設されている請求項2に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第一の光伝送部は、ライトガイドである請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 被検体の内部に挿入される細長の挿入部をさらに備えた請求項1に記載の照明装置と、
前記挿入部の先端に設けられ、前記被検体の内部を観察可能な観察手段とを備える内視鏡装置。 - 少なくとも、前記光検出部、又は、前記励起光検出部のどちらか一方を備え、
前記励起光検出部は、前記光源部の近傍で前記光源部の基端側、前記光源部の近傍で前記光源部の先端側、前記蛍光部材の近傍で前記蛍光部材の基端側のいずれか、および、その組合せ、に設置され、
前記光検出部は、前記蛍光部材の近傍で前記蛍光部材の先端側、前記第二の光伝送部の先端側のいずれか、および、その組合せ、に設置される、請求項3に記載の照明装置。 - 前記蛍光部材中の蛍光体が、その先端側に偏析するように分布し、前記蛍光部材のうち、相対的に蛍光体の含有比率の低い基端側部位を前記第一の光伝送部とする請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記光源部はLEDである請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 請求項15に記載の照明装置を用いて、複数個所に設置された前記光検出部、及び、前記励起光検出部から得られる光量の検出結果を比較することにより、前記照明装置、或いは、前記照明装置の構成部材の劣化状態を診断する照明装置の診断方法。
