Abstract

 加工穴径(D)に対する加工穴深さ(L)が15倍以上の加工において、切屑の噛み込みを抑制し、加工穴の真直度が得られるドリル径が1mm以下の深穴加工用小径ドリルを提供する。  小径ドリル1は、ドリル径2が1mm以下でドリル部5に切刃3と溝4を有している。溝4の溝長11はドリル径2の5倍以上10倍以下となっている。ドリル部5は、切刃3からドリル部5の後方に向かって縮径した後、溝4の終端での外径がドリル径2の0.9倍以上0.98倍以下となるように拡径し、シャンク7につながる首部6との間に、溝4の終端9での外径よりドリル径2の1倍以下まで拡径した拡径部10を備えている。首部6の直径はドリル径2より小さく、かつ、首部6の長さ12はドリル径2の10倍以上となっている。
