Abstract

対向配置されたアノード触媒層20及びカソード触媒層30と、アノード触媒層20及びカソード触媒層30の間に設けられた高分子電解質膜10と、を備える膜電極接合体1であって、アノード触媒層20は、イオン交換基を有する繰返し単位(a)とイオン交換基を有しない繰返し単位(b)とが、ランダム状又はブロック状に配置された重合体を含む重合体層20a,20bの複数からなり、高分子電解質膜10に最も近接した重合体層20aに含まれる重合体は、繰返し単位(a)及び(b)のブロック性が最も低い重合体である。
