Abstract

自家細胞等を用いて、がんの退縮あるいは良好なドラックデリバリー効果を有し、腫瘍内低酸素域の縮小ないし解除をもたらす抗がん療法を提供するものである。がん患者に対して、血管内皮前駆細胞を移植(経静脈的に投与)し、腫瘍増殖の抑制、血管密度の増加と血管径の拡大、腫瘍内の低酸素域の縮小を確認する。血管内皮前駆細胞としては、血管内皮前駆細胞を経静脈的に投与したときの拒絶反応を抑制しうる点で、がん患者由来の自家細胞を利用することが好ましく、自家細胞を利用する場合、患者の末梢血や骨髄から単核球を分離し、VEGFなどのサイトカインを含む血管内皮分化促進培地を用いて培養後に得られる付着細胞として回収した血管内皮前駆細胞を有利に用いることができる。
