Abstract

 タイヤ周方向の長さが異なる複数のブロックがタイヤ周方向に配列されたブロック列を有し、かつ、上記ブロック列の隣接する2つのブロックの蹴り出し端が一定の周期で形成されているトレッドパターンを有する接地状態推定用タイヤ20を用い、ナックル23に取付けられた加速度センサ11により、上記タイヤ20から上記ナックル23に伝播される上記蹴り出し端が順次路面から離れるときに発生する周期的な振動を検出して上記振動の周波数波形を求めるとともに、上記周波数波形の、車輪速センサ12により測定した車輪速Vと上記周期とから算出される検出周波数帯域における振動レベルを検出して、この振動レベルの大きさからタイヤの接地状態を推定することにより、タイヤにセンサを取付けることなく、走行中のタイヤの接地状態を精度よく推定することができる。
