Abstract

　本発明によれば、筒状の主体金具と、主体金具内に保持された筒状の絶縁碍子と、絶縁碍子内に保持され軸方向に延在する中心電極と、主体金具に固着された基端部と中心電極の先端部と間隔を設けて対向する先端部とを備えた屈曲形状の接地電極とを備え、接地電極は、基端部側に設けられた肉厚の厚い厚肉部と、先端部側に設けられた厚肉部よりも肉厚の薄い薄肉部と、中心電極と対向するように薄肉部に設けられた突起部と、厚肉部と薄肉部との間で接地電極の屈曲形状における最小曲率半径部と異なる位置に設けられた肉厚変化部とを有するスパークプラグが提供される。
