Abstract

 シリコンを活物質として用いた負極を備え、且つフッ素含有溶媒を含む非水溶媒を用いた非水電解液二次電池である。電池に対して電池容量の50%以上の充放電を少なくとも100回行った後に該電池から取り出された負極の活物質層に含まれるシリコンに対する、同活物質層に含まれるフッ素の量が、5~30重量%となるように構成されている。該電池はシリコンからなる活物質の粒子を集電体上に塗布して形成された塗膜に対して、pH7超のめっき浴を用いた電解めっきを行い、該粒子の表面に銅を析出させた後に、酸洗浄を行って負極を製造し、製造された該負極を、正極、セパレータ及びフッ素含有溶媒を含む非水電解液と共に用いて非水電解液二次電池を組み立て、組み立てられた電池の初回充電を、0.005~0.03Cの低レートで行うことで好適に製造される。
