Abstract

 線状光源装置(100)は、透明樹脂製の導光部材(120)と、この導光部材(120)に対して光を出射する発光素子(200)とを備えている。導光部材(120)は、柱状の本体部(130)と、この本体部(130)の両端に形成された第1の端部(121)と第2の端部(122)を備える。上記本体部(130)は、なめらかな鏡面状に形成された周面を有しており、その長手方向にわたる所定の帯状領域には、複数の凹部(131)または凸部(132)が形成されている。上記発光素子(200)から出射した光は、上記本体部(130)の長手方向にわたって、上記本体部(130)の上記帯状領域と対向する領域から出射する構成とされている。上記凹部(131)または凸部(132)は、上記帯状領域の幅方向に直線状に延びている。
