  • the invention relates to a method for producing a natural casing for casing food, in particular meat products.
  • Natural casings have been used for centuries to make sausages.
  • intestines of cattle, pigs and sheep are used.
  • beef intestine as a shell for high quality raw, cooked and cooked sausages of larger diameter, the intestine is usually not eaten.

  • Partial similar properties as natural intestines have the so-called collagen or protein intestines. But their production is also very expensive and polluting. On this basis, the object of the present invention is to develop a largely natural gut-like material that is inexpensive and environmentally friendly to produce.
  • This object is achieved in that is assumed by natural casings waste that crushed this waste and mixed into a mushy pulp and this pulp - optionally after further treatment - is extruded in an extruder by pressure to a film, after which the recovered film - If necessary, after further treatment - dried and finally confectioned.
