Abstract

L'invention concerne une matière dure frittée consistant principalement en une phase de carbure de tungstène, exempte de défauts structuraux tels que les pores (vides) et de phases anormales et présentant une dureté et un module d'Young élevés ainsi qu'un faible coefficient de dilatation thermique et une résistance à la fracture, une précision de surface traitée et une rugosité de surface excellentes. (W,M1)2CX (0,8≤X<1,0) est cristallisé en tant que seconde phase dans une phase de carbure de tungstène, la phase de WC étant une première phase. Ainsi, la résistance à la fracture de la phase de carbure de tungstène est améliorée. Le (W,M1)2CX (0,8≤X<1,0) est une solution solide de M1 constituée d'un ou de plusieurs éléments de métaux de transition autres que le tungstène dans les Groupes 4a, 5a, et 6a de la Classification Périodique, dans W2CX (0,8≤X<1,0).
