Abstract

 十分なコンパクト化を達成しつつ、レンズの製造難易度を従来と同程度に抑えた変倍光学系を提供する。変倍光学系は、物体側から順に、負の光学的パワーを有する第1レンズ群と、正の光学的パワーを有する第2レンズ群とを含み、広角端から望遠端への変倍時に第1レンズ群と第2レンズ群との間隔が狭くなる変倍光学系である。第1レンズ群は負レンズ及び正メニスカスレンズで、第2レンズ群は両凸正レンズ及び負メニスカスレンズで構成されている。そして、第1レンズ群のレンズ最前面から第1レンズ群のレンズ最後面までの光軸AX上の厚みをD1、当該変倍光学系の広角端での全光学系の合成焦点距離をfw、第2レンズ群の合成焦点距離をf2とするとき、次の関係を満たすように構成される。   0.5<D1/fw<0.8   0.7<f2/fw<2.0
