By changing the number and thickness of the spacer 18, the height of the fitting surface 11a can be changed from the level of mounting surface 4a.

- an eyebolt 24 fixing the drop guard piece 23 as shown in FIG. 4 may be provided to prevent passing of the rotary shaft 14 through the notch 22.
- the lifting jig 10 carrying the traction machine 5 can be rotated from the state pivotally supported in the first suspender 15 (the rotation support part) and suspended from the bracket, to the state to position the fitting surface 11a parallel to the mounting surface 4a of the traction machine pedestal 4, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the lifting jig 10 pushes the traction machine 5 up toward the ceiling 3 of the shaft 2.

- the chain block 40 is an example of a second lifting device used in a second lifting state. As shown in FIGS. 1, 8 and 9, an upper hook 41 as one end hook of the chain block 40 is hung on a second suspending anchor 7 provided above the rotation receiver 21 in the shaft 2, on the ceiling 3 of the shaft 2 in this embodiment. A lower hook 42 as the other end hook of the chain block 40 is hung on the second suspender 16 of the lifting jig 10.
- the pulley 50 is fixed to the bracket 20 and placed higher than the rotation receiver 21, higher than the mounting surface 4a of the traction machine pedestal 4 in this embodiment.
- a wire rope 32a extending from the other end hook 32 laid on the first suspender 15 is wound around the pulley 50.
- a bump stopper 4c is provided at the edge far from the side where the lifting jig 10 is placed. The bump stopper 4c prevents the traction machine 5 from being moved over the mounting position when it is transferred from the lifting jig 10.
- FIGS. 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 the joint between the rotation supporting part of the lifting jig 10 and the rotation receiver of the bracket 20 is explained as an engagement of the rotary shaft 14 with the rotation receiver 21 having the notch 22.
- This engagement may be replaced by other forms as long as the same function is obtained.
- a rotary device 25 is fixed to the bracket 20 as shown in FIG. 5.
- the rotary device 25 has a rotary piece 26 having a bolt hole 26a for connecting one end side of the lifting jig 10, and a rotation receiver 27 to pivotally support the rotary piece 26.
- the lifting jig 10 becomes rotatable around the rotation receiver 21 of the bracket 20 by being connected to the rotary piece 26.
- a similar rotary device that may be fixed to the lifting jig 10, and the rotary piece may be connected to the bracket 20.

- An eyebolt 5c is fitted in the bolt hole formed on the upper surface 5b of the traction machine 5.
- a lifting device such as a chain block 80 is temporarily installed in an elevator hall 8. A hook of the lifting device is hung on the eyebolt 5c, and the lifting jig 10 is lifted together with the traction machine 5.
- the hook 31 at one end side of the winch 30 is hung on the first suspending anchor 6 in the shaft 2, and the hook 32 at the other end side of the winch 30 is hung on the first suspender 15 of the lifting jig 10.
- the winch 30 is operated to wind up the wire rope 32a.
- the chain block 80 in the elevator hole 8 ' is operated to loosen a chain 81.
- the lifting jig 10 carrying the traction machine 5 is inclined and brought into the shaft 2 with the first suspender 15 faced up.
- a lifting device installed in the elevator hall 8 may use a temporary hoist, a winch, and a lever block instead of the chain block 80.
- the joining step is easy, because the rotary shaft 14 provided in the lifting jig 10 is simply fitted in the rotation receiver 21 of the bracket 20.
- the joining step may be performed by operating the winch 30 and forcing the lifting jig 10 in the horizontal direction by the operator. In this case, the chain block 40 becomes unnecessary in the connecting step! It is permitted to provide the rotary shaft 14 in the bracket 20, and the rotation receiver 21 in the lifting jig 10.
- the lifting jig 10 carrying the traction machine 5 is rotated around the rotation axis A of the rotary shaft 14 inserted in the rotation receiver 21 in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. 3.
- the traction machine 5 is pushed up by the lifting jig 10 to the position higher than the first suspender 15 and second suspenders 16.
- the moving step is performed in the state that the mounting surface 4a of the traction machine pedestal 4 is almost parallel to the fitting surface 11a of the lifting jig 10.
- the lifting jig 10 is held in a position in which the fitting surface 11a set horizontal, and the bolt fixing the traction machine 5 is removed.
- the fitting surface 11a is set to the same level or a little higher than the mounting surface 4a by the spacer 18 inserted between the traction machine fixing beam 11 of the lifting jig 10 and the rotary beam 13, concretely, between the intermediate beam 12 and rotary beam 13. Therefore, it is easy to slide the traction machine 5 from the lifting jig 10 to the traction machine pedestal 4.
- the traction machine 5 is guided by the guide lib provided in the traction machine fixing beam 11 of the lifting jig 10. This . prevents displacement of the traction machine while it is moved.
- the moving step may be performed in the state suspended by the chain block 40. It is preferable to provide a support to connect the lifting jig 10 to the bracket 20, for example.
- the traction machine installing apparatus 1 can also be used when moving down an existing traction machine in a renewal construction. In this case, set the fitting surface 11a of the lifting jig 10 to the same level or a little lower than the mounting surface 4a of the traction machine pedestal 4, by replacing (or removing) the spacer 18 inserted between the rotary beam 13 and traction machine fixing beam 11. By this setting, it becomes easy to slide the traction machine 5 from the traction machine pedestal 4 to the lifting jig 10. By reversing the above steps of traction machine mounting method, the traction machine 5 can be easily moved down from the traction machine pedestal 4.
- the winch 30 is used as a first lifting device in the first lifting state that it is hung between the first suspending anchor 6 and first suspender 15, and the chain block 40 is used as a second lifting device in the second lifting state that it is hung between the second suspending anchor 7 and second suspender 16.
- the lifting jig 10 is held in the bracket 20 by fitting the rotary shaft 14 in the rotation receiver 21. Therefore, after the winch 30 as a first lifting device is used in the first lifting state, it can be re-lifted and used in the second lifting state.
- the pulley 50 is fixed to the bracket 20, and can serve even if a support for the pulley 50 cannot be provided at an appropriate position in the shaft 2.
- the traction machine 5 can be easily moved up and down even if there is insufficient space to suspend a lifting device between the ceiling 3 of the elevator shaft 2 and the traction machine 5, or if a suspending anchor cannot be placed at an appropriate position on the ceiling 3 of the shaft 2 relative to the traction machine 5.
- the traction machine installing apparatus has a rotation supporting part and a first suspender in one end side opposite to and separated from a traction machine relative to the fitting surface, and has a second suspender at a position farther than the first suspender from the rotation supporting part and separated from the upper surface of a-traction machine mounted on the mounting surface toward the bottom side.
- the traction machine installing apparatus lifts a lifting jig by hanging a hook of a lifting device on the first suspender. Further, the traction machine installing apparatus hangs the hook of the lifting device on the second suspender, and lifts the lifting jig toward the ceiling of the shaft, after the rotation supporting part is pivotally supported by the rotation receiver.
- the traction machine installing apparatus is rotated until the fitting surface of the lifting jig becomes horizontal.
- the first and second suspenders are placed at the position separated from the upper surface of the traction machine mounted on the lifting jig toward the bottom side, that is, the position lower than the upper surface of the traction machine mounted on the traction machine pedestal.
- the traction machine installing apparatus can push up a traction machine higher than the rotation shaft by rotating the lifting jig.
- the traction machine installing apparatus can lift a traction machine to the traction machine pedestal provided below the ceiling of a shaft regardless of the horizontal placement of the traction machine, even if there is insufficient space to place a lifting device between the ceiling of an elevator shaft and a traction machine provided below the ceiling, and a suspending anchor for lifting cannot be placed.
