Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à la production de plasma comprenant une électrode de puissance cylindrique, une couche diélectrique recouvrant l'électrode de puissance, une électrode de terre à plasma auxiliaire (AP), une zone à écoulement gazeux permettant de fournir un gaz de réaction, ainsi qu'un contrôleur de puissance permettant de contrôler la puissance RF fournie à l'électrode de puissance, le plasma auxiliaire étant maintenu entre l'électrode de puissance et l'électrode de terre AP lorsque le dispositif fonctionne. Le dispositif peut produire du plasma à basse température et à pression atmosphérique et fournir un plasma stable à partir du plasma auxiliaire. Plus particulièrement, même si une puissance haute fréquence dont l'alimentation n'est pas stable est utilisée, le plasma auxiliaire fait office de source de plasma stable, ce qui permet de produire un plasma luminescent qui est appliqué uniformément sur une surface étendue.
