Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for detachably connecting at least two components of an extractor hood, in particular two facing parts. Furthermore, the invention relates to a chimney for an extractor hood and an extractor hood.
  • Extractor hoods that are not integrated in built-in cupboards are now equipped with a fireplace. Exhaust pipes leading to an exhaust opening in the wall or the ceiling can be accommodated in this chimney and the chimney can thus serve as decorative cladding.
  • the chimney can also serve as a ventilation shaft in order to guide the air emerging from a ventilation socket of the device of the extractor hood to outlet openings which can be provided in the upper region of the chimney. Since the chimney is in the field of vision of the user of an extractor hood, the demands on its external appearance are high. The chimney must also be adequately held.
  • the chimney In extractor hoods that are mounted on the wall, the chimney is usually formed by a box-shaped hollow part that is open on one long side in order to be able to pass this through possibly provided exhaust pipes. Such chimneys are attached to the wall by screwing a bracket, for example in the form of a rail, to the wall. The box-shaped hollow part is then connected to the rail by further screws. With this type of attachment, at least two screws are visible on the outside of the fireplace. With free-hanging extractor hoods, which are used, for example, over island hotplates, the chimney usually consists of two chimney halves. Two solutions are known for connecting these two chimney halves. According to one solution, the two halves of the chimney are glued together.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to create a possibility of being able to releasably connect components of an extractor hood, in particular chimney parts, wherein simple assembly of the components and the entire extractor hood is to be ensured.
