Definitions

  • the invention relates to a filter press for the filtration of suspensions with a package of vertically oriented filter plates, each of which includes a filter chamber between them in pairs, which is delimited on both sides by a filter cloth, which, starting from the lower ends of the filter plates, covers the filter mirror via a Above the filter plate arranged crossbar is guided, which is movable in the vertical direction when adjacent Filte ⁇ latten are transferred from a closed position in which the suspension can be inserted into the sealed filter chamber to an open position in which the Filte ⁇ latten have a drainage distance to each other in the horizontal direction and the filter cloth assumes a roof shape, the filter press further being provided with a discharge device for filter cakes adhering to the filter cloth, with which the filter cloth can be moved in an oscillating manner.
  • Such a well-known Filte ⁇ resse has a vibrating device, with which the cross members for deflecting the filter cloths, in which a so-called spreading cloth arrangement is present, are moved either individually or together in an oscillating vertical direction. Because of these shaking movements, the filter cake should be detached from the filter cloth and fall into a collecting device arranged below the filter press. In practice, however, it has been found that a detachment of the filter cake cannot be guaranteed with absolute certainty with every filter cake quality, so that filter cake residues often adhere to the filter cloth. This can disturb the proper course of the next filtration process, but at least the capacity of the filter chamber is restricted.
  • the invention has for its object to develop a Filte ⁇ resse with a filter cake dropping device so that a very reliable detachment of the filter cake from the filter cloth can be achieved in a simple manner, so that a fully automatic operation of the Filte ⁇ resse is ensured.
