Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de péage pour le prélèvement central de taxes dues par des véhicules utilisant un réseau routier à péage. Ce système comprend un réseau de téléphonie mobile (par exemple GSM), des dispositifs montés dans des véhicules respectifs pour assurer la communication dans ce réseau de téléphonie mobile, des dispositifs montés dans des véhicules respectifs pour la détermination de la position géographique (par exemple GPS) de chaque véhicule, ou bien des dispositifs de localisation montés côté réseau de téléphonie mobile, pour la détermination de données servant à la définition de ladite position géographique, et une centrale de calcul servant au prélèvement des taxes dues. Cette centrale de calcul comporte des dispositifs servant à la communication avec les dispositifs montés dans les véhicules, par l'intermédiaire du réseau de téléphonie mobile. Le système comporte également une carte routière numérique correspondant à la région du réseau routier à péage, ainsi que des données tarifaires pour l'utilisation dudit réseau routier à péage. La centrale de calcul définit également, à partir des données de position transmises par les dispositifs montés dans les véhicules respectifs, par l'intermédiaire du réseau de téléphonie mobile, et à partir des données obtenues par les dispositifs de localisation montés côté réseau, la position exacte de chaque véhicule ou bien le résultat de la localisation réalisée dans le dispositif monté dans un véhicule ou par les dispositifs de localisation montés côté réseau est transmis à la centrale de calcul. La centrale de calcul procède alors à une affectation non ambiguë de la position déterminée du véhicule concerné à une section de route (par exemple un tronçon compris entre deux entrées/sorties d'autoroute du réseau routier à péage), ou à une route sans péage et prélève, en conséquence, les taxes correspondant à l'utilisation effective des routes à péage par le véhicule concerné.
