  • One mould part has a close tolerance pin/holding fixture 4 which holds the thread insert/bushing 3 which is manufactured having an inner diameter approximating the outer diameter of the pin/holding fixture, mould part 2 is pressed against mould part 1, the thread insert 3 and the pin/holding fixture 4 in such a way that the play between the different parts is sufficiently small to prevent the casting material to penetrate the contact surface 10 between the thread insert's/bushing's 3 sealing surface 9 and the pin/holding fixture 4 and the contact surface 11 between the mould part 2 and the pin/holding fixture.
  • Another effect which can be accomplished using the method/device according to the invention is, because it is no longer necessary to use closed thread inserts/bushings, to use thread inserts/bushings 3 according to the invention which are cheaper to manufacture, partly because there is no need to drill them because it is perfectly possible to utilize, for example, drawn tubes, and partly because this results in less wasted material, thus the method/device according to the invention is also profitable even when there is no need for through holes.

Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant d'intégrer des inserts/douilles à filetage ouvert lors du coulage, du moulage par injection et du coulage sous pression de pièces. Ce procédé fait appel à un plan d'étanchéité (10) qui est défini entre l'insert ou douille à filetage (3) et une broche ou fixation de maintien (4). L'insert ou douille à filetage (3) comporte un plan d'étanchéité (9) qui se trouve à l'endroit où le filetage s'achève, et qui va assurer l'étanchéité contre la broche ou fixation de maintien (4)
