  • the invention relates to an anti-lock hydraulic brake system, with a master cylinder, with electrically actuable inlet and outlet valves for brake pressure modulation, with an electric motor-driven hydraulic pump for returning the pressure medium flowing out in the brake pressure reduction phases from the wheel brakes via the outlet valves into the master cylinder and / or in the wheel brakes, with sensors for determining the controlled variables and with an electronic circuit for evaluating the sensor signals and for generating valve actuation and pump control signals.

  • the motor-pump unit is therefore oversized for the large number of ABS brakes that only require a fraction of the maximum possible output. In the "normal case”, this leads to excessive delivery rates and results in disturbing pump, motor and valve noises as well as undesired pedal movements that impair comfort. Abstract
