Abstract

Un nouveau type de support de peinture remplace le papier pour aquarelle ou le papier toilé normalement utilisé en peinture. Ce support de peinture comprend en principe trois couches. La première couche à partir du bas est un tissu en coton (1a; 1b) recouvert d'un tissu non-tissé. Une couche de peinture au latex (3) appliquée sur le tissu non-tissé (2) forme la couche supérieure du support. On obtient ainsi des propriétés superficielles similaires à celles du papier toilé, avec l'avantage qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de tendre ce support de peinture sur un cadre. Il est donc plus maniable et meilleur marché que le papier toilé, mais ne se ride pas comme le papier lorsque l'on y applique de la peinture. Il a en outre l'avantage de permettre un meilleur contrôle de la fusion des couleurs. Ce support de peinture donne ainsi à l'artiste de nouvelles possibilités techniques qui révolutionneront l'art de la peinture.
