Abstract

The anti-theft device comprises a padlock (10) of which the locking member (12) has the shape of an elongated U and a support (16) comprising two cylindrical passages (17) having diameters corresponding to that of the branches of the locking member (12). The body (11) of the lock (10) and the support (16) are secured to the two arms (T) of the rear fork of the vehicle so that the holes of the body (11) of the lock (10) and the passages (17) of the support (16) are in alignment. In order to lock the device, the locking member (12) is inserted through the passages (17) up into the holes of the body (11) of the lock (10) and the latter is closed by means of the key (15). In the unlocking position, the member (12) may be back folded against the fork (T) so that it does not project laterally.
