Abstract

The security lock for the spoked wheel is mounted on one fixed fork (4) on a swivel mounting to swing out of the reach of the spokes when not required. The locking bar has a U-shaped end (17) which pulls into a straight section (10) forming the other leg of the complete U, with the spokes clamped between the arms of the U. The far end of the locking bar is also clamped around the other fixed fork (3) on the other side of the wheel to form a rigid, thief proof lock. The lock cannot be wrenched off the forkes without damaging the wheel. It is a simple improvement on conventional, straight bar locks, and is suitable for all spoked wheels, especially motorcycles and bicycles.
