- Arnica montana L. (Compositae family) has been one of the most important medicinal plants of the Central European medicinal treasure for many centuries, monographs of arnica flowers (Flores Arnicae) can be found in all German pharmacopoeias. Numerous medicinal preparations contain extracts from Arnica montana. The main focus of the use of arnica preparations is external use.
