Be it known that I, EDWARD F. ROGERS, of' Chelsea, in the county ot Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have originated a Design for a Vapor-Stove, of which the following is a specilication My invention combines ith an article of' use f'or domestic and other purposes, a shapely and ornamental appearance, land is represented in the accompanying photographicillustration.
a represents a stand or support, having its base molded as shown. From the base itdiminishes in a graceful curve to the upper portion, upon which is supported a shallow pan, b. Above this pan, with a narrow opening be tween, is supported a cylindrical chamber, c, forming the combustion-chamber.
Near the upper and lower ends respectively of the cylindrical chamber c is a curved projection, encircling the chamber and relieving its plain surface, while it tends to strengthen the same.
The chamber c is surmounted by a series ot' curved projecting points, as shown. f represents a reservoir somewhat resembling a lamp in shape, and snrmounted by an ornamental top-piece. The reservoir f is supported upon a' stand or base, g, to which it is connected by means of a tube formed with a reverse curve.
Extending from the lower part ofthe revcrsclyisurved supporting-tube to and under the cylindrical chamber c is aconnecting-tube, d, which is provided with a stop-cock near each end, as shown.
At the center of the tube d and communieating with the same by means of short pipes, is an urnshaped chamber or vessel, e.
My device, while it forms a very useful arti cle for heating purposes, possesses also a sufficiently-ornamental appearance to admit of' its introduction to the dining and living rooms, where it may be desirable to use it for cookingr purposes as well as heating.
What I claim as my invention is- A design for a vapor-stove, consisting of the molded and curved base a, the pan b, the cylindrical chamber c, reservoir f, and regulator-chamber c, all connected and arranged and ofthe form substantially as shown and described.
lu testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
